He was easily my favorite Eagles growing up as a kid in South Philly, living 2 miles away from The Vet. The one thing I would have mentioned in this video is a large part of why Randall didn't have the success he could have in his prime were the offensive lines he had to play behind and the lack of a true offensive coordinator with the vision to use his talents. The Eagles had one of the worst lines in the league for many years. Ron Heller was dirty, but awful and a guy like Ron Solt was way past his prime. I don't think Seattle made a mistake with a pass. An unsuccessful run on 2nd down forces you to pass it on 3rd and 4th down. Lynch was not a great goal line rusher. The problem is the pick route Seattle wanted to go with, their wide receiver core was not built for that which is why Malcolm Butler easily jumped the route after recognizing the play. Seattle should've tried the goal line fade with Chris Matthews. Matthews had been the hot hand for that entire playoff run including 109 yards in that Super Bowl. I think that “Let Me Be Me” was more about his play style in the Eagles offense at the time. From what I’ve read they wanted him to stay more in the Pocket than move around to stay. And he was struggling with that. But if you look at when he tore his ACL. Where did it happen? In the pocket.
Thankyou for making this video... Randall Cunningham wasn't selfish or anything like that...that whole "ME" time period was brought on because of Buddy Ryan. Buddy never made a game plan...he told Randall to go make something happen...LITERALLY. But Buddy would take the accolades...all the credit when the EAGLES won. Buddy would draft bums for the offensive line...then Buddy got fired. Enter dumber than a box of rocks Richie Kotite...who HATED Randall Cunningham. Hated the running quarterback. Never really knew the west coast offense...but tried implementing the offense anyway. Thats why Reggie left. Seth Joyner left. Eric Allen left. Clyde Simmons left. Jerome Brown died. Injuries happen...but Kotite would go to the media to try and communicate with Randall Cunningham...the star of his team? A shitshow for sure.
People still drool over Lamar Jackson's 2019 MVP season, and don't get me wrong, it was spectacular, but in 1990 Randall Cunningham had 3,466 yards and 30 touchdowns passing with 942 yards and 5 touchdowns rushing on 8 yards per carry! He was the first QB to throw for over 3,000 yards and rush for 500 more in a season, and he ran for 942! His 4,408 total yards and 35 touchdowns as well as a 10-6 record as a starter somehow didn't warrant him an MVP, as well as the fact that he spread the ball out tremendously, having 4 players pass the 500 yards mark and 3 players catch 6 or more touchdowns, and keep in mind the leader on his team in catches and yards was Keith Byars, the 4th running back on the team!

Great video! I think Cunningham is a way better QB than Vick. Vick was a super athlete with a strong arm, Cunningham was a more efficient passer and much better at reading defenses and calling audibles. Cunningham proved with the Vikings that he could be a great pocket passer and not just a mobile QB.
Kile Taylor Just like Doug Williams, RC showed his full potential as a passer with great pass-blocking. RC was only sacked 20 times in 1998. Those horrible O-lines in Philly forced him to scramble and run. Additionally, the O-line that Dennis Green built provided Cunningham with a running game so that the focus wasn't all on him.

I've never clicked so fast on a video before
I did on the previous KTO video... And the one before that... I have an adicton...
I pretty much grew up at the Vet..parents had season tickets from 1982-2004..Randall was my fav qb..crazy how time flys go buy..great vid.
Fran Tarkenton was the original mobile QB
My Dad as a teen used to watch Cunningham as a kid all the time
How old are u lol
Im 14
Levanta Miller I’m 14, and I meant like 18 or 19, not teen teen
SupremeJunk child
Whenever that music starts playing at the end it gets me so pumped up to go back and watch more KTO videos
Idk where you got this footage, there's like no highlights of him that I can find
I've seen every YT vid of my childhood idol Randall Cunningham and this is the gem of them all. Thank you for the well produced video!
You should do a video on the 1983 fighting Illini football team, they were the only team at the time to beat every team in the big 10
RC was revived in MN! Admire him so much for his accomplishments and spirit. Should have been a SB winner.
Randall Cunningham:I’m the best qb scrambler ever
Michael Vick:Hold my my right- handed glove...
@Money 69 no he wasn't. Even stats on NFL.com shows each categorical stat.michael Vick way better scrambler than Cunningham.
@@Macabre124 Yeah, that’s why he said “Micheal Vick: Hold my right handed glove” It was a play on words because of the “Hold my beer” Meme. Vick emerges and becomes better than Cunningham. Nobody said Cunningham was better than Vick. I can’t believe I had to explain this 🤦🏽♂️
@@Anonymous-nh7cb well here is the thing, you did not have to explain this. This conversation was between me and him. Where you come from? Go comment on someone else feed. No one ask you to "explain this". Everyone entitled to their perceptiosn and opinions so bro, cmon. None of your business man
The two most dazzling offensive players when they were running with the ball in the early 90s were Barry Sanders and Randall Cunningham.
"Didn't *fly* with teammates and coaches."
I see what you did there.
thanks for this. Randall was a lot of fun to watch and I'm glad you did a video on him.
Do one on Michael Vick the OG Lamar Jackson
If only the 98 Vikings won a title, Randall would've got his deserved praise as an all time great
The day a QB jukes me like that I swear I'm neck roping
Woah, please dont
Definitely an underrated UA-cam channel but I love the vids and your channel just keeps growing
He’s the GOAT from a talent standpoint. Brady has more rings, Manning has more fame, Montana was more clutch, but Cunningham was the best talent.
Cunningham never had their coaching backing. A real shame.
I agree, along with Mahomes, Randall is the most talented Qb ever. Phenomenal arm talent on top of the athletic ability
He's the real deal that Lamar Jackson is looking to emulate. And it's a shame people don't bring up Randall when they see Lamar.
But that era had so much talent though. Montana, Marino, Moon, Esiason, you name it.
Your outros are legendary. Always gives me goosebumps
I'd take Cunningham over Vick any day. One of the most underrated players ever.
hell no
@@cedricfeacher5993Vick wasn't anywhere near the passer Randall was. NOT EVEN CLOSE.
If you grew up in the tristate area in the 70s or 90s, him and Doctor Jay were mythical creatures
I don’t think Randall is the OG Michael Vick, but more about OG Cam Newton in terms of ability
People who didn't get the opportunity to watch this dude play will never truly understand how much he changed the game of football. Marino was my favorite player growing up, but I always had mad respect for Randall.
Your forgetting when he went on the Vikings he had two godly receivers in Randy Moss and Chris carter
And Terry Bradshaw had Swann and Stallworth. What's your point?
Missed this series! Good to see it back.
Kile Taylor
Just like Doug Williams, RC showed his full potential as a passer with great pass-blocking. RC was only sacked 20 times in 1998. Those horrible O-lines in Philly forced him to scramble and run. Additionally, the O-line that Dennis Green built provided Cunningham with a running game so that the focus wasn't all on him.
Thank you as a cowboys fan growing up in the 80's and 90's this man give us nightmares I was happy when he left Philly, but I respect him more than any other Qb they had.
Not first gang
Lol one second off
What is that name
Running qbs have always been apart of the game going back to the wishbone offense and the wing t offense.
I'm a simple man:
I see KTO video, I click
Randell Cunningham and Randy Moss made me love the NFL again, that was A very exciting duo and team!
Lmaooo I got to UNLV, I felt disrespected but yeah we’re trash at football 😂.
yeah man Randall Cunningham was definitely the OG....he really changed the game and I used to love using him in video games! Dude was amazing!
