You are probably getting slippage from the centrivacle clutch and you prob need to add a plate or 2 in the shift clutch not sure what is causing the play but it's not right

I had the same isssue with mine. The inner hub was not seated.
Pull apart line it all up on inner hub slide it into the outer. put the springs and bolts in if it seats correctly

The clutch basket is not assembled correctly or one of the plates is not seated correctly. Remove the 4 bolts on the spring plate and repeat it.

How many km’s or miles or hours are your quads at when you start having clutch issues?

Looks like something is hung up on the lock down bolts,or there's something else is preventing the clutch from engaging as it is supposed to be at all times except during a shift...

The clutch is disengaged when the clutch discs are loose like that, something is holding it like that instead of locked in,only when you shift,or lift the shift lever on a manual auto is that thing supposed to be loose like that while the lever is lifted,or shift motor is activated on an es model...

Take the nuts off the plate check the spring I've heard that taping on the plate when lightly tighten will seat them then finish tightening

Just clutch discs you don’t change basket unless it’s damaged or you upgrading to aluminum
