      i think there was a british dude that made the first one a year ago or so, can't remember, but nothing new

      sFde46 I'm not sure if you're referring to my introduction video or not, which was about a year ago. I'm from New Zealand, and the trailers have been fully redesigned and are now being built in the States for the US and export markets. We'll be launching in Europe and the UK soon. Thanks.

      VirusTornado Air bag suspensions have been in use for 30 years in commercial trailer applications. It just seems new because its now available for use by consumers for recreational use.

      Doug Hanchard I know airbag suspension has been used forever now, I'm just surprised that not many people have designed mass produced airbag trailers.

    These seem pretty nice, makes for quick loading on many cars. Not sure on the cost, but I'm sure you could go buy an enclosed car trailer with a big long door... That way your precious toy and everything else can be out of the weather.

    • @AirbaggedTrailers
      @AirbaggedTrailers  9 років тому +3

      Hi, a lot of our customers also have enclosed trailers, but it really comes down to personal preference. Enclosed have many benefits but also downfalls (size, weight and more effort to tow, etc), so some people prefer open trailers for their easy access and towability. We're planning on adding an enclosed version in late 2015. Thanks

    Great idea. I beg to know why you would need a remote to do this?

    • @AirbaggedTrailers
      @AirbaggedTrailers  9 років тому +7

      Thanks Christian! The remote isn't necessary but is handy for say if you are towing low and approach a very steep driveway or gas station entry. Also if you're by yourself and in a car that is too wide to open the doors after driving on, you can air it up and open the doors over the fenders (many cars can open their doors while low, but obviously not all can do this).

    If air is used to get that thing up in the air, wouldnt that be a bit too heavy for the air to handle? if the car is on it?

    • @AirbaggedTrailers

      +=Jay= Airbags use compressed air, from the compressors and air tank on board.

      Jay: Dont forget, all semi trucks have at least rear air suspension. Airbags can handle a lot weight.

  • @nsocwx

    I want this bad, but my lowered car doesn't need a trailer ;)

  • @caferacervic
    @caferacervic 6 років тому +1

    Obviously, rear row of tires will get wear much faster.

    • @airbaggedtrailers1488
      @airbaggedtrailers1488 6 років тому

      No, the trailer tires all wear evenly. The suspension is fully independent and the loan on each wheel is identical when towing, so wear is even.

    Also whats the max towing capacity? I also seriously doubt it can out work and handle a Maxey. That trailer would break with a dodge dually on it. Not worth that kind of money when all you can do is load a medium size car. 5k more to have 3 degrees?

    • @airbaggedtrailers1488
      @airbaggedtrailers1488 7 років тому +3

      Judging a race car trailer by it's ability to tow a Dodge dually is a bit like judging a supercar on it's ability to fit your family and groceries in it. It's designed for a purpose and optimized for low, wide cars, not maximum capacity at the expense of low-loading. If you want to tow trucks, any regular budget trailer will do the job, which is not the goal with this trailer. If you want to load a lowered Ferrari/Lambo/etc and not scratch/damage it's bumper, this is the best trailer to have.

    Fun when the remote malfunctions and drops the trailer flat on the highway in 60mph ;)

    • @AirbaggedTrailers
      @AirbaggedTrailers  10 років тому +4

      This wouldn't happen, but say a child pushes the remote buttons while you're driving, the safety stops would prevent the trailer from lowering to the ground while towing. These simply flip out of the way when you're stopped and need to load/unload.

      Not sure how you concluded that from a video of it not moving, but it doesn't. The towing is superior in every way (smoothness, quietness, and stability) to any trailer on the market, and we'll happily put it up against any trailer in a head to head test. The airbags, Bilstein shocks and independent suspension provide the ultimate towing possible.

      Oh snap! Did you just shut his argument down. Anything can be a failure brother. But considering you're just trolling YT to be a hater (your words, on your channel) this is a pointless argument. But i will say this, you can not manufacture nor market a product for public sale/use without having the DOT sign off on the design/function/safety of the product. If you do try to skip the DOT approval, and anything happens.....you're in for a world of trouble.

    • @Balakul
      @Balakul 10 років тому

      Amm... this is only my oppinion. - I know that thing must be safe to use and stuff... but here is the deal I'm aming at: you remember you bought a piece of tech 10-15 years ago... it lasted. It was made simple, god mats, maybe you have to put some eforts for special occasions, but you probbably still have it at home.
      Now you buy some fancy piece of thenology, it has its 1-2 year garantuee after that almost always something brakes. Cheap materials. You what I mean?
      Im just saying market is offering us same stuff in new packings every day, but the worth of items is less and less...
      P.S. this is not ment to be arguing or trolling or something, as I said just an oppinion.
