- This is the first flight on the Cherokee Six from Colorado to our new property in Kentucky. A Lot of Things are Changing and who knows what our future holds. Join us on this Private Flight from Colorado to Kentucky and as I reveal the property and trails. I bought an ATV and a side-by-side but I had to widen the trails to be able to fit the side-by-side. After a few days of hard manual labor, I managed o get the UTV all the way to the top of the property.

Kapa used to be my home base too. Love that airport.
When I was learning in Jacksonville, FL we were told by the instructors that, if you can fly out of KAPA, you can fly out of anywhere. It has all the elements including density altitude. It's a nice airport but ridiculously expensive. Big Sandy is a big change to not see much traffic. 😀. It will be a nice change of pace!
Eastern Kentucky is pretty beautiful, visit Paintsville Lake if you get a chance as well as Pig in a Poke for good BBQ. I have flown out of 9KY9, and big sandy airport. Talk to Larry Short and visit 9KY9 when you can, let me know if the old single engine low wing is still sitting in the jungle on the ramp!

2:30 🤣 good to know my kids aren't the only ones on the computer. Your property looks beautiful but don't you miss the mountains? Also you sure could use a skid steer or compact tractor. That property has enough projects on it for thousands of UA-cam videos! lol.
Hi Jason! I don’t personally don’t know what to feel about those darn computers 💻. I just know that life was fun going outside and enjoying life surrounded with friends. Now AI seems to be their best friend 😎
I must have missed some of your videos, my friend... I need to get caught up.. I used to stop at Topeka for fuel, but their prices are through the roof anymore. Marysville is a good fuel stop. Anthony is another one. Cameron, MO is another one.. Flying is getting REALLY expensive these days....

Hello there! I plan on keeping both for the moment. They both have a uniqueness and I still need the Cherokee Six for family trips due to its useful load capabilities.

Very vivid drive -v- fly comparison! Cuts the, "are we there yet?" factor by 83.3%! Your Six hauls the mail. Trail work by hand is hard, but the results are so worth it. Happy that you can stand on your own property and hear - nothing...

Thanks 😊 There’s a lot of land and woods up here filled with wild animals. I’ve caught them on the trail cameras scattering as I approach but you never know how they are going to act at any given moment. Plus, I like to target practice while I spend time up here from time to time.
Agree with you on the Tru-Trak. History shows that anything Bendix King touches is a death blow.

Since you will be on the east coast and don't need the high-altitude performance will you be keeping the Saratoga? :) JK I already know that answer, one is never enough!
That's actually something that I've considered but having that Saratoga is really nice 😃. I guess it would depend on what type of flying the future may hold for me. But I am still going to be dealing with Denver for a while.

I got most of the stuff hauled with my 2 box trucks but still have a few more things later on when we finalize the move. It's been a blessing having those box trucks!
