Raul GREAT video, it was great seeing Elizabeth in the front seat getting some flying time in. I know Javier had to be wishing he was sitting up there. The cabin and studio turned out fantastic. You have a beautiful piece of property there. I have been casually looking up in Kentucky, West Virginia for some property like that. Enjoyed the video and I started laughing when your daughter broke out the 99 bottles song. hahahaha stay safe guys.
Thank you Frank. I looked forward to Isabel seating in the front seat for a change. I enjoy spending one on one time with my children. But because I've been doing a lot of harder labor I've been bringing Javier along for help. I think he was probably glad to stay and relax. The cabin was a great idea and I am hoping to make a lot of products from here. The Appalachia region has been a favorite of mine for many years. To my surprise, Isabel did not sleep through the trip. You better believe she helped keep me stay alert and awake 😀
Raul, the shop turned out good, I really like your land and the fact you have hills. The one thing I miss from growing up and living out west is the mountains. now living in Texas not a whole lot of mountains, but I still like living here. Looking forward to more content, SAFE travels to you and the family!
Thanks a lot! The Hills are pretty awesome and I’ve always loved the mountain scenery. I lived in Florida and also in Texas and it is definitely flat. I also like that the mountains in the Appalachia’s are not as high like in Colorado so density altitude is not as bad 😀
Wow! A thousand miles in 7 hours! It takes me almost that long to drive from Tucson to Lake Powell in northern Arizona! About 400 miles. That Saratoga sure is a beautiful airplane. Maybe I'll have one in my next life. For now, my old Archer will have to do... Just had both magnetos rebuilt. My mechanic friend and I put them in two days ago. Now, I can't get it to start. So, we did something wrong. We're going to pull them tomorrow morning when it's cool. See what happened... There was nothing wrong with them, except for the fact they were 37 years old... (-: But, they did work. The property sure looks beautiful! Good luck getting everything just the way you like it! God bless, my friend.
It takes me about 21 hours driving and I split it into two days. I had changed my mags on the Cherokee Six a few years ago and it would not start. After fooling around with it for a while we realized that they set the timing sequence wrong. Sent them back and they fixed it. I hope yours is a much simple fix. Thanks and the property is coming along very well. Been working a lot! 😀 God bless you too my friend!
Hey I might be overthinking, and it could be camera wobble, but I swear that your nose gear is loose at the knuckles. Check the video on the second takeoff after refueling. Please prove me wrong - get it checked out. I just don’t want you to have a collapse. God bless! Thanks for sharing your flights!
Thanks for being concerned and bringing it to my attention. Gear inspection is a habit of mine during preflight. Also during taxi and roll by feeling the rudder pedals. But Yes, I noticed it on the footage when I was editing the video. I’ve had several folks throughout the years bringing this wobbly motion to my attention even on the Cherokee Six with fixed gear. The wobbling depends on which camera I use. Without the stabilization it is just reacting to the engine rotation. Specially on high power settings cruising down the runway. I’ve seen footage wobble way worse that you would think the wheels are falling off. This happens on all my outside footages using this camera. But I can certainly understand your thoughts and concerns and I appreciate you for bringing it to my attention. Safety is not to be taken lightly! God bless you also and your concern is greatly appreciated.
Great video dad! Love you! 💙
Thank you sweetie! Daddy loves you too! 😀
Amazing 🎉 congratulations on the new shop. Your hard work is inspiring. Looking forward to more aviation/Kentucky action.
Thank you very much my friend! Working on editing the next one as we speak 😀
