is the heat shield gonna be hotter than roughly warm to the touch? looking to install this on my motorcycle exhaust pipe to keep the saddle bags from melting
I bought enough of the carbiulders heat shields for my vx commodore v6. I need to wrap around the headers but should I put the shields hard onto the headers? ( basically wrap them? ) or do I put spacing of 10 mm approximately in between? Reason I'm asking? It's so much easier to wrap and shape, and lock it off? But I'm not sure if I should gap then away from the exhaust manifolds? Any reply appreciated. Cheers
Well done, looking good.
Thank you! Cheers!

any rattling due to the clamps ?
Is it easy to bend or cut
Hi can I know the name of the material you are using? What is it called?
Hi banubash. We used this product www.carbuilders.com.au/ehs_k 👍
He called it embossed aluminum.
Interestig but what are the benefits ?
Massive reduction in heat that is hitting the floor pan 👍
Reflecting heat is damn near always a good thing
👌👍

I am not sure how long these (simple) metal clamps will last down there with water, heat, dust etc.
