    I cooked a half small bowl of cut oats in water daily with a drizzle of maple syrup sometimes or pears everyday before I worked long days in medical theatres as a nurse. I dropped 27 kg without trying. Just oats for breakfast, fruit morning tea, salad for lunch. And I had so much energy to do long 12 hr shifts on my feet!. 🙏

    Buy organic rolled oats people! Most commercial oats (90% +) is contaminated with glyphosate also known as roundup. That’s weed killer by the way.

      @shaun2222 Why is it that the Quaker Oats that sold in the UK is healthier than the oats in America? Other countries have banned certain foods and yet in America they are still on the shelves. I saw a news piece about this a few months ago. Luckily, my daughter told me about an app called 'Yuka' and when you scan the barcode of the product (food, drinks, cosmetics, deodorant), it will not only tell you the rating and why it's bad, poor, good or excellent but it also gives you healthy alternatives. I threw away stuff that had a low rating. Will definitely use this app whenever I go shopping. Pass the info along to educate and help others to shop better for their health sake.

      Never liked it as a child either. I still don't like it, but I used to eat the steel cut oats almost everyday. Then I heard some doctors explain why oats weren't good. I guess they didn't explain which type of oats aren't good for you. I've lost so much weight from all the foods and herbs Dr. Mandell mentioned to eat. Lol. I now need to gain weight.🙄☺️

      I’m a gluten free …more than 8 years and I assure you.literally has had Nothing to do with oats. However…the brand of oats Can make a difference in whether they are guaranteed to be free of weeds and cross contamination of previous crop left over seed that comes up that are real glutinous…they must be an organic brand. A famous cereal,made of oats has scammed people the past Year or 2 by saying ..oats are naturally gluten free so they stamp every box of cereal as gluten free…and it’s an out N out lie. They buy their oats from various growers and have no guarantee that there is no mix in them…except the FDA permits some percent of a gluten grain to be..excused from counting tests ..as able to be called gluten free. That’s a lie too. It must be Totally guaranteed gluten and weed free…by intense testing in factories before it’s ever processed to be sure it is gf free. And what processing does to oats..is also another matter as this dr. said. For sure..don’t buy an aleady famous brand with that claim on Their cereal or just oats…dry cereals with oat base have sugars in them. Use a gf sweetener if wanted of stevia..monkfruit or even the one accepted chem sweetner of near a 100 years repute as non damaging,,,the old saccharine..or as known.now as Sweet n Lo. Or .Honey. Another dr. online completely dismisses any kind of oats. He’s a nut case imo because only what ..cured His disorders are what he wants everyone else to eat…even if they don’t have his particular disorders. Don’t be caught in some online doctors personal crap. Listen to dr.’s who give you the real,basic information of a food. Then ask your own doctor to see what they know about your case and what foods affect you….

So i cook it with low fat milk to make it creamy and put chicken or beef broth. Eat it with avocado and boiled eggs. You can do with many toppings too. Since then, never ever craving again, i feel full the whole day and full of energy. Can do workouts 40-60 min. everyday and not feeling dizzy. Enjoy my life more now 😊

Last Thursday I received my grain mill and IMMEDIATELY made my first loaf. Wow! Changes are quick and I can't wait to see even more improvements over time. Within 3 days my energy levels were up and I didn't want snacks in the evening and my meals are seeing me eat less. I previously experienced anaphylactic shock if eating modern bread products. I love oatmeal too, using regular oatmeal or oat bran. My son started eating oatmeal each day only he likes the flavored type. Steel oats is better?
    Oh wow but takes longer to cook.
    He's. Always hungry because of the flavored type. And yes I put nuts, berries in it, using almond milk even adding chia seeds before cooking it up, and yes cinnamon ✔️ Enjoy your oats. Gnight everyone

    Dr mandell what do you think about lectins in oatmeal...

  • @floraluxla
    @floraluxla 20 днів тому

    Dr. Mandell, I love your content and appreciate all the knowledge and wisdom you share with us. I disagree with you on this one, however. Diet is highly individual and not a one-size-fits all prescription. What is commonly accepted as a health food may be inflammatory for some people, my self being one of them. Oats are also high glycemic, which is not usually a good food to incorporate if one is trying to lose weight. It's a good idea to get a food intolerance test if you have any suspicions or just want to know what your body might not be tolerating well. I'm also a huge fan of the Metabolic Type Test.- which can help you determine if eating oats, for example, is cohesive with your metabolic type. Cheers.

    A really good alternative to the healthy looking muesli packs in supermarkets - rolled oats and sultanas. 1 kg of each, mixed. I use a tall cereal container and mix by adding in stages and then shaking in a circle. Under £2 and is 2kg of good cereal. Hot milk, no sugar. Best to leave for a minute to soften the oats though, or have water at the same time for the first mouthful

    I mix my steel cut oats with the little red lentils about half and half. More protein I figure and more lasting energy. Also so yummy!
