    As soon as they updated the monitor calibration I immediately sold my GH5s and bought a P6Kpro. The 12bit codec flexibility is absolutely amazing and ensures that you will never be limited to what you can do with the image. I also look forward to seeing BM push the boundaries this year in camera tech!

    One of the best reviews and not one of these "great value for the money" focused commentaries". Much appreciated 👍

    Nice video. I've 6k pro and one not pro as b cam. Top cameras.
    But the best investiment is for a thing that will be always top,.for the true quality i mean..
    Lenses.
    In the future we'll have new BM 8k..12k.. 44k.
    Lenses will be there ..ever!

      The commercial link is a pop up card. It comes up right when I mentioned the link. I’ll put it in the description so it’s not so confusing. My bad.

    Need a recommendation… what camera do u think could be better for Music videos and some comercial works Sony A7IV or BMPCC 6k pro?

      6k Pro in my opinion. People have been saying the look of the 6K Pro has a more attractive, natural look, compared to the Sony A7s. I currently own a 6K Pro and the camera is amazing.

    Hi! nice video! I’m a beginner filmmaker and i’m thinking of buying this camera instead of some sony a7 iii or a canon. I have a few questions about it tho.. (If you can answer, it would be really helpful :) )
    1. Is the battery life good? Because i’ve seen a lot of reviews saying that the durability is not good and for the upcoming short films that i want to make, i want a camera that can last at least 3 hours without re-charging it.
    2. Also about the battery grip, you should buy it right ?
    3. Is it like really big if you want to hold it and film without a tripod? That depends on the lens of course, but is it easy to use? As i mentioned on the previous question about the battery grip, will I be able to hold it with the grip while filming holding the camera?
    4. Is it worth buying such an expensive camera as a beginner or should i go on something cheaper?
    Anyways, if you answer it could really help me out. Have a nice day!

      @stevenfries7032 2 роки тому +3

      the battery life is not the greatest when you are recording in BRAW. it is decent when recording in prores. But for that flaw, overall it is an amazing camera.

    • @UpHillCinema
      @UpHillCinema  2 роки тому +1

      Steven is correct.
      If you get the battery extension grip you’ll get roughly two hours depending on what your doing. One thing that’s nice with BMD is how fast boot up time is on the camera. So I turn mine off if not using. Help with battery life. I also bring a small v mount battery with me, with a d tap to 2 pin connector. So I’ll keep it plugged in when in my car, or bag. That way it’s being charged will it just sitting.
      I have filmed several docs with this camera and it’s never been a deal breaker, just a solution finder.

    I feel that the pockets are a little outdated. Plenty of UA-cam vids of ex-pocket owners switched over to the Red Komodo. BMD has to release a camera that is an upgrade over the older pocket cameras in my opinion. And I believe they will.
    I can see BMD dropping 2 new cameras before the Summer. 1 in the price range between 3300-3700k, this will be the upgrade over the pockets.
    And the other a new edgier camera around 9k (both different bodies). 16bit upgrade over 12bit recording.
    While the Ursa 12k sits in the middle (with an update, 16bit+ recording).

      too soon to call it out dated. we should consider Red Komodo in other category. price difference is big.

    • @skyist3742
      @skyist3742 2 роки тому +4

      The komodo is overpriced due to it being a RED product and really isn't the best option for smaller cams. Why buy a cam that needs additional accessories for a base price of $6K? If I'm paying $6K why wouldn't I get a full cinema package? C200, C300 mk2, EVA 1, URSA 12K and G2 are all in the same price range as the komodo.. The pocket cameras give you everything and at times more than the komodo for half the price... No budget cam compares image/color wise, and black magic raw is unbelievably easy to use for any computer system
