Me too bro. But I think they can't compare lemon and apples. Howard is a great singer but Jesse has been killin his own material. Indeed he is covering Howard's song but ok padin naman.

Dude the resemblance is uncanny you have to admit there isn't anything in metal like it . Obviously there's a difference but I'm definitely a fan of both , that new song they made " the signal fire " was fan service at its finest I hope they do more collabs together . Both of them are the heart of what is Killswitch Engage .

Nothing against Adam D, hes amazing, but if he spent less time downing beer and jumping about, he might actually get through the intro of this song with out fucking up at least 3 times 😂
I'm a Howard fan and a Jesse fan. Both bring something to the table and he did a very good job on this song. I was listening for little things and he didn't try to do things he knew he couldn't do and was very professional. Sounds great Killswitch!
+Anthony Seaman Exactly, howard has better clean vocals and Jesse had more hardcore screams; in fact I still maintain the best KSE ever sounded was when they did that last rendition of My Last Serenade, Fixation etc.. with both Howard and Jesse at the same time in the farewell concert for Howard leaving. It's too bad Howard couldn't have stayed on and they just had Jesse do the screams that Adam normally does plus a few other lines, and then add in Keyboard/synth or something having Jesse do that too. Nothing wrong with having two singers guys; several bands do it.
They are literally the most simple and badass band I have ever seen. They just wear normal T Shirts, no funky hair style. Not too much tattoos. Just badass and flawless playing and singing. You rock Killswitch Engage !👍👍
Jeese's screams man, so much power, something that Howard lacked but I love KSE regardless, Disarm the Descent was a needed album in this genre. I do miss the operatic cleans from Howard, i wish they fused somehow lol Jesse + Howard = best metal vocalist evar.

Probably the only one who thinks this, but Jesse and Howard really compliment each other. They both picked up where each other left off, and both appreciate each other's created music in those time periods. I find similar vocal qualities in both along with their major differences.
Jesse is cool and all, and everyone looks like they are having fun, but damn I miss Howard. I feel like Howard has way more power and a lot more range.
***** For the most part, the good performances by Howard (in terms of cleans) are overdubbed. Jesse doesn't overdub. He has a different vocal style which is why it doesn't sound like he has soul in his voice. He definitely has soul, it's just that this isn't a song he wrote so he is trying to emulate Howard's sound which I personally feel he did well, but still.
Actually, Jesse LEACH helped these guys make their breakthrough album, Alive or Just Breathing, and I'd say that's still their best work even over As Daylight Dies, which is probably the best of the Howard-era albums. He actually wanted to make a masterpiece of art with that album and that passion shows in every part of it. Yes, Howard was in the band and helped them hit mainstream audiences, but the band is still being nominated for Grammys, and more recently, was commissioned to do a song for Game of Thrones. That goes to say that while Howard did help make the band much larger than it currently was at the time that Jesse left, both are equally as important to the band's success. Jesse got things started, Howard worked on Jesse's base, then Jesse came back and added back to the solid work that Howard did. I can foresee this band growing even larger now that Jesse is back. As much as I like Howard's voice and material, I've noticed Jesse is much more diverse musically and vocally- he can and does do a LARGE number of different things instead of just one style; you can see this in Disarm the Descent. Plus, you have Jesse's work with Times of Grace and The Empire Shall Fall, the former of which is downright EPIC.
Surely, you're kidding me. Again, I really like Howard's voice and lyrics, but most of Howard's lyrics and songs are about failed romance and heartbreak. Jesse, on the other hand, writes about a variety of subjects, from fighting corruption to personal faith. Howard and Jesse have two different voices, neither one is technically more skilled than the other. As for that performance of Serenade with Howard, Jesse didn't display any kind of jealousy on stage. I think you're looking way too deep into this if you think he looked jealous, considering he often let Howard take over despite Serenade being HIS song, and you could see it on his face: he loved playing with the band again and playing the song with Howard. And finally, no one was prohibiting Howard from staying with the band. He made the choice to leave because he thought it was best for him as a person. I don't blame the guy. As he says in This Is Goodbye (the final song on the final album he did with KSE): "It's my choice, please lay me to rest".
Awesome the pain I feel when you hit that note is so real and so simple ..... There is love.My wife left me for her rich cousin and we been together since 2002 with 3 boys and 1 girl. So depressed but this concert version is what getting me...no other upload or track can.Is there a afterlife will I see her there I must get thru to this for my 4 kid's.I must be mentally strong if not Im gone.
Watched Adam drink a beer and play for a minute straight live, dude is a machine. He never stopped jumping for an hour, insane. Jessie, don’t even get me started that dude can make your soul cry!
SemperStang certainly the screaming got to him. He could probably feel how off he was about to he and toned out rather than have his voice Peter out mid song. He was off for the rest of the song when he wasn’t screaming. His vocals were strained after that.
Jesse did a wonderful job with this song; but still, how Howard sounds singing this song is just unique and better. However, whether it's Jesse or Howard doing the vocals, Killswitch Engage will always be my favorite metalcore band.
All you people talking about Howard getting kicked for one he left on his own free will and second Jesse was the original singer to start with anyways so you obviously aren't the fans you think you are if you don't know that. .

Howard's voice was really good at a certain time. But it got weaker. And now it seems like Howard has lost a lot of the passion he used to have, especially with his live shows with Devil You Know. The thing I like about KSE with Jesse is that they all seem to be having a ton of fun, and Jesse is still a pretty good vocalist. IMO i think his voice has gotten a lot better since the old days.
SanityDZN I agree. I liked Howards vocals. He had better pitch and range but he lost his edge in the latter days. I prefer Jessies "hardcore" vocals though.
I just don't get why people feel the need to come to every KSE video and complain about Howard was sooo much better. I mean, I like Howard's voice a lot, but I also really like Jesse's and my personal preference leans more towards his voice and his lyrics (and his faith; I like that we have a common faith), but I'm not going to go to every Howard-era KSE video and talk about how Jesse is so much better than Howard. I mean seriously, they both have their strengths. If you want to hear Howard's voice, go listen to his new band, Devil You Know. Sorry if that came across as kind of harsh, it's just getting really old as a fan of both vocalists..
SanityDZN jesse himself said in an interview he really worked hard to improve his vocals form his days. In his early days he'd blow out his voice after a couple shiws and couldn't perform
I don't care what people say, Jesse has got a lot better. The live DVD with Howard is doctored up quite a bit. Go watch Howard from like Download 2007 and compare him and Jesse. About the same actually.
They're both rad for different reasons. I wish I could have been there. I love youtube we can just critique things at a distance even though we really weren't there. Lets all remember to still go to shows once in awhile too
No need to compare him to Howard because Howard will always be untouchable. And we all know that. But with that said, I'm actually extremely impressed with how Jesse was sounding... and also no matter who the lead singer is, I hate when the gutarist screams during live shows and I can't be the only one that thinks that way
+John Francis You do realize that Adam D (the guitarist) is the one who screams those lines on the ALBUM too right? Nobody else ever did those screams ever since the song was written. Adam has been doing screams that aren't possible for the singer (usually because he's currently singing a note at the same time the scream happens) way back to their "alive and breathing album" in 2003.
@@abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz4839 There was a 17 year old at one of my high schools metal concerts who could play the intro for Marianas Trench almost flawlessly. Its crazy these guys cant even learn their own song

SanityDZN
I agree. I liked Howards vocals. He had better pitch and range but he lost his edge in the latter days. I prefer Jessies "hardcore" vocals though.
Howard is so much better!!! Damn shame he's not coming back :(
I just don't get why people feel the need to come to every KSE video and complain about Howard was sooo much better.
I'm just happy the drummer decided to grow his hair out.
Good for him
Howard is irreplaceable but Jesse is doing a great job, props to him for carrying on the band's legacy 🔥
2:26 Oh my god. That's Epic!
I don't care what people say, Jesse has got a lot better. The live DVD with Howard is doctored up quite a bit. Go watch Howard from like Download 2007 and compare him and Jesse. About the same actually.
No just no
They're both rad for different reasons.
0:42 What is he saying?? ''The song is called ''My Curse'' and goes out to Adam Deesetrinkerproblem''?
+Fr3akymet4l Adam D's drinking problem
napalmburn1994 Thx
Jordan Mancino on drums hahaha..
Just seen them open for Anthrax in Detroit 4/8/17 they killed it the Killthrax tour was the shit!!!
Pains me to see that after all these years they cant ever seem to nail the intro
@@abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz4839 There was a 17 year old at one of my high schools metal concerts who could play the intro for Marianas Trench almost flawlessly. Its crazy these guys cant even learn their own song
