I just bought a cheaper version on cone maker. Where is the batter recipe on your description please? I know you need to move quickly when cone taken off baker and leave sealed ends downward and don't move for about 2 min until cooled. You have to be aggressive when working with batter. Keep trying it will work 😊

Just bought a no name Chinese one with a temperature dial on the top with no temp numbers on it. What should the surface temperature of the plates be? I can check the temp with a termo gun.
I am not very sure as the cone maker has its own dial according to the color of the cone you desire but NOT to determine the exact temperature like that in an oven. If your cone-maker doesnt have an English manual, may I suggest that you test run on your first few cones.

Been trying to find a pdf of the Chef buddy user manual. I did thermo gun it at close to 300 degrees on the high end. Guess I'll have to mix up a recipe and go at it and hopefully get it right.

Your batter is too thick And your not working fast enough to get it rolled and you need to press it down as it rolls on it’s seem and then wait thirty seconds to let it cool on the seem.
Hi, Is your lid a little wobbly on the right side behind. I bought one from Amazon all the way to Saudi Arabia, and the lid is a little wobbly on one side. I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or it's broken.

And I've already watched about 5 of these and first off I'd say you're batter is to thick and if you're going to stick with that mix use a piping bag to dispense the batter into the iron. If you check out the Carbons Golden video it shows how much easier it is rolling the cone with a rough surfaced cone form that is two metal pieces instead of the slick plastic molded one you're trying to get good results from. Does the instruction recommend using the towel, which barely appears to help. Maybe you should stick with bowls.
I usually start with online recipes, those with a lot of good reviews. Then adjust the butter or sugar, or time, a little by little, to find the perfect consistency and sweetness, when I bake cakes and cookies. I haven't made a waffle cone before because I am still shopping for a cone maker

just drop a choclate chip or two at the bottom. it will melt and block it. also a surprise at the end
Best way is to fold the end of the disk over the plastic cone before rolling, that way the tip is closed ;-)
