- CSX 544 leads an Intermodal train north at Ironville tower in Toledo Ohio before the Toledo Industrial Railroad (TIR) can run their interchange to NS. The TIR operates along the Maumee River front east side in Toledo Ohio. Their largest commodity is Pig Iron from the Cleveland Cliffs plant but they also move aggregates, chemicals and oil off ships it looks like. I cannot tell from satellite photos what industry the boxcars would be coming from. Can anyone shed some like on that? Essentially a transload operation, they do run on Norfolk Southern rails to interchange at whatever NS calls that yard in Toledo these days... about 4000 feet between the docks and the NS yard ladder or 2000 feet from Ironville to the yard ladder. Thankfully they cross 2 public roads. Power on this days train was GMTX 3406 and GMTX 2214. I would have gotten the westbound move at Ironville but some nosey prick from the refinery was getting his feathers ruffled about me hanging around...next time viewers!

A great start to the video with that quintessential brick Tower. Quite the set of power coming from GMTX not what one would expect as the one spent time in Texas. Interesting to see the new NS guns in pig iron service oftentimes saved for the junkiest cars. That Gondola order is strange and that it was a huge group but is split about 1/3 each with reporting marks NS. AOK & WRWK. A fairly big yard with decent trackage for once but see all those stub end tracks on the end is very unique. Really great coverage thanks for sharing this
The composition in these videos is perfect!
The last shot looked like a model train layout. Enjoyed the video
filming in public is a right protected by the constitution, nothing anyone can do about it.great video as always!!
Excellent footage.
Nicely done Scott, excellent views here! (Dave).
Another great video Scott.
Holy Toledo !
Both short lines in that area are hard to film because of the "secured facility" laws (Toledo Junction Railroad also operates not far from there)
Greatly filmed, very nice drone shots.
dang you really did get just about everything you should make some dvd's about all these
Now that's a railroad I never heard of, thank you for sharing. Also nice angles as always, I'm hoping to get either a Dlsr camera or a camcorder so I don't have to deal with the zoom being blurry. Aren't those the ones that don't usually tend to blur while zooming in and out when recording?
Very nice video 👍🏻
"Put some Smoke on that loco pipe.." 😄
Nice video as always! However, is locomotive 3406 a former Southern Pacific tunnel motor? Running long hood forward? Painted in GATX livery?!!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!! Blasphemy!
It’s definitely a tunnel motor to be sure
If ya say he was a prick, then he was a prick. Keep rockin Scott I really enjoy your videos, especially as a modeler from high desert modeling the GREEN east.
nice
"prick" ? you can do better, Scott.
