========= 40:1 LYRICS =========
Baptised in fire.
Forty to one
So silent before the storm
Awaiting command
A few has been chosen to stand
As one outnumbered by far
The orders from high command
Fight back, hold your ground!
In early September it came
A war unknown to the world
No army may enter that land
That is protected by Polish hand
Unless you are forty to one
Your force will soon be undone
Baptised in fire
Forty to one
Spirit of spartans
Death and glory
Soldiers of Poland
Second to none
Wrath of the Wehrmacht brought to a halt
The 8th of September it starts
The rage of the Reich
A barrage of mortars and guns
Stand past, the bunkers will hold
The captain has pledged his life
I’ll face my fate here!
The sound of artillery strike
So fierce
The thunder of guns
So come, bring on all that you’ve got
Come hell, come high water, never stop
Unless you are forty to one
Your lives will soon be undone
Baptised in fire
40 to 1
Spirit of spartans
Death and glory
Soldiers of Poland
Second to none
Wrath of the Wehrmacht brought to a halt
Always remember, a fallen soldier
Always remember, fathers and sons at war
Always remember, a fallen soldier
Always remember, fathers and sons at war
Always remember, a fallen soldier
Always remember, buried in history
No vermin may enter that land
That is protected by Polish hand
Unless you are forty to one
Your force will soon be undone
Baptised in fire
Forty to one
Spirit of spartans
Death and glory!
Soldiers of Poland
Second to none
Wrath of the Wehrmacht brought to a halt
No, no, no

I think that this one in particular is really bad though, the visuals are too slow and boring for a song this fast and tense. This looks like the lyric video for a romantic ballad, not a metal song. Yeah, a lot of that was Nazi propaganda to slander the Poles. I'm glad you did some more digging, the Poles have always been scrappy as all hell and strongly oppose threats to freedom, and not always exclusively their own (even former enemies on occasion).
Also, if you've never seen it I recommend looking up a cool animated short called "The Unconquered". Excellent and informative.
@@randallsimmons4677 Thank you for the suggestion, I will watch the animated short.
Just as a piece of information, the whole Polish cavalry charging tanks didn't actually happen. We gotta respect the Poles man. Even outnumbered 40:1 as Sabaton said survived for 5 weeks, with basically no airforce and no armour too. All they had was their INSANE Anti Tank guns and the will to exist. The Polish soldiers held bravely against the might of the Wehrmacht and the Soviet army, waiting for Allied support. It never came. Meanwhile in 1940, the French AND British survived for only 6 weeks, with way more troops than Poland, way more Planes and way more armour. The Polish people have always been pressured by other European nations around them, and every time they fought bravely, tooth and nail until every soldier fell. Respects to Poland. They stood up to evil and their sacrifice was never forgotten. Respect to all Poles reading this. Polska na zawsze!!
And if Britain and France attacked as soon as Germany entered Polish land the war would’ve been over much sooner but they decided to wait which is really sad because millions of lives could’ve been saved. Hopefully if something happens this time NATO will actually do something before it’s too late

The Poles were incredibly brave in World War II. Even after the country was occupied the Polish didn't surrender and would continue to fight throughout Europe, in the West and the East.
I wonder what it would be like as a Pole to see Warsaw fall in 1939, then in 1945 to see the 1st Polish Army enter Berlin with the Reds, fight through the German capital, and win.

Congratulations to Sabaton for creating this powerful song! 🔥
Heh, nasza piękna Polska. Kilka razy uratowaliśmy Europę lub nawet świat a i tak każdy się z nas śmieje. Ten utwór to jeden z waszych najlepszych utworów.
"We're gonna need You 40:1!"
They should play this at the euro’s.
The 1st battle of WWII, The first desperate line held against Evil

The fallen soldier I remember was my neighbor whilst my family was stationed in Germany. CW5 John Pratt of the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade was an Apache pilot shot down in the later years of Afghanistan. He is survived my his wife and daughter, who now live in the UK where she and he are from.
Władysław Raginis and Stanisław Brykalski's were absolute gigachads
I wonder if Joakim and Rob will do a duet of All Guns Blazing since Sabaton is touring with Judas Priest. That would be almost too much Metal!
Just kidding! There's no such thing as "too much Metal" 🤘😁🍺
Sabaton already did All Guns Blazing Cover
@@scottishbananaclan But he didn't do it with Rob Halford! That would be EPIC! 🤘😁
