With unflinching honesty, Cody details his personal battles, from being on the KIA list to the psychological toll of warfare, and recounts a particularly harrowing encounter during the battle of Fallujah. Beyond the battlefield, Cody confronts societal issues, including his views on media influence and the need to foster critical thinking in our youth.
Struggling with health issues, Cody's decision to seek medical retirement was fraught with resistance but equally with self-discovery. Now, as an advocate for mental health and a mentor guiding others through life transitions, Cody shares his mission to inspire and empower.

I’ve been all over the world during my nine year stint in the Army. Fought in OIF4, 06’-07’. I’ve deployed with Rangers and trained along side marines in some cases, met Naval Seaman and Air Force Airmen, seen a green Beret my first year in Army and I’ll never forget it, and I also stood next to the man who performed the actual field surgery on the guys leg in BlackHawk Down.
I’ve met guys in the coast guard.
There’s some people who just look military. They look, talk, sound, everything military and this guy reminds me of that guy. Those guys are bad af.
