This man deserves way more than 10K Subscribers. I am still fairly new to Destiny 2 and this is one of the best videos I have seen so far and I've watched A LOT in the past month to get better at PVP. Liked and Subbed.
I’d like to preface this by saying this was an incredible guide. I’ve mained Titan (specifically arc Titan) my whole destiny career, even if that has been a few years shorter than many players, and I’ve always considered myself a pvp guy first and a raid runner second, with everything else falling to the background. But I’ve never ran bottom tree in pvp, so was great to hear most of the things I do subconsciously put to words, as well as point out that I need to start running strafe lift since I’ve been too lazy to switch off of high lift this whole time. Not to mention it gave incredible insight to how I might play bottom tree in the crucible in the future. Anyway, on to my thoughts: Since stasis is a thing now and I like to run mid tree striker, I like a lot more resilience and strength for those respective reasons. To do this I have to tank my mobility to no less than three but also realistically no more than three, and keep my intellect in that same boat. It’s unfortunate, but I only get so many pints and I justify dropping these two stats by telling myself and everyone who questions me that I’m a controller player, so I can only utilize mobility to a certain extent so I just play less ape and suddenly mobility only really helps strafe speed and especially when I’m running high cal 120’s (or even regular 120’s because hot damn) I don’t need that much strafe in a fight. And thunder crash is only really good as a counter super in higher level gameplay so because I’m not going to get very many multi kills off of it and I’m at least a good enough player to not feel the need to waste super on just 1 dude because I panic and/or I’m too scared to even feel out a situation, I don’t need it on hand all that often. Recovery is great of course, and I love my grenades, so I like those as close to max as possible. In fact I love grenades so much that I’d run armamentarium with max discipline. Sadly that’s not at all realistic as I only get so many points per armor roll, but with armamentarium it allows me to comfortably lower my discipline which, in conjunction with keeping int and mobility low, allow for that higher resilience and str that I feel is more necessary in this sandbox and in mid tree striker. Of course armamentarium means no syntho’s or OEM, but syntho’s only procs 1 in 200 games in 3v3’s and I’ve never been a fan of running oem as part of a personal stigma against brainless loadouts, but since the nerfs I don’t feel as pressured to run it in more competitive pvp anyway. I’ve honestly never tried dunemarchers with mid tree though, and I might have to give that a shot. Rip grenades in that case though. So that’s just my thoughts from the perspective of a mid tree main in the current post beyond light sandbox.
Hey! First off thank you for such a lengthy and great response, alongside the really good feedback I appreciate that. I’ll keep this short but basically since beyond light I run 5 resil now VS the 3 I used to, because of 120s. I also switch up between dunes and some other exotics thanks to cryoclasm’s long slide. I recently did a tier list video on all things titan if you’re interested! PS. Although I main bottom tree arc for my competitive arc build, I must say middle tree is SOOO much fun in 6s with inertia override ha.
Ohhhhhh Castle made a new video. Rubs hands together, yeaaaaaa boi I found it interesting that you suggested such low Resilience. I think Drewsky made a video where 5 will help counter alot in the game like Ace and helping with dmg fall off. Maybe a video diving deeper into that? Love the content as always homie
Definitely elevated my game, switched some stuff around and how I thought while playing and came out with some 3 and 4 kd games easily. I can play well but seems more consistent now. I have a new gen console so I tend to match more sweats lolz
I’m new to Titan and I absolutely love this guide. Between you Apathetic and BravexHero I love your guys content. I love seeing some of the techniques shown from another perspective. I’ve been really trying to get the hang of Code of the Juggernaut and I know these tips will help me. Thank you so much. As a Hunter main as well I’m seriously considering making the switch and going Titan for my first play through of Beyond Light. Thanks Castle.
I never took the dunemarchers off until a couple seasons ago when they were bugged. I've been running the double grenade chest mostly since. Very nice video and enjoyed and thanks for the strats.
There is a tiny portion of the barricade model on the sides which can be shot through - both by you and others. While there are some angles which give you more hitbox cover with an invisible wall - be wary of the barricade model lying to you about where it actually extends to.
Hey, Just wanna say that I've been a hunter main for years. About two weeks ago I decided to play and learn Titan. My friend sent me a link to this video and it has vastly increased my game knowledge of Titan within the span of a day or two. Super awesome job! Heck, I even went flawless on my Titan last week and I feel like I owe it to Castle. Thank you so much!!! 💓

I've been a Titan main since Taken King, and a destiny player since the beta. I just found your channel and this is very high quality stuff! Rivaling the likes of Fallout Plays even. Good stuff, earned me a sub and I'm gonna go on a long watching spree on my double shift tonight lmao
@@CastleContent Good to hear! I can tell you've learned from him, you've got the same v i b e s in your vids, you know? I just got back into D2 when I got my PS5 so I'm excited to join your Discord and get grinding. Thanks for replying!
I stumbled on one video of yours (the quickdraw one) and now after watching 3 more, you’ve earned yourself a subscriber. This is fantastic content and some of the best informative D2 I’ve ever seen
Yo I appreciate that! Tell your friends please 👀 haha, jk, welcome aboard bro if you wanna chat or hang with us in the discord I’d be glad to see ya there!
The neutral game on bottom tree sunbreaker is why it's my favorite subclass to run. Get a grenade or melee kill and walk through the sunspot to get a damage boost and regen your abilities. Also the burn effect can help win duels against overwhelms. Additionally, the sunspots allow for us to go on crazy sprees with the hammers as long as you can consistently chain kills and extend the super.
Found your video through Apathetic. Great stuff! I love my titan for Pvp probably the most(I play all 3 characters). I know this vid came out before Beyond Light but I rock very high resilience and I absolutely love it. And as a constant "rebel" going against the meta as much as possible, I use snipers on my titan because I know the cqc on them is so strong. I subbed.
I'm thinking hes about to recommend catapult jump the whole time and im already thinking about how much it will improve my game against hunters and then he says strafe jump. I used to be a melee god but then I learned I wasn't aiming with my shotgun properly and I got so used to trying to OHK map people with a shotgun that I now forget to follow up with a melee. I think I have to switch my keybinds and go back to synthoceps, I think I got a lot of kills from the surrounded buff still being active and meleeing (I think it is OHK with surrounded and knockout?) also i have no idea why i never thought of standing IN the shield when a hunter goes to hop over. I want to like dunes but Im really not at the point yet of being able to shotgun-confirm i broke the shield-melee someone after confirming he was damaged by dunemarchers yet- then re-engage the first opponent and without that strategy I rarely get kills in 6s with dunes, maybe I push too hard and my team is camping so its for nothing. oversliding is a good point, doing a full blown slide directly towards an enemy to get literally on top of them when you have a shotgun and a melee that has a 7 meter range is NOT OPTIMAL I fucking love lightning grenades, throwing them perfectly onto a wall at a narrow angle (wide angle?) so that they go completely perpendicular to you and map opponents horizontally to where they dont even know whats hitting them or how to escape is so satisfying, now that i type this out I need to raise my discipline (another great video of yours by the way)
I play PvP extensively on all three classes. I’ve been watching videos like these for years to build on what I already know. I’m a very good player and I need to say that I learned more from this video than I have in a long time. Especially on the jump portion. Fantastic content, I’m here to stay and learn more 🤙
Very solid guide. I am going to start pointing people here when they ask for titan tips. As a titan main since D1, it's good to see the class getting some love. Personally I like to do a charged bottom tree hammers build. I clutch so many from the grave kills from those sun spots and the super is excellent if you bait without getting too aggressive for super shutdowns, plus lane denial with tossing down more spots. Personally I run 6, 6, 10 on my typical build. Middle tree sentinel is also a favorite of mine and without the oppressive darkness cheese, can be a ton of fun in 6s (I wouldn't rock it in comp tbh).
Titan main, one more good tip. When popping fists of havoc the higher you fall the more damage you do, jump as high as you can (when safe) then jump as high as you can from that point THEN pop your super, watch those titan bubble dissappear and everyone inside die when you land. Good video, and il be giving the lightening grenades a try after watching this ;)
I got unbroken a few days ago and I still remember, the last kill of the comp match that got me unbroken was a kill I got with the lightning Grenade trick you showed while the last opponent was running away. THANK YOU
Great video bro, huge game changer in my plays now. I went from being a .70 to about a 1.25 and I maintain it now. May not be much to some but it's the world to me. I have you to thank for that, so thanks man. Keep being great.!!!
As a Titan main I've been struggling to find consistency in pvp, this helps a lot. I recently went back to bottom tree striker but I didn't really "get" what it did best, and I also need to switch off of pulse grenade. Move some of my res into dis.
Even though this vid is old but I am an expert titan and I always used bottom tree striker and used 1st nade for titan and catapult jump. Now I'll try out lightning nade and strafe lift.thx for the tips :). I play on ps4. Have fun :)
My usual Titan move in just about any Crucible scenario is to run three steps and die. Dire Promise, Mountain Top, or just a mean look from a Hunter, whatever the weapon of my demise may be, result is the same. But with this guide I'm feeling optimistic. Hoping to get four steps next time out.
Dude, i love this vid (i'm not even a titan) but you give me really good information to play as and counter some titans plays. Really love the vid, I hope you make another one in other subclass or class ^-^
Wow, glad I found your channel, really good info. I don't usually subscribe after one vid, but yours are that good. Keep up the good work, your channel will grow in Beyond Light when people come back to D2.
its likely well known, but something for titans vs.ing titans-shoulder charge can be heard, if you hear some strange wind effect that is a shoulder charging titan, makes them easy to track no radar needed. and for whatever reason if you put up a barricade it will absorb a tiny bit of shoulder charge damage leaving you alive to punch them, even if you don't kill I think Skull Fort only resets on kills in pvp so depriving them of that is good too.
Barricade is so underrated. Im not very good at all at pvp but i was able to lock a control point solo whilst my team capped b and c. I placed my barricade in the middle of the point and played in and around it.
Great vid bro. You just saved Destiny for me. I started as a Titan main in D1 but in year 3, i changed to a Hunter and have been ever since but for a while now I've not enjoyed Destiny 2, especially since Stasis😭 But watching this i thought why not give this ago so i did and now I'm kicking some Stasis ass in the Crucible with this build but with Synthoceps instead of Dunemarchers, as i don't have a decent roll of those. Thank you so much, I'm actually enjoying pvp again for the first time in age's!!!!🎊🎉🤗👍
I used to only use lightning nades but it's so unpredictable where they point because of little uneven places on seemingly flat surfaces. A lot of the time they point in a completely useless direction.
I’m too nasty with the pulses after using them since day one and they imitate the grenade from the Halo series so yeah I have like 20 years of muscle memory with those pulses. I will keep trying lightning grenades tho... I do see the big Brain play potential for sure
I play a lot of destiny but never liked the UA-cam side of it really. Never cared for any Destiny youtubers personally but you catch my eye in a refreshing way. Even though I main a Hunter/Warlock and despise the Titan, amazing video and looking forward to new content :)
I am a new player to D2, started with Titan, but I was getting dying like hell in crucible. So I created a hunter. But after this video I am going back an put myself in that difficult spot to improve. Thanks for the lessons
My favorite PvE Titan combo is middle tree Sunbreaker + Dune Marchers, reason being, the Dunemarchers static charge that is built up, hits where the melee hits, so if you're sprinting you can jump and throw your hammer across the field like Thor Odinson into a crowd of Thrall and vaporize them. Grab your hammer, Roaring Flames buff now x3, sprint and repeat. DROP THE HAMMER

Rubs hands together, yeaaaaaa boi
I found it interesting that you suggested such low Resilience.
Glad I could help! Thanks for the feedback denis.
I never took the dunemarchers off until a couple seasons ago when they were bugged. I've been running the double grenade chest mostly since. Very nice video and enjoyed and thanks for the strats.
This man is soooooo underrated
Hey right on! WELCOME ABOARD haha
Great video man!! Been a Titan main entire Destiny life and I learned a few things here. Thanks.
Ive porbably been playing d2 for roughly just over a year and i can say i absolutely love it and im am literally a content sponge when it comes to yt and d2 and ive watched tons of stuff just to know more n more about the game but this vid is asesome i felt like i was learning so much even though ive watched 100s .just wanna say thanks for the info and pls keep up the awesome content because yours will now be the first i look for
Thanks so much Zowie! Happy to help and excited to keep going.
I've been a Titan main since Taken King, and a destiny player since the beta. I just found your channel and this is very high quality stuff! Rivaling the likes of Fallout Plays even. Good stuff, earned me a sub and I'm gonna go on a long watching spree on my double shift tonight lmao
Ehh thank you!!
Fallout is my #1 fav content creator. Hands down.
@@CastleContent Good to hear! I can tell you've learned from him, you've got the same v i b e s in your vids, you know? I just got back into D2 when I got my PS5 so I'm excited to join your Discord and get grinding. Thanks for replying!
See ya there!
Ive been Titan main for many years. This was well done and yes I learned some stuff. Thanks
I subbed.
Thanks for the kind words dude! Apa’s a fantastic guy and beast of a player.
Amazing bro! You really sold me on lightning grenades!
Thanks Apa!
I think I have to switch my keybinds and go back to synthoceps, I think I got a lot of kills from the surrounded buff still being active and meleeing (I think it is OHK with surrounded and knockout?)
also i have no idea why i never thought of standing IN the shield when a hunter goes to hop over.
I want to like dunes but Im really not at the point yet of being able to shotgun-confirm i broke the shield-melee someone after confirming he was damaged by dunemarchers yet- then re-engage the first opponent and without that strategy I rarely get kills in 6s with dunes, maybe I push too hard and my team is camping so its for nothing.
oversliding is a good point, doing a full blown slide directly towards an enemy to get literally on top of them when you have a shotgun and a melee that has a 7 meter range is NOT OPTIMAL
I fucking love lightning grenades, throwing them perfectly onto a wall at a narrow angle (wide angle?) so that they go completely perpendicular to you and map opponents horizontally to where they dont even know whats hitting them or how to escape is so satisfying, now that i type this out I need to raise my discipline (another great video of yours by the way)
I’ve been playing titan since the launch of destiny 1 and this is hands down the best guide you can find
Thank you!!
I play PvP extensively on all three classes. I’ve been watching videos like these for years to build on what I already know. I’m a very good player and I need to say that I learned more from this video than I have in a long time. Especially on the jump portion. Fantastic content, I’m here to stay and learn more 🤙
Awesome dude glad to hear it thank you for the feedback.
Ah yes middle tree void and bottom solar are amazing. I’m also planning on doing more for the other characters.
Titan main, one more good tip. When popping fists of havoc the higher you fall the more damage you do, jump as high as you can (when safe) then jump as high as you can from that point THEN pop your super, watch those titan bubble dissappear and everyone inside die when you land. Good video, and il be giving the lightening grenades a try after watching this ;)
This is a fantastic video man. Easiest sub ever. Feel like this and some of your other videos have already helped me improve in PvP. Thanks
So comprehensive, coherent, and polished. Instantly subscribed. Can't wait for more.
Legit the best video I’ve watched all day, I know it’s 9 months old but still an amazing video good work!
Thank you!
my personal favorite exotic is the heart of inmost light because its come in kinda clutch in a solid few fights for me. it also looks pretty sick
You're a natural teacher. Thanks for your efforts. This primer is one of the best, if not, the outright best!
Thanks!
This is now my go to channel...you are doing the lords work my newfound friend...excellent content and professional presentation...great job.
Thank you!
I got unbroken a few days ago and I still remember, the last kill of the comp match that got me unbroken was a kill I got with the lightning Grenade trick you showed while the last opponent was running away. THANK YOU
Yasssss!
Great video bro, huge game changer in my plays now. I went from being a .70 to about a 1.25 and I maintain it now. May not be much to some but it's the world to me. I have you to thank for that, so thanks man. Keep being great.!!!
Wow i did learn something especially the curve of the barricade
I've been playing only Titan since D1 beta, and this is a fantastic guide.
Thanks!
As a Titan main I've been struggling to find consistency in pvp, this helps a lot. I recently went back to bottom tree striker but I didn't really "get" what it did best, and I also need to switch off of pulse grenade. Move some of my res into dis.
Wait how did you get the double tick damage from lightning grenades at 23:45
Even though this vid is old but I am an expert titan and I always used bottom tree striker and used 1st nade for titan and catapult jump. Now I'll try out lightning nade and strafe lift.thx for the tips :). I play on ps4. Have fun :)
You just earned yourself a loyal subscriber. Sincerely, D1 vet who played since alpha and beta ( warlock main )
I liked, subbed, and hit the bell for the intro clips alone. Leeesssss gooooooooo
Found ya on PattyCakes channel. Great content and making me change my hunter ways since D1 to a Titan.
Nice! Patty is great.
Thanks for the kind words man. I appreciate it.
Thank you for doing the grenades
Edit: got my first double kill with this grenade today because of you
its likely well known, but something for titans vs.ing titans-shoulder charge can be heard, if you hear some strange wind effect that is a shoulder charging titan, makes them easy to track no radar needed. and for whatever reason if you put up a barricade it will absorb a tiny bit of shoulder charge damage leaving you alive to punch them, even if you don't kill I think Skull Fort only resets on kills in pvp so depriving them of that is good too.
Niiiice, no problem!
@@CastleContent Cheers mate. Thanks for the reply too.... you got my Sub🙂👌
Thank you so much. You touched on so many things I was confused about and didn't have time to test!
Glad it was helpful!
As a titan main since d1 ever since I used dunmarchers in d2 I think they're one of my most used exotics have some nasty plays with it
I think I’m in the resulting phase, I’m stuck in glory rank 10. I felt like I peaked. I’ll try this build out and your tips!
I play a lot of destiny but never liked the UA-cam side of it really. Never cared for any Destiny youtubers personally but you catch my eye in a refreshing way. Even though I main a Hunter/Warlock and despise the Titan, amazing video and looking forward to new content :)
That means a lot Quinn thank you!
Around 00:40 Joe R was really talking about your shots doe 😂😂
I am a new player to D2, started with Titan, but I was getting dying like hell in crucible. So I created a hunter. But after this video I am going back an put myself in that difficult spot to improve.
Thanks for the lessons
Stasis makes things VERY difficult FYI. It takes a lot of getting used to.
I have been a titan since D1 and this video is still very helpful.
The best video I've seen on this. Very well done!
Thanks Adam!
Flashbang grenade is actually pretty good, it gets rid of the enemies radar which allows your teammates to flank whilst your distracting them.
This video is awesome dude can you one for the other classes too?
Finally someone shining some light on the lightning grenade. I feel like I'm the only one who's used it since d1
Personally I will drop my barricade early to hold lanes sometimes, but that is with citan's on
