I was having such a good time playing strand warlock with the new aspect (not just getting free dunks in rift) because it added that missing piece that the subclass needed. Weavewalk is the key to really making my threadling build work because it enables so much more uptime. On top of that, when my teammates feed and leave me trapped in a 1v3, I actually have a hope of escaping. I really hope they disallow carrying of the spark, capturing zones, etc. while in weavewalk because I honestly didn’t find the aspect to be overpowered in regular gameplay. Strong 100%, but not breaking the game. The super is absolutely terrible and absolutely needs any amount of splash damage in order to not be throwing.
I would’ve put stasis warlock in a tier, it’s so strong being able to freeze people for just pushing you, pair with osiomancy and you have an ultimate freezing machine
Def not a tier b at the highest. Why? The ONLY thing it has going for it is counterplay, there is no movement tech or pushing ability. Hence the low usage.
@@Alckeestasis warlock is insane for 1v3s as u have 3 different ways to freeze ur enemy’s and winters wrath is probably the best roaming super in the game
I'm pretty sure that was a joke because in D1, Hunters and Warlocks had a rivalry, and there's a quote telling Hunters to never admit they learned how to Blink from the Warlocks.
Strand Hunter and blink voidlock has been favorites of mine to play in PvP. The movement from these two subclass is insane with double grapple and astrocyte blink and gives it an addicting playstyle. I main Tracer in Overwatch 2 and blink in Destiny just happened to feel natural to me.
idk if it’s just because i don’t have fragments but strand just feels underwhelming. don’t get me wrong, grapple-diving people is strong and fun, but if my dodge isn’t recharged, i don’t have much to help me. the throwable melee doesn’t really do much imo. not as much as a solar knife or void snare would. it just seems as if grappling in is going to work out 100% and i get massive amounts of kills, or i grapple in and die instantly. there’s really not an in between. again idk how much fragments. change any of this, i haven’t bought any of them or looked at builds for it, but it’s definitely the most fun
"stealing the blink jump from d1 hunters" In d1 theres a mission where cayde literally admits that he taught other hunters how to blink after stealing the ability from warlocks
Great video and interesting choices on the rankings in some aspects espetially the lower cases. I'd argue Strand titan is better than solar. While I agree Solar titan has multiple exotics that enhance it specifically, but path of the burning steps is where i think you're definetely wrong. For PvP it just got a plain out nerf and is nowhere near worth running.
I was thinking the same thing about Strand Titan. It's not that great at being used in a highly aggressive play style. However, I personally use it a lot and find that it's great at playing more passive, holding ground, and repositioning quickly to catch opponents off guard. Letting the more aggressive viable subclasses disrupt while I get a good angle to help them out.
The steps mention was satire but seeing now that it was terribly executed lol; I do think strand will overcome solar (once other exotics become available for it)
Stasis warlock I could see being in a tier, it’s such a strong class to just control the pace of a game and is the hard counter to all of the S tier subclasses. I also really wish strand warlock was better, kinda sucks that it’s so low
Stasis lock hard counters strikers and sentinels, but is hard, hard, HARD countered by dawnblade in high level matches. Your entire subclass revolves around forcing depushes and jumps, so the subclass that can repush with Icarus instantly or simply fight in the air well with Heat Rises isn't affected by what you're doing. Your only hope is to force a jump and pre-throw another coldsnap to catch them landing, but they'd be so far that punishing the freeze is nearly impossible.
Secant filaments are also a very good option for voidwalker. Devour on demand and a free damage boost. Plus the fact that if gives your weapons overload rounds (which in crucible disables health regen)
Arc Hunter main since D1. I've always loved the adaptability of the Subclass, personally. It's got good movement, good melees, and good survivability if you manage your dodges. All paired together, you feel like a dancer in the midst of a storm. I'm really excited to utilize the new Super and the new Aspect, especially in PvP. The Aspect will allow Hunters to instantly Amplify themselves and their allies, which imo will make Arc Hunter feel even better. With Sixth Coyote and Flow State, you'll have a nigh-100% uptime on Amplified, making you much harder to kill with the Resist on Dodge(which you will always have). The Super looks really cool, but i'm mostly excited for that Aspect lol. In short: Fair rating on Arc Hunter. I know this opinion comes from better players than myself, but I do feel that Arc Hunter can be a bit underrated. If you understand the strength in it's movement, you'll slay a lobby. I've pulled off countless 1v3s in trials with it.
Was looking for someone talking about arc hunter 😅 Been maining hunter for the first time ever this season. Arcstrider is fun as hell in PVE, but hard to justify playing over pretty much any other hunter subclass. Any exotics you recommend? Blink or no? Gathering storm or staff? Fragments? Stat distribution?
@@Willy-ey3xs blink if you know how to use it but safer to stick with normal jumps. Gathering storm for shorter cd. Fragments wise usually 1) getting melee makes your melee do more dmg 2) grenades regen faster while critically wounded 3)resistance when surrounded (can swap this out) 4)grenades jolt (i run arcbolt)
Stasis warlock is genuinely one of if not the most frustrating subclass I've ever fought against, they have so much tools to just... say "Fck you" to absolutely anyone within medium to close range and then insta-kill you with no effort at all. Bungie literally handed them every tool necessary to go up to you and say "sorry pal but you cant play the game no more"
@@ty__fleekito1455Well hard counters Stasis. It's impossible to freeze a well user or anyone in a well when using Stasis abilities. The only way to freeze someone in a Well is Conditional Finality.
9:22 Voidwalker Warlocks have always been able to Blink, sir. We blinked first, Hunters' Arc Blink in lore is said to be the hunter's replication of Void Blink. Therefore, Hunters stole our blink.
Personally disagree with strand warlock, I think it does have a high skill ceiling though. There’s so much to the kit and has movement options if you want/need, but it’s biggest seller is the threadlings
Every Strand class has a high skill floor and skill ceiling. It takes a good player to make Strand competitive with other classes and an even better player to make it rise above. Just look at SayWallahBruh's Strand gameplay for an example. Broodweaver has a lot of unique things it can do too, which are one shot Grapple melees, Suspend on Tangles and Threadlings which rewards skilled, aggressive players. It also has Weavewalk.
From an objective point of view, Strand Hunter just does it better than Strand Warlock. That's why its so low on the list. The melees and Super are very unreliable, Threadlings are only slightly more reliable but also predictable, and if you really want to grapple, again, Strand Hunter does it so much better. All that Broodweaver has now is Weavewalk, which I think could elevate it to D tier or C tier, but the class is very one-trick with the necessary focus on Threadlings.
While i respect your opinion. Strand hunter is adleast A+ or S. The amount of times ive danced circles around every other subclass becuase i have the ability to have 2 grapples that can deliver a power melee and i have a decoy that can be used to bait aping titans. The amount of utility with strand hunter is crazy. High ceiling with a decent starting floor, throw a wave frame gl on and you can get triple kills and double kills easily with your knife. The only problem with the class is the super, however if you play smart and utilize sneaking up on people with it inetead of charging right in its amazing. THE ONLY thing that could hold this class back from S tier in trials is having a shorter instant cast super, which i have a funny feeling new supers for strand are coming next season.
@@Vyper- not on destiny 2 rn but I'm sure there's a few great videos. Strand hunter got me the iridescent emblem for the first time using it in trials. Really easy to learn. Big tip tho is make sure you utilize the extra handling you get from grapple. Strand hunter shines best when using your special weapon and your primary in synergy. I'd also suggest using worm husk (ya I know say what you want) but the fact you can dodge, get a decoy, and get health back is sooo VITIAL in 1v1s and 1v2s you can grapple into a group of enemy's throw down a GL or shotgun then powered melee, dodge (spawn decoy which explodes + HP gain), throw your knife and then clean up with your primary, I've killed so many 3s like that.
Putting it S is delusion. It has one of the worst supers in the game, so It cant be S tier. It is A- or A if the melee actually hits. You know the super is ass if even Wallah struggles with it.
Arc Hunter is C tier. Run Sixth Coyote & blink together. I find the extra dodge helps with mobility between blinks. Disorienting Blow & flashbang grenade with spark of shock to keep amplified up. Amplified blink covers some crazy distance.
I guess I'm weird with my Strand Hunter because I play it defensively with Bombardier's + Threaded Specter and it's probably my single most useful build for shutting down how aggressive most of the Destiny playerbase tends to be. It certainly feels better than simply "B-Tier" to me, though I guess the build itself is somewhat anti-meta so maybe B-Tier is where it belongs.
I'd argue that stasis warlock is the strongest stasis subclass, like, it massively overshadows stasis hunter, and I main stasis hunter, stasis warlocks can be as offensive as they want or as defensive as they want, and they will never be punished for it 9 times out of 10, even if they make a mistake, compare that to some heavily nerfed dr and cc on stasis hunter? yeah no stasis lock wins that matchup every time
I think what needs to be taken account for in this list is also the ease of use of subclasses, sure you can go ahead and say void titan is one of the strongest subclasses for its bubble, but it's not like you're gonna have an easy neutral game on void titan like you are for arc titan, especially after the barricade nerfs and as for solar warlock, while yes I'd say this is the strongest subclass in the game especially for the fact that it can render stasis completely useless with well, you're not exactly gonna see someone in the lower ranks of pvp who's mastered the solar warlock movement, and without the movement down, your neutral game would consider you a sitting duck to your opponents
Thank you at least somebody knows what they are talking about PvP is a bubble and well simulator and that’s why they put those classes in S tier 😂which is laughable because those classes take no skill imo resto and oversheild barricades
I feel like Warlock Stasis is really good but everything takes a lot longer to get back once used. Not many exotic armor or weapons to pair like Solar and void That are likewise easy to obtain. On top of that Stasis never gets season artifacts. It needs more synergy other than stupid crystals. And my last complaint is that Coldsnap grenades sometimes whiff. Busted, yes but sometimes it doesn't work, just ignores nearby enemies.
I feel like this tier list does make sense besides one exception, Strand Titan. Since I main strand titan, I know that the fun factor and overall neutral game on the berserker is incredibly fun. I would give it at least another go. Great vid btw!
This is why I main dawn blade. He also mentioned the exact same build that I use lol. The movement with burst glide and the Icarus dash is crazy. You can make it even quicker If you have transversive on but honestly I just run ophidian aspect because I want everything to feel quicker. Plus it gives celestial fire which is an insane melee for finishing people off more range. Being able to dash every 4 seconds is just such a strong ability. I don't really ever use heat rises but maybe I should. And especially while using the super it's so hard to counter since your movement is so good you can just fly around the map and just spawn kill enemies and they can't do anything about it. Plus with having options like healing grenade fusion grenade or solar grenade and having Phoenix dive is another option is just fantastic. Kind of surprised to see no Hunter classes make S tier tho
Love you man but as a shameless warlock main in PvP, you did the warlocks dirty. Stasis and Void are both easy As unless you're counting ease of use against them because they do take a little bit to learn (especially using blink) but Stasis is a 1v3 machine in Trials and Void might be the most well rounded kit warlock has in terms of being able to play both passively and aggressively.
I believe the hunter with suppression grenade and the double smoke is a good control the field of battle, why I say this is if someone has there super and and you have your suppression grenade you can take there super from them and the two smokes you can save one and use one as a get out of jail free card and the deadfall super will also take there abilities and make them weak to the same elemental damage of your subclass it's a lot of fun. You can also use the Gemini jesters with it and really cause them to panic. Lmao.
Stasis lock in b tier feels bad. I've put so much time and effort into that class, I felt like it was much better. Maybe I'm just stuck on sunk cost fallacy. Thanks for the s tier content, Castle.
You’re not the only one, I also main it and feel that it deserves a higher rating. it’s so good at locking down the battlefield and countering all the meta subclasses
You guys aren’t alone I main shadebinder and it deserves more than just a simple b-tier it’s literally the best warlock super and I say that over well and I main dawnblade for years the mit is awesome and you can shut down all the bs in PvP with this class it’s biased
I think that in this review they consider 3 main categories: Maximum Potential, Punishment for Suboptimal Play, and how it Scales with Enemy Skill. Alot of Warlock subclasses have great Max Potential when mastered, but are very punishing when you whiff, and are otherwise very predictable by skilled opponents. As lifetime Warlock main who plays pretty much no other classes in PvP, I agree with their assessment. Even Shadebinder. Terrifyingly strong kit that can be oppressive when mastered, but it has very painful punishments for whiffing your abilities. Its defensive-oriented with little potential for safe aggression, which makes them predictable by more skilled opponents. Very high skill ceiling, but very punishing and easily countered by more skilled players who will bait your cooldowns or just not enter your territory and invalidate you.
@ShaoShaoMienshao thanks for your explanation. I never got the hang of heat rises, so I went with shadebinder instead. You think I should go back and just practice until I get good on solar?
An alright video but one thing that just isn’t right is the claim that Warlocks “stole Blink from D1 Hunters” In the lore, Hunters learned Blink from Warlocks, and Warlocks also get their Blink jump first in D1 due to having it on their first subclass, Voidwalker, while Hunters had to get to Level 15 to get it on Arcstrider
Behemoth is still pretty strong with Collective Action. I know it got nerfed down to 10%, but you can still get up to a 16% damage buff for every engagement with surge mods, which makes certain archetypes shred. The new crucible smg goes hard with this combo
Dude you want to use Cryo 77k as a behemoth. S tier when it literally can generate multiple freeze availability’s by getting kills which then can generate more freeze effects. It can break bubble and block supers with the nades.
It's been a month so not sure of the timeline but Strand Warlocks definitely have play since the Weavewalk aspect dropped. It's high DR and easy threadling generation means I never have an encounter without 5 threadlings on me. Combined with Weaver's Call, I can start most engagements by sending my army around the corner before I even peek. Swarmers are the perfect exotic but also the only choice. Threadlings are the only real play so I still wouldn't put Broodweaver any higher than C-tier but I think F-Tier is a little too low
as a hunter im not arguing about our ranking. I definitely agree that solar warlock and bubble titan are the best no doubt, but i think hunter increases the fun factor which is why i use hunter
Idk even if strand super isn't the best for hunter, I still think suspend alone carries it to at least A tier. It's the only hunter subclass that I've used to successfully counter striker.
Arc warlock was Stier before arc 3.0 our storm grenade with arc web was the strongest and most fun thing in the game especially paired with crown for high up time
Having always gravitated towards the lower picked options, I can confidently say that Strand Titan is well above Stasis Titan and Solar Titan. The skill required to make Strand Titan work is a lot higher than Arc or Void Titan IMO( Which I used to main before it became too strong), but once you understand how Strand Titan works and how to use the enemies choices against them, then it is easily a high B or A tier subclass. Now I won't say it is better than Arc or Void Titan because they are just flat out easier and more lethal, but Strand Titan definetly isn't F.
Stasis titan is def better than strand as the sole behemoth player. The cryoclasm movement and melee movement are much smoother compared to strand titan
@@sandburgbilly381behemoth main here, I also think it’s above berserker for pvp viability. It’s got fantastic movement in cryoclasm and shiver strike, and people still underestimate the super even after the huge speed buff it got last season. People also don’t know about the double tap melee you can do with shiver strike which deletes anyone that isn’t holding a shotgun. Diamond lance is also a good aspect to run if you’ve got conditional finality which gives you a diamond lance when you take down a foe with the stasis spread, which turns into a free kill on the next person you see.
Respectfully... There is no way in hell that you have solar hunter over stasis warlock. The hunter abilities are good, but nowhere near the warlocks. They are S tier in my opinion(I would be fine if you pput them in A) but they jst aren't a b-tier subclass. I would also bump up strand hunter due to it having the best movement in the game plus a better shatterdive, and bring void titan down due to conditional finality dominating bubbles. Let me know your guys' thoughts
Solar titan really needs Restoration from sunspots swapped to Radiant, and loreley should give resto x1 to them. That paired with the now inevitable (and deserved) 4th aspect for all light subclasses would give them a fighting chance, and make them feel like they used to, a true force of destruction. edit: and I still miss the bottom tree arcstrider power fantasy. despite loving blink. Honestly I just feel like I want a mix of d1 bladedancer and 2.0 bottom tree arcstrider as my arc hunter. Final shape should help me a lot, but still. Edit2: and funny thing. Ever since witch queen, Warlocks have been getting all of my favorite new additions and Hunters have had my favorite things pulled away. I liked running foetracer + bottom tree arc in pvp, I loved building into the shurikens of stasis hunter for pvp and pve (back when it was broken - I never even ran shatterdive) with mask of bakris, Necrotic Grips are my favorite exotic (I appreciate the sentiment of mothkeepers - but I'm looking for poison on the assassin class (in addition to weapon build synergy), not support and crowd control (which feels like a warlock thing) that only synergizes with one new weapon and nothing else), I like stasis warlock quite a bit for pvp, I love building into unravel on strand and pairing that with DoT effects (hunters can do a variant of that now with maelstrom/osteo, but it's not the same)... yeah.
Stasis titan can be hard to get used to and etc now but I would say it reaches B tier if it’s used by someone that knows how to play it’s different kits, it also depends on your kit cus it has a different set of kits Kits: Defensive(hoartfrost, harvest and howl) Aggressive(which is the one I personally use cryoclasm, Harvest with any exotic you want to use although I highly like using no backup plans for the passive AEF that it gives to shotties) And the last kit is a freezing kit with Diamond lances Now as a person who’s been using an aggressive kit for about like a year now almost I will say that DONT UNDERESTIMATE a stasis behemoth even through it is the worse stasis subclass, I’ve gone flawless 4 times with it this year as a whole throughout the seasons and it’s fun to use, hopefully they buff it or rework it a lil soon next season specially the super which feels underwhelming and it underperforms sometimes
I agree with most of this, other than stasis hunter. I play controller, have sherpad several hundred people thru trials and average 1.6 or so for context. While the super can be alright except for facing well, dawn, some bubble/banner titans, arcstrider block, anteus, campers, void blink locks and anyone with adecent bait the bait ability it has a majority of ways to be countered.. along with in my eyes the worst melee in the entire game aftr nerf on controller, burning my dodge only gives 6% damage bonus, and grenades that dont do very much with out a very large amount of practice, planning an exotic and aspect and the only easy factor (shatterdiving) nerfed, i think that it was over categorized here at least in my experience. Ive seen mnk precision aspect make the melees work, but void is a better dive ability imo
@@deadream_3268 it just dawned on me, I should have probably looked up... your youtube and subscribed for the best fire fisting you will be able to watch on this site at least...
@deadream_3268 ps have you seen the reviving of the radiance class from d1, into to d2!? That is the last puzzle piece for realz. With goldy/maybe 3 void hunter super? also only having 2 supers I may yet have a new setup to crutch as "well"....
Personally, I like to judge how good is class from trials report. Behemoth, Sunbreaker and Berserker has the lowest pickrate across all subcalsses in the game, with a whopping 0,06% behemoth last weekend. Honestly, I would put them all in F tier, because their kits are just not suited for crucible. Full behemoth stack can be good, but facing against them is a once in a blue moon event.
bro Behemoth is a B tier at trust me. You don't need more behemoths when you can just run hoarfrost, have the movement and max overshield cycling. It struggles because using the other grenades feels awful on behemoth due to any lack of grenade upgrades for stasis titan. Coldsnaps are really strong if your ping is low against your opponents. sliding into someone is really goddamn fun.
When it comes to solar warlock, the movement tech is drastically different on console or lower frames, too the point it arguably moves the class lower on the tier list and should be mentioned.
Pretty much, yeah. The insane movement that the class can achieve is only really possible on PC thanks to the mouse input. To get that same level of flick-turning on Console, you have to crank sensitivity so high that it destroys your ability to use weapons at all.
I disagree with Stasis Titan. The fact that it requires you to be in a group of 3 just for it to still be in C tier speaks on how mediocre the class truly is. It has terrible solo play outside of the slide and incredibly wonky melee. And the super…just flat out terrible.
What did Warlocks do to you to put ALL but 1 one of them below A tier? All the light subclasses are like ol’ reliable, giving support to teammates and the aspects are either game breaking or infuriating to fight against, as previously shown, the arc slide explosion thingy.
I think that in this review they consider 3 main categories: Maximum Potential, Punishment for Suboptimal Play, and how it Scales with Enemy Skill. No one can convince me that solar Titan isn't the worst. In the game, you can literally go a whole trials game without any of your aspects or fragments procking. I have gone multiple games. Where i never made a single sunspot. Or I never got a single solar agility kill where roaring flames would be procked. Lastly games go by so fast I didn't even get my super...tier 7 intellect, by the way. 😂
I always wondered what is the best exotic armor option for Sunbreaker? It know, it is not really competitive subclass, but it is fun to play, so I want to maximize its performance.
@@Crackjunkie95 How does it feel after a buff? Honestly, I want it to be more like sun warrior used to be, while yo have buff, weapon kills produce sunspots
People play stasis warlock all kinds of wrong in pvp. It's an area lockdown class and severely punishes players attempting to aggro you and/or aggro an area. I see so many people waste their grenades while everyone just jumps. It's an "ohhhh you really think you can just do that to me" class. Unless you're an arc/anteus titan, in that case you're playing against an arc and stasis titan at the same time
I feel like I get a lot of value out of the strand decoys, especially on Endless Vale. The super though... Haven't tried it since the buff but it has to be the least intimidating in the game.
Hunter Strand Super is like, a roaming super with the DR of a one-shot. It doesn't help that it has hit registration issues on top of elevation messing with its hit angle, and most of Strand's mobility comes from being able to use the grapple-melee which is something you lose while in Silkstrike. It's the worst thing about the class, by far.
Warlocks didn't steal Blink from D1 Hunters. D1 Hunters stole Blink from D1 Warlocks. You get Blink as your default jump straight out of the tutorial as a warlock in D1.
I think you’re heavily sleeping on arc hunter, melee shenanigans on par with arc titan, amplified, great 3v3 and 6v6 supers, and some of the absolute best synergies with top tier neutral PvP exotics like dragons shadow and stompees.
Awesome video man I still like stasis hunter but I use the glacier grenade and shatterdive combo with touch of winter and whisper of fissures. It’s not as strong as it used to be but I still like it because you can use it to both be aggressive and counter aggressive players. I need to try some more different builds though and I need to start playing warlock and titan in pvp again
I will not stand for this. "Stealing the blink jump from d1 hunters." There was no stealing. The warlocks taught the hunters how to blink. Great video, though (I'm sure there are still rivals from the days of old on this point).
Hunter strand. I took off grapple. Went with threadlings. Better players I got shot with grapple. Theeadlings let you be more tactical. Throw then follow up. Handy against DR
Id say strand is above solar in titans case and behemoth after the nerfs could be honestly knocked down to D tier even in a stack Behemoth needs 3 players to achieve what 1 sentinel titan can do.
Arc staff is a joke at the moment - Anteaus Wards does blocking better and any game there's an arc staff there's a 90% chance the hunter will just be "Misadventured" during their super.

The steps mention was satire but seeing now that it was terribly executed lol; I do think strand will overcome solar (once other exotics become available for it)
8:32 the water effects made it look so sick lmao
I never would've thought of FIlaments with void. I gotta try that. How do they make overload rounds?
Was looking for someone talking about arc hunter 😅
Been maining hunter for the first time ever this season.
Bungie literally handed them every tool necessary to go up to you and say "sorry pal but you cant play the game no more"
And I love it because of all the bs that be going on in PvP sometimes it’s a hard counter to the meta slaves unable and well users in particular
You just gave me a massive boost in confidence saying Berserker is F tier when I main it and do very well with it.
While the strand titan doesn’t quite fit the Spider-Man fantasy, it does fit the ape flying through the jungle fantasy
Personally disagree with strand warlock, I think it does have a high skill ceiling though. There’s so much to the kit and has movement options if you want/need, but it’s biggest seller is the threadlings
Yeah strand warlock is underrated by almost everyone except TV. It’s definitely not f tier
Can you share your pvp build for strand hunter. Aspects and fragments? Struggling with mine.
@@jormungandr4690 I literally mentioned that in the post. If you took the time to read. I stand by strand being a+.
@@JGburneraccount And that is why A+ is objective wrong , you donut. When when you get over 1 KD and out of gold in comp you will find out.
Exactly how I use it. Otherwise I'm forced to use a shotgun to stop all the shoulder charging/knockout equipped Titans.
Behemoth is lower then C now. Playing in numbers is no longer viable. Behemoth only has good movement
I'd argue that stasis warlock is the strongest stasis subclass, like, it massively overshadows stasis hunter, and I main stasis hunter, stasis warlocks can be as offensive as they want or as defensive as they want, and they will never be punished for it 9 times out of 10, even if they make a mistake, compare that to some heavily nerfed dr and cc on stasis hunter? yeah no stasis lock wins that matchup every time
I think what needs to be taken account for in this list is also the ease of use of subclasses, sure you can go ahead and say void titan is one of the strongest subclasses for its bubble, but it's not like you're gonna have an easy neutral game on void titan like you are for arc titan, especially after the barricade nerfs
and as for solar warlock, while yes I'd say this is the strongest subclass in the game especially for the fact that it can render stasis completely useless with well, you're not exactly gonna see someone in the lower ranks of pvp who's mastered the solar warlock movement, and without the movement down, your neutral game would consider you a sitting duck to your opponents
I think strand warlock is HEAVILY underutilized. Overshadowed by thread runner but not as low as you put it. Not by any means a top tier tho.
As a sun breaker titan…it’s been rough in PvP the past season or two.
Agreed
Wow that transition at 3:42 is just… *chef’s kiss*
The floating lad himself, Castle and Dffizzle? Sign me tf up.
An alright video but one thing that just isn’t right is the claim that Warlocks “stole Blink from D1 Hunters”
In the lore, Hunters learned Blink from Warlocks, and Warlocks also get their Blink jump first in D1 due to having it on their first subclass, Voidwalker, while Hunters had to get to Level 15 to get it on Arcstrider
Very well done video. I like how there's a "loading" bar circling around the subclass icon as you describe them.
It can break bubble and block supers with the nades.
use whisper of hunger and Cadmus ridge lance hidden meta@@TBONES
I thi k behemoth is a super pvp subclass but, you have to be good with it
9:28 holding down W doesn’t give you the (w?) win all by itself.
Every time a strand warlock supers in my direction I’ve ALWAYS get tagged so I wouldn’t say it “wiffes”
3:39 THAT TRANSITION THOOO 🔥
i deadass looked for this yesterday, thank you!
Ever since the changes to Solar Warlock, I’ve been running Stormcaller and haven’t looked back
What changes specifically? And when
3:40 hella smooth transition
Solar Titan is so slept on
as a hunter im not arguing about our ranking.
@@sandburgbilly381 I would still disagree. I feel like I have more answers with Strand than I do with Stasis
Picking Arc or Void Titan is like playing PVP on easy mode.
@@swarlly 100% agree. I don't blame low-skill / new players using them but it's when the already good players abuse them that it becomes unfair
9:20 Did you just say "stealing the Blink Jump from Destiny 1 Hunters"? Thats *our* move 😂, Warlocks taught Hunters how to do that lmfaooo
Oii, warlocks had blink in d1 they ain’t steal it, and lore implies that warlocks taught hunters how 2. Blink
As a warlock main since day 1, that hurt me
i like my stasis subclass
Even when it did have 90 hyper armor on it
I couldn't tell the difference
If it had it or not
9:17 as a Warlock who taught hunters how to blink, excuse me, what? Lol
This man all types of wrong lmfaooooo 😂 I can’t believe he said that either
Amazing bro this is actually proper helpful couldn't ask for more!
Transitions go crazy
Respectfully...
There is no way in hell that you have solar hunter over stasis warlock. The hunter abilities are good, but nowhere near the warlocks. They are S tier in my opinion(I would be fine if you pput them in A) but they jst aren't a b-tier subclass. I would also bump up strand hunter due to it having the best movement in the game plus a better shatterdive, and bring void titan down due to conditional finality dominating bubbles. Let me know your guys' thoughts
Me starting the video: this is amazing: Castle immediately calling my favorite Titan subclass to use in The Crucible F tier:bruh💀
I am a Strand Titan Main and I do well for the most part. The flechette storm can do a ton of damage.
I would actually put strand warlock higher on the tiers . I say put it in a,b, or c tier due to how good the super and threadlings are
Putting strand warlock f teir when weavewalker exist is criminal
I liked running foetracer + bottom tree arc in pvp, I loved building into the shurikens of stasis hunter for pvp and pve (back when it was broken - I never even ran shatterdive) with mask of bakris, Necrotic Grips are my favorite exotic (I appreciate the sentiment of mothkeepers - but I'm looking for poison on the assassin class (in addition to weapon build synergy), not support and crowd control (which feels like a warlock thing) that only synergizes with one new weapon and nothing else), I like stasis warlock quite a bit for pvp, I love building into unravel on strand and pairing that with DoT effects (hunters can do a variant of that now with maelstrom/osteo, but it's not the same)... yeah.
bro the blink transition at 3:42 is so fuckin insane i thought the map you were playing on was fucked up
Stasis titan can be hard to get used to and etc now but I would say it reaches B tier if it’s used by someone that knows how to play it’s different kits, it also depends on your kit cus it has a different set of kits
Kits:
Defensive(hoartfrost, harvest and howl)
Aggressive(which is the one I personally use cryoclasm, Harvest with any exotic you want to use although I highly like using no backup plans for the passive AEF that it gives to shotties)
And the last kit is a freezing kit with Diamond lances
Now as a person who’s been using an aggressive kit for about like a year now almost I will say that DONT UNDERESTIMATE a stasis behemoth even through it is the worse stasis subclass, I’ve gone flawless 4 times with it this year as a whole throughout the seasons and it’s fun to use, hopefully they buff it or rework it a lil soon next season specially the super which feels underwhelming and it underperforms sometimes
This gerbs guy right here seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I don't know why, but I just trust him. 😁
Deadream plays with his toes
Actually, Warlocks discovered blink and taught Hunters how to do it 😂
Personally, I like to judge how good is class from trials report.
The only thing good with solar titan is how easy it is to take down a bubble (both receiving and unsung end of it)
bro Behemoth is a B tier at trust me.
THIS dude I’m on console this class is overrated for controller I’d rather play voidwalker
Pretty much, yeah. The insane movement that the class can achieve is only really possible on PC thanks to the mouse input. To get that same level of flick-turning on Console, you have to crank sensitivity so high that it destroys your ability to use weapons at all.
As someone that moved from damn near 10 years on console and is now on PC, I agree with this.
Solar warlock is good, but overrated on console.
Terrifyingly strong kit, painful punishments for whiffing, defensive-oriented with little potential for aggression, which makes them predictable by more skilled opponents.
Yeah this seems like objectively correct playlist. I would only put stand Hunter in A tier, because of how good the spike is when it hits the target.
As a Solar Titan main in PvP, I agree with the subclass being butt in PvP
No one can convince me that solar Titan isn't the worst. In the game, you can literally go a whole trials game without any of your aspects or fragments procking.
I have gone multiple games. Where i never made a single sunspot. Or I never got a single solar agility kill where roaring flames would be procked. Lastly games go by so fast I didn't even get my super...tier 7 intellect, by the way. 😂
The only aspect that worked for me was Consecration, it worked... sometimes. But when it works it can wipe the whole team. Or you miss and die.
I always wondered what is the best exotic armor option for Sunbreaker? It know, it is not really competitive subclass, but it is fun to play, so I want to maximize its performance.
This definitely isn’t the best but I run hallowfire for max uptime on my abilities since in comp and trials I’m sitting on my supers for a while.
@@Crackjunkie95 How does it feel after a buff? Honestly, I want it to be more like sun warrior used to be, while yo have buff, weapon kills produce sunspots
Pyrogales consecration is absolutely disgusting. Ignites people every time
People play stasis warlock all kinds of wrong in pvp. It's an area lockdown class and severely punishes players attempting to aggro you and/or aggro an area. I see so many people waste their grenades while everyone just jumps. It's an "ohhhh you really think you can just do that to me" class. Unless you're an arc/anteus titan, in that case you're playing against an arc and stasis titan at the same time
Void Warlock was the starting subclass in D1, and Solar Hunter was the starting subclass in D1. Hunters stole Blink from Warlocks.
Strand Titan/Warlock: Grenades suck! F tier!
Strand Hunter: Two Grapple grenades! B tier, but some would even say A tier!
You can’t say warlocks stole blink when we started D1 with it as well
I feel like I get a lot of value out of the strand decoys, especially on Endless Vale.
Hearing bro talk about Arc Warlock sounds like a salty Hunter who got killed too many times by the arc slide.
Warlocks didn't steal Blink from D1 Hunters. D1 Hunters stole Blink from D1 Warlocks. You get Blink as your default jump straight out of the tutorial as a warlock in D1.
I think you’re heavily sleeping on arc hunter, melee shenanigans on par with arc titan, amplified, great 3v3 and 6v6 supers, and some of the absolute best synergies with top tier neutral PvP exotics like dragons shadow and stompees.
strand titan belongs in high b tier if not a tier, that subclass is terrifying and gets me too many flawlesses
Instead of Arc Titan, I would’ve went with Arc Hunter. Star Eater Scales combined with Anarchy on Gathering Storm puts out a ridiculous amount of DPS.
This is a PvP video, not PvE
Awesome video man I still like stasis hunter but I use the glacier grenade and shatterdive combo with touch of winter and whisper of fissures. It’s not as strong as it used to be but I still like it because you can use it to both be aggressive and counter aggressive players. I need to try some more different builds though and I need to start playing warlock and titan in pvp again
Arc hunter in d is crazy especially if arc warlock and stasis Titan are above it
Beast tier list 😎 well thought out and informative.
I will not stand for this. "Stealing the blink jump from d1 hunters." There was no stealing. The warlocks taught the hunters how to blink. Great video, though (I'm sure there are still rivals from the days of old on this point).
9:17 cries in lore.
Hunter strand. I took off grapple. Went with threadlings. Better players I got shot with grapple. Theeadlings let you be more tactical. Throw then follow up. Handy against DR
3:39 love that
Id say strand is above solar in titans case and behemoth after the nerfs could be honestly knocked down to D tier even in a stack Behemoth needs 3 players to achieve what 1 sentinel titan can do.
great content, as always
Your audio is so good
Arc staff is a joke at the moment - Anteaus Wards does blocking better and any game there's an arc staff there's a 90% chance the hunter will just be "Misadventured" during their super.
Titan Strand, F tier. I can cancel every super with super at range. And with the exotic to trow barriers, u get an extra suspend nade. So personally, i would rank it a bit up.
Titans have two of the best and three of the worst
I wonder what this will look like after the final shape 💭
Correction there Castle: It was the other way around. In Destiny 1, the lore states that Void Warlocks taught the Arc Hunters how to Blink 😅
Also they both had blink upon d1’s launch so idk where he’s even getting that from
Arc hunter is so slept on
invis shotguner or invis snipers are very good since they cant see you when u invis when u try to shotgun someone and being invis clears a of the screen for snipers
