what its actually like: everything is just comedic and stupid
its actually intense if u watch the whole streams

But Tommy’s vid “The End of Our Nation on Dream SMP” or something like that is actually intense
Even the non animatic scenes are intense but most of it is funny and goofy.
The main thing about the animatic is like the body movements make it look a lot more serious. and the music. and the perfect cuts.
Imagine poor Sadist trying to go through every moment to find the right audios

God SAD-IST is just an absolute chad when it comes to animations/animatics and the way they can make this stuff seem like an actual movie trailer is just stunning. Not to mention how dramatic the actual SMP is itself. Like damn they really out here making a better plot and story via Minecraft than any movie I've seen

Techno might not really be one for the roleplay aspect of the Dream SMP but god the delivery on those lines "The only universal language is violence and we've had that conversation. We've spoken that language. In the pit." a fucking masterpiece
The last part isnt a clip, its a reference to Techno's bloodspilling plan, accompanied by his evil laughter after he told Tommy about the universal language.
Isn't that just referencing the clip of him killing everyone at the festival? Not the same voice over of course, but that's what it looks like

The actual scenes are very anti climatic
Honestly, if you watch it live you definitely feel the tension when it builds up to those moments. But yeah, it does feel kind of anti climatic without the build up from watching the animatic compared to those scenes in Minecraft

Some one make a movie about this already! This would be the perfect project. A movie for all in UA-cam. All the smp members get together with SAD-ist and make a movie. A movie that will be written down on UA-cam's history. Like this and spread the word to all the smp members. Show SAD-ist that we would do anything for this movie. Let's show the world history. Spread the word
you have no idea how much time/money this will take, it needs a well-planned investment but i can almost guarantee that it will make tons of money
animation takes super long and is really hard, it’d also take a lot of money
@@oopsie1157 I know it would take months or even a year. And of course the money problem. Everyone in the smp can make a stream, and use the money from that stream for the movie. If the fans want a movie will they should contribute. They use the money too pay animators a whole team working on this.
Plus this is just a idea. It's up SAD-ist and the smp gang if they really want a movie. I am just trying to hype up the fans. But who knows maybe this idea wouldn't die

The problem I see is that this story really only works in Minecraft. You can't singlehandedly build a whole city in real life. The core arc would have to be changed for it to work outside of the context of the game.

This is what's so great about the Dream SMP, the streams aren't usually that climactic (with the exception of the Battle of the Lake/Tower and what transpired before) but the animatics that people make are top notch!
