Awesome Vlog as usual. It would take some time to wean the baby from the mamas. I think you said the Windy is a special case and she will take a little bit longer. I learn new things all the time. Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all. ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
Hahaha, might have to rename her Willful Windy! She's determined! Loved the up-potting tips and tricks. Was totally smiling a lot watching you and your children chase Winnie and Cole on day 1. So happy Day 2 is such a huge improvement, really hope she turns into a sweet and tame goat. Tori needs to share some of what she has with Winnie, hahahaha. 💚💚💚
Yeah sometimes bottle babies get annoying and they get in the way! They are super friendly but it can go overboard at times!! I really like the hybrid personality you can get from dam raising with intentionally making them friendly either by handling or supplementing with bottles. Breezy was never fed a bottle but she is so approachable and lovely. She never jumps on me or is underfoot. She is exactly what I named her (so far!): Easy Breezy ♥
She reminds me of that stubborn buck that I had to leave with dad for a few days 😂 dad showed him he wasn’t the king of the jungle! Tamed right down, but NEVER took the bottle 😊
You've heard the saying "stubborn old goat"? Winnie was putting that statement to the test.😂 However, the tasty milk usually seals the deal.😉 Cole is a sweetheart and I'm sure their family will love him immediately!! The garden starts are looking great!!! I'm so ready for the cold snaps to be gone!!! Thanks for a great video and stay safe!🙏❤
I need to haul in seedlings from the greenhouse tonight! Getting close to freezing and we are in a low spot so I want the tender things out of there! So close to our last frost!!
I put my tomatoes in larger pots last week. I believe we are in the same zone or close to it. I look forward to following along with your garden this year. I am in zone 8b.
This was great…gotta love willful Winnie! Just food for thought. Some things I learned along time ago from a flower gardener regarding Zinnias. Direct sow, only after pour soil is warm, cover seeds with cotton sheet, burlap, etc until third set of leaves and keep moist. Remove covering, pinch off third set of leaves. At this point let dry out between watering. Don’t overwater and they don’t like high nitrogen so I normally don’t fertilize. I usually resow every month. Also when cutting blooms, do wiggle test about 6” down, if flower doesn’t flop around I cut. It lasts along time in vase with water changed regularly. 🤍
She tossed that coat without missing a beat lol. I just really love the baby content. They are just the cutest things and it warms my heart. Glad to see Winnie coming around lol.
Haha...I love the whole jacket off part. That girl shed that coat like an expert, didn't even stop and blink. Oh, those run away goats are so hard to catch. I have some. Ugh. Today we try for bottle baby Apple Jack. Take two!
hey hey. Sorry I haven't been about for a while, I had some serious health/family issues here, so took a step back, but I'm starting to play catch up. I just wanted to let you know that the tomato seeds you sent me are geminating, and I'm just so excited for them! I also put Calamity on my seed tin ❤🍅🐐
Your baby goats ( kids) are so darn cute !! It's so go you had your helper there when they escaped and took off running. They are quick !! Today is my birthday and it made my day seeing your video today. It's been chilly up here in R.I. but today the sun is shinning and it's beautiful outside i took my pup outside for a nice walk the hotel we been staying at since December has alot of woods on the left side of the parken lot we love to walk threw and there are tons of wild bunnys and we see them mostly at night and my pup will stop and sit there and just watch them it's funny she wants a friend so bad so she will cry and they take off running once they hear her. When we have the tv on and she sees the aspca commercials on she will pick up one of her toys and cry and she trys to give the other dogs on tv her toys its so sweet and sad at the same time. I keep telling her we will get her a friend as soon as we find a place to move into. ❤❤
oof Winnie is a girl with her own agenda and stubborn to the core! Little booger! it will be interesting to see what shes like as a grown up 🧨🧯The little Tiny Tim? tomatoes look like fun! ill be anxious to see what they look like as grown ups too lol 💗
Loved this vlog! Winnie is SO MUCH like her Momma and Grand-Dam in personality - Very independent and she wants it to be HER idea. LOL Also, how wild is it to have so much more space to put flowers and dwarf varieties of veggies on those GreenStalk planters? I absolutely LOVE mine as a salad bar currently - already almost ready to start cut and come again harvesting of leafy greens! Great thing about your lost zinnias - there is still time for more to be planted and give beautiful blooms all the way through summer and autumn.
I really should have been taking advantage of the Greenstalks so much sooner. I LOVE salad greens and The small footprint they take up makes them so valuable!!
I have found dog weave fence to work great for poultry, goats (I have 2 pygmies and a nigerian), and dogs. Hopefully it will also work for pigs in the future. Really don't want to have to also run electric fence.
Hey 👋 Heather , 😍 That 🐐Pretty Winnie's a hoot 😅 Her n Cole 🐐❤🐐made sure everyone Sleeps good that nite😉💭❗ Sounds like Spring The Tomatoes always have to be smacked around is what daddy always said 😅😂❗ The root systems were good on em 😊, Thanks for Sharing n have a Beautiful day filled with bunches of 💞💖💞 love Sweet lady 😘❗...
I’ve thought about breeding my ND does this fall but every time I watch your videos about birth or training babies to be nice, I change my mind and think nope it’s too much trouble! 😂
I have no problem transplanting watermelon, cucumber, squash for multiple seedlings with no problem. Are still doing meat rabbits? I always refer back to your channel for meat rabbits videos. So thank you for doing those. I really like our grow outs to be around the roaster stage. 14-16 weeks of age. We like a heavier rabbit. We do raise California and New Zealand. I love the colors I get from my new Zealand rabbits. As I do pettels and wanting to do a full blanket. Just saving all I can save for each one I butcher. I'm watching you as I eat lunch and I have to go out and get our high tunnel put together and get our seedlings out in it. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.
What we have seen transplanting cucurbits is it tends to set them back. A transplant of a melon takes time to adjust to transplant shock. And a seed put in the ground the same time the transplant is moved into the ground are the same size in a month, so for us those things are not worth transplanting UNLESS something is getting after the young seedlings. I'm sure with this too there is a measure of variability. :) We do rabbits still! Just had another litter born and about to process some in about 2 weeks!
The jacket removal technique was amazing. Aaahhh, youth.
You are a wealth of knowledge and I love your happy smiles! Looks like you are well on the way to success with Winny!
Hello farm friends! Have a great day!
Good morning! ♥♥ Thank you and you have a great day too!

If you are worried about hurting the roots freeing them in a bucket of water tends to be more gentle on them.
Great advice!

Zone 7a here!
I love the little bonfire peach trees! So glad to see they are flowering.
Love your bee hat, did you make or order it?
I ordered it online! www.bellabeek.com/collections/veils

Awesome thank you! We did put zinnia in start trays but I expect volunteers this year too from the huge zinnia we had last year!
She tossed that coat without missing a beat lol. I just really love the baby content. They are just the cutest things and it warms my heart. Glad to see Winnie coming around lol.
Wasn't that so funny?! She must have been wanting to take it off anyway, her reaction was so fast LOL
@@SageandStoneHomestead I don't think you even finished saying it before it went flying lol.
Those two babies remind me of herding cats! :D I'm glad they're starting to come around a bit and want to take the bottle.
Yes!!! That's exactly what it's like LOL!

Bussy busy life! Beauties!
The 3-strand wire does nothing to keep the babies in, it’s all about being with their mommas. They learn as they grow!
Ah, I wondered! The netting is working now!!
That baby girl is so beautiful. Cole is super beautiful as well. I love the Nigerian Dwarf goats. ❤❤❤

@@SageandStoneHomestead Absolutely will 😁
Oh my Winnie and Coal are so stinking adorable. Love your video as always. Much love and blessings dear.
She is such a adorable girl love her personality.
Thank you, me too! She is becoming friendlier every day ♥
Another special video Heather, you are rockin it!!
Thanks so much!!
She's so cute!
Thanks! She looks just like Baerli did as a baby except without horns.

Firecracker for sure!!! I actually kinda love it. If she could be a firecracker that was easy to handle that would be great haha

Pigs will push on a fence, even just to scratch their bum! The dog weave is like those plastic safety fences right?

I've grown Tiny Tim tomatoes & they got about 2 ft. They could get smaller if putting in the greenstalk.
Good to know! Where did you get your seeds?

your shirt is so cute, is that a calamity shirt? will you be selling them?
Yes and thank you!! I am testing out this company to see how the shirts wear and wash before I order more to have on hand to sell!! :)
I shouldn't have watched this, now I want to bottle feed baby goats.
It's really fun once they get the hang of it!
You could give them a couple of toys in the pen to climb on, then they might forget they are in jail 😂
I moved a bucket and a bench in there for them to jump on! :)
