If you've never seen them live, it's an experience you'll never forget.
Dude that's the damn truth
My first time last year in London and you are speaking facts, this song was my highlight too
It's like standing next to a UFO
~ Bill Burr 😉
One of the most magical outros every created, truly a spectacular arrangement of sound and rhythm.
Check out Straws Pulled at Radom TROMBONE cover.
Oh boy, my favourite Meshuggah song. Finally!
Top 5 for me
One of the best for sure, I'm obsessed by at lately. This version on UA-cam is perfect as well.
Check out Straws Pulled at Radom TROMBONE cover.
Do their song "Dancers for a Discordant System" please. I know I'm like a goddamn broken record asking for it on every Meshuggah song you two do.
Honestly Dancers is probably their best song. 9 minutes of pure groove, and almost every aspect of the band is packed into the song.
Yeah these two are gonna lose their minds to the heaviness of that one.
It’s their best song!! So glad I got to hear it live.
That song is an absolute MUST DO
For sure. Their opus magnum
I saw Meshuggah live a few months ago and its one of the best shows ive ever seen. SOOOO TIGHT. everything is so freaking tight despite how wild the rhythms are
The last two minutes of "Straws Pulled at Random" are as beautiful as any piece of music ever written.
It's cool how this song has the typical Meshuggah groove but then it really comes together at the transition with the more melodic guitar, followed by the solo, and then the outro goes back into that groove with the melodic guitar. Adding that bit of melody at the last half of the song was a genius touch.
Meshuggah best live band ever this song is a masterpiece
Yes
I've loved them since my teenage years in the 90s. Finally got to see them live last year and I'll never forget it.
5:40 i can relate to that reaction
its really emotional and brutal
It's an instant click when I see you two and an iconic metal track
I saw them live yesterday and it’s an unbelievable experience. Go watch them if you ever get the chance!
Meshuggah is the best live band in the world
That lead part in this song is magic to my ears. I do not know why or how.... it just is. :)
This has always been my favorite Meshuggah song. Love the outro! The power of it reminds me of the ending of Deliverance by opeth. Nothing but a badass riff just laid down for minutes on end!
Meshuggah is one of the tightest bands I've ever seen live. They never miss a note, despite playing stuff that is extremely technically challenging. Their lighting guy Edvard Hanson is also one of the best in the business. He plays the lighting console like it's an instrument and it brings their live shows to another world.
I've seen Meshuggah live 3 times and in one ocassion they played this tune, I thought I was gonna die right there. What a nasty song
It’s beautiful
Please do their best masterpiece, dancers to a discordant system next!
"Behind the Sun" for the next meshuggah one.. their most underrated song imo.
Heavily agree on this one
@@theolinwox I hope i'm not wrong, but i think this is the only song Jens Kidman composed and wrote all by himself. Maybe that's why I find it unique.
@@R...-...R I think you might be right, I’ve heard the same thing being said somewhere. It happens to be one of my absolute favorite songs from them, I’m gonna look into whether Jens actually wrote it himself or not though.
Research Update: Revolver Magazine interviewed Tomas Haake and he said this:
Kidman who hadn’t received a Meshuggah songwriting credit in years - wrote all of the music for “Behind The Sun.” The credits can be a little misleading, Jens plays a lot of guitar when we are in songwriting mode, and he’s definitely contributed a lot of riffs over the years, but if a song has six riffs created by five people, not everyone gets a credit. We have equal sharing of royalties anyway, so we don’t really care much about that stuff.
@@theolinwox my favorite too. I feel like i'm passing through the seven gates of hell when i listen to it, cause it is divided in parts that are heavier and heavier.
@@R...-...R yeah I see what you mean
Please check out the song „Stengah” live from this concert.
The lighting tech is the real MVP on this one
Bro, Death: Human. Best shirt ever!
Best song in the world to get you pumped for Bible study!
This is stunning. An artwork.
Meshuggah is fucking Metal gods!!
Guys, their Broken Cog or They Move Below music videos!! They are both so dope

Their light tech is by far the best in the business!!
WDR is german public TV. I had no idea they aired this... 😳
Gonna watch them live tomorrow 🤘🏻
They are always epic live, seen them a couple of times, they are from my hometown, and Orbit Culture is playing before them, so gonna be an epic night😊
You guys are on a roll! Also, hope you will check out something from Enslaved's new album. Will not spoil anything if you haven't heard of them, but they have released 16 albums since the early 90s, and are still evolving. Amazing band.
lol boogie on down. That bass riff is insane. Then the metal stank face is everywhere. lmao
absolutely my favorite song
6:03 that fill tho

Idea: Meshuggah Mondays and Tool Tuesdays. Best two bands on the planet!
That whole last section of the song is just beautifully painfully.

@@dmusiclife5727 ahhh you're a diamond, thank you
18hrs until I'm in the crowd in front of them....
fear factory please?
BEHIND THE SUN!!!!!
🤘🏻 i'm with you dude.
I'm just curious do you guys make money on your you tube channel? And if so how much do you give to the bands that your making money off of by using there songs and song titles to get people to watch you steal music. Just curious.
Eh, the classics... I suggest newer material since nobody is, in particular They Move Below and Monstrocity.
meshuggah without fredrik just feels weird
Per rips though.
I was blown away they found another viking that can fill Fred's shoes while he was gone. That's crazy.
@@WebsterA i agree he’s very good bit the vibe that fredriks solos bring to the music is unmatched
@@pipespeeps5349 yeah, no, you're right in that sense. Per solos like a beast but still doesn't signal intergalactic aliens like Fred seems to.
@@WebsterA he's got his own intergalactic thing going on, but its not quite the allan holdsworth variety. Its more like "normal" fusion, if there is such a thing.
He’s back though nowadays. He performed the guitar solos on immutable and has been touring since.
