The hip bone is the ilium, plural ilia. The iliac artery/vein/nerve are in the pelvis, derived from the same root. Don’t be confused by the ileum, which is the final part of the small intestine.
I tend to attack NYT xwords quite differently given it’s not a cryptic xword(unlike say the London Times) and a good number are straight-up trivia question clues. So I just fill in all the obvious trivia ones (eg., Nixon clue today), then fill in all the s’s where answers are obviously plural then the “d” for all past tense answers and then begin the rest. For eg., in today’s xword I did not find the theme to be much of a help and understood it only AFTER I had finished doing the whole thing. I thought “hidden wires” and “growth rings” and “flirty” and “Nixon” and “tictacs” were total give-aways!!!!!
Brilliant to watch & learn. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Today's flowed quite nicely for me (especially compared to yesterday!), but I got locked up in the lower left corner for ages!

Chris missed 29 Across, which is my hometown, and I was curious how quickly he would pick up on it. c'est la vie
65, 69, 97 Across as well :(
@@pranavdaryanani2321 He did eventually see 69 Across at 32:58 at least.
@@pranavdaryanani2321 He got 69 at the very end actually which I'm pleased by as a hockey fan
