I'm glad they kept the name "Apple Card Savings Account" basic and to-the-point. Financial things are intimidating, so making it obvious helps people on the fence about switching.
If Apple was really smart they would raise cash back percentages. Apple products 4%, apple pay 3%, and apple card 2%. This is what I want Apple to do.

I saw your video a couple of weeks ago talking about the card. I applied for it that day and got it. Got the physical card about 3 days later.. After this video, I set up a savings account.
For the first time in my life I now have a savings account! Granted it only has $1.50 in it but hey, it’s a start.

I find the best way to use the Apple Card to gain Apple Cash is to setup small automatic payments with it. Examples: Setup your cellphone, steaming services, and other small bill payments with the card. Than pay off the bill in full with your debit card every month. You’ll build consistent credit this way too.

I wish my mother was more tech savvy because I would set this up for her. Even the teller at her bank told her her money isn’t collecting anything in the savings account she currently has.
Yes I just opened the savings account to try it out. I hope Apple keeps this because it is real easy to transfer money in.
Just opened mine and transferred Daily Cash into Savings. This will certainly upset some banks just because of the ease of setting it up.

Assisted Listening devices, they are not adequate for hard of hearing individuals.

question, Do you only get the 4.15%APY on the apple cash back you get from using the card, Or can you deposit any amount of money to sit in the savings account and it will earn 4.15%?

This is awesome!! been an apple user forever. Question! moving money $$$ to the Apple Card savings account. don't see an option to fund this account under my living trust. If were to die GS will most likely keep that money. All my bank accounts and savings are under my trust.
With my credit union, I Currently I have several savings accounts like my property tax account, vacation account, vehicle insurance deductible, etc etc. so I would like Apple Saving to have separate nicknamed sub accounts or buckets under the main Savings account to visually categorize my money to make sure I saved enough for each particular task. Hopefully that comes soon.

I didn't get the option to move my Apple cash to my savings I just set up and not sure how to move it. When I go to add money to it, it only allows my bank account to put money there.

Already moved all my money in savings from my current bank which is paying 0.02%. Apple is basically giving away free money if you manage yourself properly.
Keep in mind this apy generally moves with fed rate so it move all the way down to 0.50 apy

Moved my Daily Cash to savings account. I’d like to see the ability to automatically transfer money into the savings account on a recurring basis. That would be a great feature. 🐬
If you go to the account info you can find the savings account routing and account number. You can just use that to set-up reoccurring transfers from your other banks

Same, I will still keep a CU in case I need a car loan or something one day. Also, what would I do during the 1% of the time that I need some cash. There are some things that I think i still need from a CU
Just put $200,000 in this and another $200,000 in something like CIT or UFB. Diversify even with your passive income. This is the maximum low risk method, if you don’t mind risk then put some into an ETF.
@@MrWhiterunGuard Agreed. Moving majority of my savings from bigger BofA to Apple and just holding at Apple. Im using this Apple account for the 4.15% and not a spending account. Just hope they dont get hacked.
Keep in mind your ability to get physical cash. If you are 100% with apples savings account, I’m not sure you can use an ATM or other method of getting direct cash.

It’s as difficult as any credit card.
The interest is taxable though. Might be better to use a non taxable money market fund
I didn't get the pop-up to transfer my Daily Cash and I see others in the comments having the same issue. It turns out I never verified identity on my Daily Cash account. Once I did that I was able to transfer my Daily Cash directly to the Apple Card Savings.

They will not limit number of transaction but APY is deff subject to change.

Firstly we love Maxx Chewning! Secondly, since you just signed up it could take a few days to give you that option. But keep checking, it should show up soon. Daily Cash back is one way to earn in order to add to your savings but you can also just deposit from you bank into the savings account
Also make sure you are on iOS 16.4 or newer

If you have a older iPhone it won't give you the option, I have a iPhone 7 and it won't show that option...

🐬I followed along to open a savings account but hit a glitch. At the last step, I clicked the next button and it went back to wallet and ‘setup’ was still displayed. However I got an email confirming my savings account is open. And if I click that setup button I get a error that says ‘savings unavailable’. Probably your video is so popular it’s crashing the Apple server 🐬
It’s easy to get 8% interest rate here in India. You can also get as much as 11 or 12 % if you can lock your money for a certain amount of time.

@@foodini666 It’s true and the major reason behind this is inflation. Just look at the interest rate in Argentina, it’s 100%. Now you might think that keeping money in Argentina is a smarter choice but the currency has lost more than half its value in the 1 year which means even after 100 percent return you would have made a loss compared to keeping the money as US dollar with no interest.

If you go to 4:12 in the video you can see “routing and account numbers” on the phone he shares on the screen. Not sure if that helps or not
I just applied and received my Apple Card for the first time yesterday. I don't have the "Savings" option on my Daily Cash menu. Is that because you need to have made a payment on the card first, i.e. acquired some cash back/Daily Cash, to put into the savings before you can sign up for the Savings Account?
i've had an apple credit card for about 2 years and its not showing on my app either. it must not be 100% rolled out for everyone yet?

no physical card needed. I’ve never had the physical card and setting up the savings account was no problem
