I’ve made more interest in my Apple saving account in two months than I’ve made in the past 5 years with my regular bank savings account. If they only offered checking, I would get rid of my regular bank altogether.
Apple Card is the only CC I know of that always makes the billing cycle from 1st day of the month to the last day of the month every month and the due date is always the last day of the following month. It’s a very underrated feature. It makes me feel very control of my finances. In trying to manage my credit utilization, I try to pay it all off by the end of the current month but I know I can hold off paying until the last day of the following month and not be charged interest.
I’ve been using the Apple Card since it was offered to Apple employees as a pilot program. It’s the best card, it’s the ONLY credit card I use. So easy to pay it off within the Wallet App
Interest rates are ridiculously high even for those with excellent credit. It’s a status symbol in many ways. The features are pretty good, but there are WAAY better offers in the CC market
I now use it for everything because most places now accept ApplePay. So, 2% back on nearly every purchase. I use Amazon’s card on Amazon for 5% rewards. I pretty much don’t purchase anything unless there is a % back. I love how the AppleCard keeps you clearly informed about when and how much you need to pay to avoid interest.
I used to work for Capital One in the High Value Spend customer service. I did both frontline and supervisor roles. The rewards can't be beaten for $0 AMF full stop. The reward cash also being treated as a 4% savings account is a great bonus.
It is a good way to pay for subscriptions that have recurring charges. Some of these companies make it hard to cancel and you can just rotate the card numbers to kill their ability to charge you.
This actually doesn’t work. I had a recurring service that I wanted to cancel and to make sure it was canceled. I change the Apple Card number. The purchase showed up as number changed but then the next day it charged my card anyway.
I love the card, I travel abroad a lot with the military and they drop my interest to 2% (though I normally pay it off every month) and there’s no foreign transaction fees. It’s my go to card vs using a debit card or other credit card especially when abroad. Coupled with the savings account and it’s just a killer deal. So much better option then Chase or other available cards out there. Customer service is absolutely phenomenal! Being able to text and get things resolved anywhere in the world is awesome.
Thanks. I am an Apple Pay card user because a lot of my places don’t have the touch screens but I needed you to help straighten some of this up in my head. Thank you. I love the ability to pay through Apple messenger to my neighbors who go to the store for me, or mow my lawn, etc. because I’m too old to do things myself. That way I do not have to keep cash in the house I can still pay all these people and feel good about it That they got their money sometimes before they’ve done the Services for me.
I got this card just because I’m a big Apple ecosystem guy. Not the best card all around, but for Apple things it’s well worth it. The interest free payments over time on apple products is insane
I’d say cards fit into 1 of 3 buckets. -Store cards or No rewards -cash back rewards -points/travel rewards A no reward & store reward cards are virtually useless and gimmicky. Points & travel reward is a HUGE market and there lots of great cards in this category. Cash back cards have a few solid players, but I don’t think any of them match up to what Apple offers. Here’s why! Most people will be getting the 2% cash back because of using Apple Pay. Also the cash back savings with currently 4%+ interest is unmatched and it’s money directly in your hand.
You’re killing it with these videos - really, really good stuff. I’ve been an Apple Card user since launch and I still learned something (how to see my lifetime Cash Back earnings). You did a nice, balanced job on the savings accounts too. Keep it up!!

I hear positives for SOFI but I’m in part of the rust belt where people still gift you loads of real cash instead of a PP/VM/DP. Apple savings account is so clutch. Apple Cash is convenient that you can bring money over from a bank account. I don’t think it’ll be long until they add a legitimate checking account since it’s going so well for them.
The interest rate for the card is super high even if you have good to great credit. Warning, pay off balance monthly or the 2% or 3% daily you get back is just a drop in what they charge you.
@@synenActually, cards can vary quite a bit in their interest rates. So if you can't pay off your credit every month, it absolutely makes sense to shop around for one of the cards with lower interest rates. Carrying a credit card balance is never the way to go. Always pay off credit cards before the monthly payment is due-- lose nothing in interest and gain a percentage back on all purchases. Free money! Or rewards depending on the card.

13:00 PSA credit limit increases definitely do affect your credit rating. Around 30% of your score gets calculated based on how much credit you utilise, so you should ALWAYS check how much credit you are using and how much credit limit is right for you. If a lender tells you that they've increased your credit limit by a few thousand $, it can be a good idea to call them to have this revoked. Do not get fooled into thinking that more credit limit means you can/should change your spending patterns.
You wouldn’t need to revoke it just keep the same spending pattern. The higher your credit limit is while spending less benefits you. Spending 300 a month with a 10k limit build credit better than spending 300 a month with a 1k limit.

Also saw a recent article, I think in the WSJ, that Goldman S. wants desperately to sell the Apple partnership to another lender. The article did not name a potential buyer. Wonder why Goldman wants out of this deal with Apple? As the consumer, you just need to know this is a possibility. All this said, all the the features mentioned in the video are correct. I use the card because it is convenient.
I believe this is Goldman Sacs first ever entry to small consumer banking. They want to get out of it because they are used to private banking to high net worth clients. So Goldman Sacs thinks this is a lot of work for so little profit.

I would like to avoid the monthly installments. Does this make any sense to you? I would appreciate any input.
Hi Margaret. I think you would want to transfer funds from your Apple Savings account to Apple Cash and then use the money in Apple Cash to pay Apple for the phone. I’ll let Apple explain: “You can't spend money or make purchases in Savings directly through your Apple Card or Apple Pay. If you want to access your funds, you can transfer money from Savings to Apple Cash or to a linked external bank account.” “What can I do with my Apple Cash? You can use Apple Cash to make purchases just as you would with physical cards and cash. It works anywhere Apple Pay is accepted - in stores, online, and in apps. You can also transfer your Apple Cash to your bank account.”
@@renodavidThank You, I think my issue is that there is not enough Apple Cash to complete the complete purchase. Maybe I should just ‘add’ cash to raise the balance. I really wanted to use the monthly payments for the balance, after Apple Cash & Trade In. Can that be done?
@@margaretbusteed731 I think you’re going to have to touch bases with Apple to see if you can do that. I’d only be guessing, but it sure sounds feasible to me. I have an Apple Card and I always make my payments, and just to test it out I tried a measly $130 pay later purchase and got denied. I don't know how I feel about that lol.
I personally have a terrible experience with the apple card when discussing transactions, I won’t recommend it unless you want to get an apple product financed without interest
my biggest disappointment is with the Savings account. my wife and I share our account but Savings does not offer a joint account? why? if my wife and I are card owners then having a joint account is a must. this has made me re-think having an Apple savings account like I have with my bank.
It’s not hard to manage it from an external account, my wife and I both can access the savings account through our main bank and easily make transfers in and out.
Wait until you have to dispute one of your charges. Worst manipulative service ever, they will never side with you and you’ll also pay twice as much as the original dispute in the end.

Right now I’m just beginning to explore what the options are when it comes to buying a new phone, so I’m no expert. The monthly payments seem relatively painless though. Good luck with your purchase!
I have an Apple Card and I always make my payments, and just to test it out I tried a measly $130 pay later purchase and got denied. I don't know how I feel about that lol.
Now that I have an Apple Card I need to 10x how much I make so I can use it everyday
How much apple card?
How much apple card
This will be my next card…
If I buy a phone from the t mobile website using my Apple Card will that qualify for 3 percent cash back?
@hitman10171 It will qualify for the 3%
I personally have a terrible experience with the apple card when discussing transactions, I won’t recommend it unless you want to get an apple product financed without interest
Wow you have $11600 credit limit!
my biggest disappointment is with the Savings account. my wife and I share our account but Savings does not offer a joint account? why? if my wife and I are card owners then having a joint account is a must. this has made me re-think having an Apple savings account like I have with my bank.
It’s not hard to manage it from an external account, my wife and I both can access the savings account through our main bank and easily make transfers in and out.

Still not in my country
I like it
Wait until you have to dispute one of your charges. Worst manipulative service ever, they will never side with you and you’ll also pay twice as much as the original dispute in the end.
