Still at the grindstone at this stage. Doing it well, fueled by the genuine appreciation of true fans. Divas they ain't, what they are now is a beautiful freak of nature, eccentric craftsmen of interesting music that still retains their personal stamp through what is now generations. It has been a privilege to behold.

Crazyschizomaniac that's what the best arts do, it expresses our failures & struggles - things we don't like talking about yet have such an effect on us. A lot of the time it's related to love (other struggles include not knowing where you are in life, feeling lost) and you do get this in the most popular music, though it can be elsewhere of course, like in literary arts (novels & poetry), or performing arts (e.g. theatre, dance, music, can be combined with others), & most familiar to us nowadays from visual arts (paintings, sculpture, films & tv shows). The arts that are 'best' seem to connect with us over our failures & struggles, the thing we try not to express.

What a most perfect and almost natural collaboration. It's great to hear and see the Mael brothers again -isn't it? Makes me feel not quite so old! A great move from Franz Ferdinand but I am certain that both of these fantastic bands will extend their audience from this project.

Sometimes I wish I could erase this song from my brain and listen to it for the first time all over again. I'll never forget how it felt first hearing the "Some might find me borderline attractive from afar" part and the dance beat on the chorus. Suddenly I went "oh wow, this really IS Sparks + Franz Ferdinand!" This was my pick for album of the year in 2015 and I still regard it highly- and I still dream that we'll receive a follow-up someday.

I just found these guys, they are brilliant
Having more or less given up on contemporary music but for the latest Marianne Faithful or Bowie albums to discover FFS clearly communicate such joy and so contagious a buzz performing makes me want to see a live band again. The Sparks excited me in an era of mainstream Osmond and Bay City Roller shite and for someone who came of age as punk and new wave surfaced its awesome seeing them thrill and inspire with mindblowing material alongside one of todays band and reach a new generation. Wow !

La unión de Franz Ferdinand (FF) y Sparks (S) se ha convertido en una de las noticias musicales de la temporada. A priori la idea generaba bastantes dudas, aunque la banda escocesa y la estadounidense comparten criterios pop con puntos en común. Finalmente la cosa ha funcionado a la perfección ya que ambos grupos aportan su lado más juguetón para crear un disco de pura new wave bailable y realmente adictivo., donde no falta glam pop, en el que los escoceses ponen las guitarras y el dúo californiano los teclados. De este modo surgen cosas tan chulas como "Johnny Delusional" o cosas tan delirantes como "Collaborations don't work" ("Las colaboraciones no funcionan") o "Police Encounters", y canciones tan resultonas como "Call Girls" o la histriónica "Save me from myself". Esperemos que este proyecto no se quede en una anécdota, para que en el futuro nos puedan presentar más discos fruto de esta acertada colaboración.

The Sparks were an older band that's "glory days" have past but they still have great music
+Evan Siefke (Evanator24) By 'glory days' you must mean pop chart success - sorry mate but Sparks could have been but never wanted to be BCR/Slik/Roxy Music or make music like any other band out there - they do want recognition and success [who doesn't] but most of all they enjoy creating quirky, provocative masterpieces. Most other musicians would not choose to go on tour at the age of 60+ ... FFS is a breath of fresh air in an age where the music of Swift and Minaj [no disrespect intended] has become all pervasive.
