The floating panel was my biggest gripe with the 2024 version. The 2023 layout was great for me and I'm of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" school
For property inspector, I wasn't happy of the floating dialog too in 2024. But using the auto-collapse feature, it makes it more usable IMHO. When collapsed, the floating dialog is so small I can move it on the window top bar without overlapping the image. Only when I hover it does it expand until I hover away. For me, that works much better as I find nesting the property inspector in the right pane as too confusing and annoying. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with the masking options, better in 2023 To me i hope they put a ">" after any option that has a drop down at the moment it is like an old computer game where you hover over menu items to look for clues in some cases
Personally I think the new masking panel is far better than the old way in 2023. I prefer to keep the mask panel floating and collapsed in the top right corner of the image. Everybody is different 🙂 New colour balance UI is also very much improved and in line with what people, with experience with other software, expect.
Thanks for the update Sean. Have a great Xmas and New Year and hope to see many more videos in 2024
Thanks Trefor, Merry Christmas and a happy new year

I'll try that when I'm at my desk next

Agree about the hover indicator. I mentioned that in my video on the UX issues with On1 2024.

I'm glad it works for you. Maybe I'm in the minority here.
Seems to me they should have given users the option to use the new color wheels or the sliders as existed in earlier versions.
