Joe tells the Norm Airplane/smoking story all the time and he never realizes Norm was totally messing with him. Even after Colin Quinn and Tom Green (who knew Norm more than Joe) both told him that it was a total set up, Joe says he doesn't think so...he just can't imagine that Norm was working on that level. But Norm fans know.
Joe is not really built for Norm humour. I always thought that’s why he never had him on, cause he knew he’d just be running laps around him the entire podcast
I've heard Rogan tell that Norm plane story at least ten times, Tom was the first one who knew it was a bit. Norm committed to bits so hard he never winked.
as a smoker I could totally see myself telling someone how great it was that I quit smoking, then run to the smoke shop after hours stuck in a metal tube. An after a long flight cig is the best you'll ever have. But yeah joe needs to retire that story
