- The trip from Minnesota to Louisiana. Almost 1400 miles. We go from the cold of winter to the warmth of summer as the country slowly shuts down. Now that I am down here I am more quarantined than any other place besides if I was at The Tent. No one has stepped foot inside the house in 8 months.
truckers are real heroes in times like this
I wish I was still out there. I only drove for 6 years...had Carpal Tunnel surgery...stalp infection, then Sepsis...which left me disabled.
Hi Joe. Follow your videos with interest for years. I really like your way of working, building your tent and working on the farm. But Joe wants to tell you that there is some horror in Europe right now. I don't know what they say on US news about the situation in Europe because of CoviD-19, me and my loved ones have a cabin deep in the mountains. We are isolated with food, water, medicines. My advice to you is to prepare yourself and your family and isolate yourself in the tent and backwoods cabin. The situation is terrible! Be alive and well and may God protect you and your family.
@Brenda J Hi Brenda J. Nobody says anything. Yesterday in Italy, nearly 800 people were killed. That is why I took care of myself - I went to a mountain hut with my family. Europe's leaders don't even know when this hell will end! I hope God is merciful and blesses people in Europe and America. Bulgaria is a loyal ally of the USA and always will be! God be with us!
Мартин Иванов Praying for healing, protection and peace for you and your family and for the whole world. From Dayton, Ohio USA.
I enjoyed the ride along to Louisiana. Thanks for the ride.
Phew Joe! Tired after that long drive! Thanks for sharing and letting me ride along! Stay well and safe! Camarillo Grammy!
I wish I could drive 1400 miles in under 15 min. Lol... Welcome to Louisiana!
We've all just done the central United States from north to south in under 15 minutes. lol
My wife and I truly always try to look for a Drury inn anytime we're out of town, great hotel and great price as well. not to mention that give you free breakfast and dinner and cocktails in the evening.
They are nice.
Helicrazy 360 me and my girlfriend do the same. Always my go to
I used to live in Cape Giradeau and in Popular Bluff as a kid growing up. Haven’t been back there since I left when I was a kid . Used to live down by the Mississippi River. It was so cold with lots of snow on the ground. I don’t miss that town.
Glad you made it safe Joe.
Joe, thank you, I thought I was the only one to park where I can see my vehicle from my hotel room...lol
But the way , if y'all ate today , thank a trucker...
Totally!
My whole family ate today. I’m very grateful! Thank you truckers👍🏽
Don't forget America's farmers! Without them, we'd all be up the creek without a paddle! In each of our own ways, we all play our part in keeping the wheels of civilization spinning. From the guys and gals that plant the corn, to the truckers that bring it to the ranchers that feed their cattle and hogs the corn to the stock boy at the grocery store that unloads it off of the truck and puts it out for us to buy, to the mother of four that cooks it up for us to eat, yes sir, we all are part of what makes this work!
I'm a truck driver and I've been non stop since this started. The drive thru only is no big deal if you call them and tell them you're a trucker they bring you're food out to you but it'sone less bathroom available. Also the lifting of regulations only applies to very few drivers under 5% or less
I have to tell u from my countless drives from western central washington to northneastern iowa and my one drive from wa to ne kansas i feel where your coming from i will never do it again to old and no desire anymore but i love the video thank u
I drove from Sarasota, Florida to Maple Grove, Minnesota back in 2017 to get out of Hurricane Irma’s way. Drove 8 hours a day for three days with my wife, two small children and two dogs in a Honda Odyssey. It was actually a very fun
, family road trip. Paducah, Kentucky was lovely to stop at each way for lunch.
That trip you just made is longer that the total length of Sweden where i'm from :)
You probably get told this all the time but ...you would have to be the hardest working most motivated man I’ve ever seen ....stay safe mate ..from outback Western Australia....I’ve loved your videos from day one ..thanks Joe
Thanks Joe for keeping us up to date on what is going on with you guys and providing an outlet at this time in history. I hope that you guys get more subscribers that will take advantage of the content that you have provided us for years in times like these ! Stay safe !!
Wow, that . was a fast trip south and the interstate driving did not look crowded, Please stay safe .....
Liked the video differently different from what u usually post. 2 thumbs up from me Joe. And as always keep up the great work and live your content
Glad you had a safe trip! Sorry you had to deal with so much rain. 👍🤠
It funny I ve never been to America ,but that drive really looks just like our scenery in central Scotland
Dude, this ain’t Scotland!
I've seen videos of Scotland and I think the country of my kinsmen is beautiful.
that's because you didn't see the democrat run drugged up, sanctuary cities where you could get killed just stopping at a red light !!
Except everyone's on the wrong side of the road here, no? lol. Yeah, As different as we tend to think our corner of the world is, the more it's just the same. I look at the forests of Germany and think this looks just like the forests of Ohio.
Ha ha ha ha! You're so dumb
Thanks for the ride along Joe 👍 Stay well and God bless ✌️
Nice trip, I love traveling.
Glad you had a safe journey!
Have a safe trip Joe and enjoy.
Good job Forrest. Returning home
You are booking it my friend. Reminds me of my trip to Conwell Ma back in 78 but I was 23-years-old. I guess it is mind over matter but I know you are in good physical shape so I know it is not that bad. Still tiring. But you are very discipline about bed and wake up times that it really is just about going through your daily routine. Except driving a bunch of miles.
Hello Joe ,great ride down to Louisiiana Hope to see the house on the next video .
I don't live too far from your location Joe. I know you will be busy so i won't bother you. Stay safe and you hit crawfish season just right!
Sometimes those goosechases are not so fun. Lol! Glad to see you made it Joe. Enjoy the weather in Louisiana!
Nice drive, lots of gray skies. Enjoyed the glimpse of Missouri, lived there for a while for my job. Sure like the view of green grass down south. I’m looking forward to the next video (no pressure). 🌝. I rarely watch tv and now that I’m generally in my house, youtube and your channels are my entertainment.
Sure hope you brought your shorts and t-shirts ... it is warm down here (south MS myself) …. can't wait for your videos ~ stay safe & healthy!!!
I did bring shorts in case I had to pressure wash the house again but it can wait until next time. With this stupid virus, everything is different this time down. Not sure how much outside stuff I will get to do.
@@NorthernSeclusion Just stay away from people and use common sense!! Hope you get to do what all (or most of what you have planned).
Truckers’ sure do get kicked around a lot and where would we be without them? I certainly do appreciate what they mean to our lifestyles. Maybe a solution to their late night meal problems is some of the fast food chains could offer late night curb service. Open for truckers only. No one else. Especially along interstates. They need some relief.
I would go insane not seeing any sun on a long road trip like that. And the truckers out there are definitely the MVP's in these trying times. But we can't forget about the allstars in the hospitals!
I totally agree, without them the whole country would come to a total halt. People would be killing each other in the streets.
I drive from Mid Michigan to Leesville Louisiana all the time, straight through, 1400 miles one way, it a Awesome drive. Stay Safe, Keep Well.
I aided in putting out the word that if you see trucks at fast food joints ask if you can run the drive thru for them. It could help for sure. My baby daddy is a milk hauler and he says they are running like mad. God Bless them all!!
Glad you made it safe Joe. I drove truck for a few years, that was enough for me. On the way home, through Tennessee swing by. I’ll throw on some pork steaks! Enjoy the warm weather.
Wow! I can't believe you made that trip in just 2 days...geez! You must be pooped! I want to thank you, Joe, for taking me along for the ride...I saw parts of this great country of ours I have never seen...SO looking forward to the next video!
Nice drive. You made it seem short. Mississippi is a beautiful state. I used to spend summer vacation on a farm near Poplarville which is in the southern part of the state. If you can stand the heat and humidity it's a great place to live.
I'm from the Netherlands, and corona is getting very serious overhere. Its not as bad as in Italy so far, but all restaurants and bars are fully closed except for takeaway till the 6 of april, but we espect it will last longer then that. Be carefull Joe and stay healthy!
Thank you, it is the same here now. It started this week, just take out now.
Thanks for taking us with you
Hey what's good Joe. I enjoyed riding with you passing through all the states to get to Louisiana. You be safe my man.
Joe, thanks for taking us all along for the drive. Central Delaware has gone from mild winter temps to near-tropical. 76 deg F this aft and humid. Mother Nature is speaking up. Best to you and Melissa and all the critters.
I'm from northern de, this winter has been crazy.
Welcome back to Louisiana
Glad you finally got down there .
I know you been talking about it a long time .
I hope this virus don’t mess up your plans.
Best of luck 👍
Hey Joe glad you got there safe! 👍👍👍💯💯💯
The truckers can google the restaurant they're at, get the phone number, call in their order, and the servers will run it out to them at the door. My friends father is a truck driver, and that's what he's been doing.
Well that’s all fine and dandy, except what if the servers are infected, you don’t know who touched the bags or food, Hence the phrase ‘shelter in place’
@@65895555 the truck drivers have to deliver all this toilet paper everyone seems to need so much of. They have to eat
@@earlwright9715
Yep, where there's a will there's a way. 😊
@@65895555
Not any different than any other day, Sir. 🤷 You can't live life in fear, and the truck drivers deserve to eat somewhere, something! Everybody is at "risk" one way or another when going to the fast food places.
I really enjoyed this😊❤️
Can’t wait for your next few vids on the house, we are quarantined really look forward to your videos, hoping they are long ones, we have aloooot of time to kill
🙌🏼 welcome back to Louisiana
I love taking this drive. "I wanna go home. Please let me go home."
Ann from Alabama here. Yes, the temperature has been wonderful for weeks with passing rain. Highs 70 - 80's then lows 50's - 60's. Everything is blooming, everyone is sneezing, because our cars are all yellow with pollen! Birds singing, bees buzzing, dogs barking! Spring!.. About the truckers, we've been praying for them. Some Sonics have wheeled stairs that reach the cab of the trucks so they can hand them their food and take the money. They look almost like the old airport, mobile stairs that were used for older planes!.. Don't think people will want to go back to the past regulatory restrictions we'd come to hate! When this is over. Police are being able to protect and serve; Drs. and hospitals can do what they think is necessary to save patients without red tape, letting them die, or government forms / they're making decisions on own and purchasing supplies where they can get them, truckers free to deliver merchandise to customers without big government breathing down their necks or stress of truck data locking them down, tax debt postponed, interest rates down - finally, student loans - no interest for months, schools not teaching socialism now - out, families spending time together, business are volunteering to start other lines of production to supply that which is need now! WOW! Some of these younger folks has never really tasted freedom in this country. They are now though! That's just my opinion, I know everyone has one or two! Just saying! Love your channel Joe! Glad you had a safe journey! Looking forward to more videos! Love freedom!
Thank you Ann. Very awesome comment.
Tnx for the ride along, nice trip for someone that doesn't get out much. 73 Ed
enjoy Loozeeanna! Looking forward to the progress on the southern abode.
Lots of work down there stay safe Joe do not get that virus see you on the next video!!
My house in Pennsylvania was 1336 miles one way from my house in Louisiana. It would take me 19 hours from door to door driving straight through. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and finally Pennsylvania, all in 19 hours! My forefather's fought with the Louisiana Tigers under Jubal Early at Gettysburg. I've often wondered how long it took them to get there from Louisiana.
So glad to see that you made it okay. There are so many difficult jobs that are made more so with this virus mess. We should thank them all and be grateful for what they do. Good luck with the repairs this trip!
You’re so right about our roads here in Arkansas. They are pretty bad. Be safe and blessings to you!!
In these unsettling times, I wish all the best for you and your family. Take care of your loved ones and look after yourself also. Peace upon you my brother.
We watched you drive from minn to La an wish we knew when you were coming back thru we would love to come an say hi to you at flying J.we Enjoy watching all your videos.😀
Glad you had a safe trip. Stay safe.
Its like day and night, way different different styles too ! We run around in shorts during winter, while your all bundled up> it would be way to warm for ya here, like its way to cold for me, up there i can't stand -30 deg, nor even below 62 degs
Glad u had a save trip..now its work time 👍
South bound and down! Thanks for the update. Glad you made it safe. Take care down there Joe.
Thanks for the ride along Joe, I've only been to St.Louis, MO it was nice hopping along I wished you would have stopped at Graceland. This is better then Rick Steves Europe. I miss driving my truck.
Geez I heard a familiar voice in your truck! All she does to me is tell me where to go!!😷🤧. Have a safe trip home.
Loves truck stop best coffee on the road
That’s a lot of hotel room for one person. I drove from South Georgia up to Mott North Dakota this past fall to pheasant hunt and enjoyed the drive, we really liked Missouri.

Who else is binge watching tent video’s while staying home due to COVID19? I’m in the fourth hour now.
Best wishes Joe, and I hope you can accomplish every thing you set out to do while there. With your tremendous work ethic, I have no doubt you will, and then some.
Hello from Massachusetts Joe! Safe travels!
Glad you made it Joe.
Always enjoy these long trips you take us on Joe!!! Could you please go to Hawaii???🤣🤣. Oh nevermind, you can't drive to Hawaii, you will drown🤣🤣. It's all over fb that the government is shutting the US down Sunday for 12-14 days. I sure hope and pray that you don't get stuck down there, that will be horrible. Thnx for sharing your journey to Louisiana. God bless you
..GOOD ONE ,KEEP SAFE..

Great video!
Welcome back to Louisiana Mr.Joe.
Be safe Joe. Hunker down and shelter in place.
I have traveled thAt road a lot
Been to St. Louis a couple times, but, I usually took I57 to Chicago from Canton, MS (Nissan parts) I was a trucker. Cape Girardeau is Rush Limbaughs home town. Glad you're having a good trip. I used to run 2800 miles M-F from Smyrna, TN to Tawas City, MI..in northern MI. Loved it. Plans to sell the Louisiana house? Or, will it eventually be a winter destination.
Be Safe!
This house will be sold.
Glad you had a safe trip.
