Not many truckers on the road. God bless those that are knowing that they are essential workers. I hope that the people along the road realize the sacrifices they make to keep the nation supplied.
To many memories, when I was an owner operator one if my routes took me the exact same way you travel... Minticello to Harahan La and the French Quarter..I remember 61 in Iowa and Mo when it was 2 lane all the way from I80 to St.Louis..... I remember when the Flying J in Mo was built... Thanks for the ride..
That Ford of yours likes the highway. I have an old Silverado that loves the highway. I've done some long haul in it. Toronto to Wyoming Toronto to Central City Iowa etc... Glad your home safe .
Hey Joe, It's funny how things have changed from your trip home to now. This virus deal has really taken a toll on alot of people. Take Care and God Bless.
Well Joe no need to wash your truck as the rain saw to that - now its early to bed I guess after allowing the dogs out for nature!! Cheers Mate for sharing.
Glad you made it safely. Today we were placed in a Shelter in Place order. We haven't been out of the condo for a week. We can food shop and walk on the sidewalk as the beach areas down here are ghost towns. My wife is immune compromised from cancer treatments so she can't shop. But we are safe and fine which is okay. And I get to watch you in action! Hooray!
That hard rain reminds me of my one and only trip through Hartford Ct. back in 1978 Driving thru a town that I had never driven thru in pouring rain about 1500 hrs. Fun Fun, Fun Thank God I was young. (23). Not sure I could do that drive today at 64.
States getting shut down in March 2020 reminds me... My wife has been battling cancer, and we started driving from Central Michigan to Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, the day after Christmas, 2019. Stayed in Rochester a week at a time, over New Years, then a week in February. Finally, sometime in mid-March, we got a call on a Thursday afternoon asking if we could be there by Friday evening so that she could have a COVID test on Saturday morning, and then be quarantined for five days before surgery? So, we hit the road, and arrived in Rochester about 4:00PM, Friday. Checked into our hotel, and called the Cl8nic to let them know we were in town. Two hours later, they called back to say that your governor had just shut down the state, including Mayo Clinic, and we could go home! We were pretty bummed! Interesting trip back to Michigan too, as Illinois had shut down too! It was an adventure.
You passed us here in Arkansas...we live close to Fayetteville. We’ve driven from California to North Carolina and back and then from CA to AR twice. Driving long distances is never fun. Stay safe through all of this craziness. I’ve been watching the tent videos for quite sometime and they are wonderful and relaxing.
Thank you for taking us along on your drive home. It was nice seeing the countryside. I am surprised you guys still have so much snow, but the snowmelt has got to be not far away.
I am glad you made it back safe and sound Joe. Whew that's a long trip. I'm afraid of flying but I believe I would just have to take me a Valium and suck it up, lol. But th3n again I love long road trips even though I don't think I've been on one for a continuous 20 hours. 8 once or twice. Tyfs God bless you
I travel a lot for my job, sometimes for months on end. Whenever I get home, I sleep like a baby for a few days. There's nothing like sleeping in your own bed.
That's is a long drive. Me and a friend drove from Houston to Michigan and it did took us over 20 hours. Broke down twice. Not fun with 4 kids either and wives.
I wonder if you sighed as loud as I did when you pulled into the driveway at the farmhouse. Always good to get back home. Definitely now with this pandemic. I'd be avoiding those drive-thrus and limit your shopping, sanitize lots. Home cooked, when you or Melissa does it beats drive-thru any day. :-)
To tell you how addicted I am to your channel, when I saw the freeway exit sign "Cloquet" I said "CLOQUET!" outloud! LOL Glad you had a safe trip, I bet you're beat!
When I first started watching your channel, it was you, Max, the tent and the great outdoors. Your life has sure changed. Here's hoping some of the many burdens you carry begin to ease and you have time for the other things your life has to offer. Best wishes and stay healthy.
He may as well finish it and max out the value the markets are a bit wonky with everything that's going on in terms of loans and confidence as it relates to jobs from a potential buyer's perspective. But then again there may be a cash buyer sitting on some money looking to invest in real estate.
I enjoyed this drive. 😇. My last long drive was from southern CA to south of Detroit Lakes, MN. I enjoyed it, but was so glad to be home in my own bed with my husband!
At 0:47 it looks exactly like Minnesota, heading to the tent. Love your videos. Good thing you left Louisiana, it terrible there now. I have relatives in LaFayette and they are hunkered down.
I don't know about you, but, I always get that warm, fuzzy feeling every time you pull into the drive and I see the 5th wheel and then the farm house. It's that thing about coming home.
I 40 heading east in Arkansas, I am 1 mile south of Interstate. Mile marker 269 before you got the I-55 split to go north, so that gravel road to your right is ME!!!
Hi Joe my wife and I just watched the latest video on Northern seclusion. Glad you made it home in one piece. Sorry you didn't get a whole lot done but I'm sure you'll get it done sooner or later. Have a great day. Good luck be safe and God bless. Mike and Sherrill from Arizona

Well done Joe! Nothing like the solitude of a long drive alone to give you time to think about what's important in your life.

A suggestion. Go ahead and put the house up for sale let the buyer finish it the way they want. Just see what offers you get?
don bray that’s what I was thinking too!
@@lindamitchell-fox1926 👍
Selling a house, in the next 6 months is going to be brutal

One time I drove in a U-Haul from Brooklyn New York to Downtown LA, it was the worst three and a half days of my life, we slept in the truck
Liam Ryan could you imagine doing that in the 1930’s or 1940’s!!! With those slower vehicles
What a great country we live in! Glad you made it home safe.
