- View from the back of Amtrak Train 172 as it travels from Wilmington to Philadelphia on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor Taken from a GoPro camera mounted on the rear vestibule window. Hissing sound is from a leaky air line in the door mechanism.
Wow. Hammer down on that first stretch !!
That Wilmington run always had the best rail, too.
That part of the NEC is actually on 110mph instead of 125.
This section of the NEC is in trainz simulator 12
At 1:45 you can see two shells of incomplete Budd SPV-2000s, which were basically intended to be a cross between an RDC and a Metroliner.
Bear, DE (which we passed upon leaving Wilmington, DE) is AMTRAK's LTS storage facility; the shops there are also used by SEPTA (southern) and MARC (northern). AMTRAK's MOW (ROW maintenance) is at Bear, too. That's why the track and ROW are in such fantastic shape.
There’s actually three of them which you can see at 1:47 if you look closely
Those electric trains really move. You could blink and miss something...wow!
How much does it cost?
16:10 that’s my station Ridley Park
21:00 Juice Train!
Yes!
