For anyone doing this a piece of advice replace your boards and cover them in fiberglass resin that's mixed with 5% acetone so it's easier to work and take longer to cure because Thompson water seal only last one year fiberglass resin last about 15 years also don't forget your spray adhesive to tack your foam to your boards so it doesn't move around when you're trying to put on the new vinyl.

Thank you for your comment! The marine vinyl I got was from JoAnn Fabrics and it was 54" wide. It can be pricy but you want to get a little more than you need. You should measure your cushion the width, length and height of cushion. For example the cushion is 30"x44"x6"... the width would 30" plus 12"(2x the height) = 42". the length would be 44" plus 12"= 56". That is the size of the cushion, now you need to add at least 3" all around for the tacking. The size is now 48" x 62". For that cushion because the vinyl is 54" wide, that will cover the width of the cushion but the length will need at least 1 3/4 yards of fabric. Again, I would probably get a little more just to make sure it fits.
      Good luck with this project.
