Hi LuckyFriday, thank you very much. In fact, the largest nugget, found on Mike's Myers Fork Claims is over 1.5 ounce and it was found by a guest. So, finding a one-ounce monster is theoretically possible 🤪. Regarding the whisky for the hosts: They prefer the scottish Islay Whisky Ardbeg 😉. The Ardbeg Ten won the whisky tasting night clearly...

Yeah, this was extraordinary cool. First, we didn't find a lot and tried to find a good spot pretty hard. So it was really really cool, when the hard work payed. And the people there are great, we had a lot of fun!
😃😃😃👍 you have good eyes lol. The ibuprofen bottle was from my colleague, he had serious problems with his knees. In the morning, he sometimes had to climb backwards out of his camper. But as soon, as he had a shovel in his hand, his knees were better 😃😃💪🤠👍

There are a few places near me that people go to pan for gold and a large commercial mine near a place called crianlarich. Never tried it before but it looks addictive! Hey Paul, thank you so much!! Gold prospecting like we do it, is a fascinating hobby, it's definitively highly addictive. But it's also not everyone's thing, cause it's pretty exhausting and dirty and your chances of success are pretty low. So you have to love the task of searching, loving the gold is not enough. Yeah, we watch "Gold Rush" as well, we love it. Guess what we drink, when we watch it, haha. 2018 we were in Dawson and we have seen some dredge parts of Tony Beets bucket line dredge at the bank of the Yukon. And also his boats Jasmine B and Kid commando. I was in fact illegally on the Jasmine B fo a few seconds to take a foto 😇

@@ScottishGoldHunter To be honest, we have many many days, where we find only very little gold or even zero. In episode 2 you'll see, that we found way less than expected first. But we also enjoy this. For me, it's not just about the gold, it's also being outdoors with friends, working hard, exploring etc. For us non-professoinal miners with hand methods it's 95% of it. Only 5% is really jackpot, or even less. People talk only about this few percent. But it's the whole rest, which makes it worth, the good times outdoors...

@@TheLensSchwendi I know people who know him personally, and they all say he's a great guy. As dredging goes I learned from UA-cam. I watched 3 folk's who I really rate highly, and combined there styles, into my own. I'm pretty sure that I'm the uks most experienced dredger now. Wish I could have a go over pond on some big nugget rivers even thou, the biggest nuggets seem to be coming out this side of the pond. Cheers

@@TheLensSchwendi hello my friend, I always use a dry suit. Trilaminate cordura. Thease suits are very hard wearing and last a long time. It's all about the undersuit, a heavy one in winter and a light one for summer.. Wet suits get torn too easy and your still wet when you finish. We don't do fires, so being nice and warm at the end of each dive is fantastic, we dredge all year round butt This year is the first in a long time that I've not been out dredging. Heavy pans my friend Arrrrrrrr 🏴☠️⛏️⛏️⛏️👍💙

Thank you! Yes, this would be nice, but also very exhausting. In 6 months you likely have to prospect and change the spot many times. And it's also a question of conditions, sometimes the ground is frozen, sometimes there is not enough water, sometimes too much. So it's definitively not 6 months full of half ounce days 🤠

Immer gut gelaunt und manchmal ist er einfach allein tagelang in den Hügeln rumgestreift und ist am Abend mit einem Lächeln wieder im Camp aufgetaucht. Ich will auch unbedingt mal den oberen Teil des Bachlaufes erkunden, es gab weiter oben am Hügel mal noch eine kleine Goldmine mit unglaublich hohen Goldkonzentrationen, aber nur sehr kleinem Vorkommen. Die würde ich gern mal finden... Aber ist auch nicht ganz ungefährlich wegen den Elchen. Und ab und zu hats auch mal Bären, aber die hauen eher ab, wenn man genug Lärm macht...

Hey, that's cool, I live pretty close to the border to Germany. Yeah, we had a very good time in Chicken. There are also others working with dredges, but most of them larger than 4" and rather in the Southfork-Fortymile river. We were only in the small Mosquito Fork, we prefer highbanking or handsluices there due to the flexibility. I also worked with a 4" many years ago, and I loved it! The claim was not ours, we payed the claim owner for permission to prospect there, it's the Chicken Gold Camp. All the best to Indiana!
Yeah, this was veeeery cool! We can't wait to go back. Not only the gold, but also the people are awesome there, we have many friends in Alaska. And of course the landscape. Yes. One year, I had my metal detector with me and 2022 was an experienced prospector with minelab detectors there, but he didn't find a lot. Jack Wade creek may be an option for detecting. Hello brother 🤠, well on the Myers Fork claim of Chicken Gold Camp, they allow small dredges up to 2.5inch. You find the details here: www.chickengold.com/recreational_gold_mining.html
But Myers Fork is a pretty small creek, so you can't dive. Best months are July and August. June also works, but the ground is frozen at some places so July is better, because it thaws more.

The Islay fans often do quite well with a classy Bourbon, since the vats for those are charred to coal inside...

@@TheLensSchwendi I know people who know him personally, and they all say he's a great guy. As dredging goes I learned from UA-cam. I watched 3 folk's who I really rate highly, and combined there styles, into my own. I'm pretty sure that I'm the uks most experienced dredger now. Wish I could have a go over pond on some big nugget rivers even thou, the biggest nuggets seem to be coming out this side of the pond. Cheers

@@TheLensSchwendi hello my friend, I always use a dry suit. Trilaminate cordura. Thease suits are very hard wearing and last a long time. It's all about the undersuit, a heavy one in winter and a light one for summer.. Wet suits get torn too easy and your still wet when you finish. We don't do fires, so being nice and warm at the end of each dive is fantastic, we dredge all year round butt This year is the first in a long time that I've not been out dredging. Thank you! Yes, this would be nice, but also very exhausting. In 6 months you likely have to prospect and change the spot many times. And it's also a question of conditions, sometimes the ground is frozen, sometimes there is not enough water, sometimes too much. So it's definitively not 6 months full of half ounce days 🤠

Immer gut gelaunt und manchmal ist er einfach allein tagelang in den Hügeln rumgestreift und ist am Abend mit einem Lächeln wieder im Camp aufgetaucht. Ich will auch unbedingt mal den oberen Teil des Bachlaufes erkunden, es gab weiter oben am Hügel mal noch eine kleine Goldmine mit unglaublich hohen Goldkonzentrationen, aber nur sehr kleinem Vorkommen. Die würde ich gern mal finden... Aber ist auch nicht ganz ungefährlich wegen den Elchen. Und ab und zu hats auch mal Bären, aber die hauen eher ab, wenn man genug Lärm macht...

Hey, that's cool, I live pretty close to the border to Germany. Yeah, we had a very good time in Chicken. There are also others working with dredges, but most of them larger than 4" and rather in the Southfork-Fortymile river. We were only in the small Mosquito Fork, we prefer highbanking or handsluices there due to the flexibility. I also worked with a 4" many years ago, and I loved it! The claim was not ours, we payed the claim owner for permission to prospect there, it's the Chicken Gold Camp. All the best to Indiana!

Yes. One year, I had my metal detector with me and 2022 was an experienced prospector with minelab detectors there, but he didn't find a lot. Jack Wade creek may be an option for detecting. Hello brother 🤠, well on the Myers Fork claim of Chicken Gold Camp, they allow small dredges up to 2.5inch. You find the details here:

But Myers Fork is a pretty small creek, so you can't dive. Best months are July and August. June also works, but the ground is frozen at some places so July is better, because it thaws more.
