Such a mentality is because of poverty. even for us Kenyans, as long as someone thinks you look rich they will try and get more from you. so naturally, they assume anyone coming from abroad is just rich and they have money to spare.
Congratulations! Love your channel and all the real knowledge and experiences you share. It is encouraging for those like me who have been to the Motherland and look forward to 'returning' for the long-term! Peace and Blessings!
@Residential Tourists, there’s a place called Kizingo not far from Mombasa that has completely different weather. It’s so much cooler than Mombasa yet very close. They have a nice golf course there with beautiful villas and restaurant. It will be worth your visit!
As being a Black American married to an Ethiopian and spending much time there. I give with my wife away to those less fortunate about $10 or more a day. As a person who retired early in life and live on a fixed income. It’s a blessing to bless those on the continent and be a helping hand to our people. It’s a shame when we come to the continent and use our people on the continent.
What kills me is that we as Black Americans don’t mean giving $1 or $2 to the homeless/ less fortunate here. But we go to Africa and find it hard to give to our people who are less fortunate on the continent. “ it’s Mind Blowing”
Greetings Residential Tourists, great conversation. As an elder, I am under the mindset that Africa continues continue to be colonized by the colonizer using different methods with the same results. Kenya is a colony of Britain. Also, the Chinese, Indians, and Arabs are working their way in as a colonizing entity. We need to stop mentioning the colonizers names when referring to our historical landmarks on the continent of Africa. The colonial mindset is hard to shake it seems. At my age, I will only visit countries on the continent of Africa as Africa is still in a colonized state. I will remain in the U.S. with the NOI and fight it out here for so called independence. Thanks for sharing Team FOI….
I am 75 years old. I moved to Tanzania a year and a half ago. True, I find that Africans are the only ones who do not know their rich biblical history as the children of God...that Africa is the land of milk and honey...(silver, gold, diamonds, uranium, cobalt, oil..just naming a few!) & it is scientifically proven to be the cradle of all civilization. I educate my people as much as possible.. they thought the USA was the promised land.. I educate them on that, too. Africa is so much better! We have no epidemic of Alzheimers, Covid, RSV, or Influenza! Our fruit and vegetables are organic...all beef, lamb, and goat are grass fed...is grass fed beef..meat also. Chickens are cage free! Fish and sea food is fresh from the beautiful Indian Ocean! My people never cease to amaze me.. they are literally brilliant.. the can build beautiful furniture, buildings and houses...beautifully landscaped gardens...they can repair anything...musicians...singers...all Africans dance (even from the USA)...men (young ones too) out number the women in the churches...my tailor only needs a picture of the dresses I want made and she makes it perfectly without a pattern...what is most beautiful of all is the honor and respect they give to us elders. We have celebrity status here! There are no nursing homes here..I could go on and on about my beautiful homeland and my beautiful people! I have no desire to return to stay in the USA. I visit the USA for a few weeks, and come back home to Tanzania. ♥️🙏🏿
Greetings Muhammads. I miss the live as usual but was really glad I could catch the replay. Let me say we must come to the full realization that our brothers and sistas born on the Continent-are having their eyes open. And when they help us at Airports they 'expect' a gratuity. Simple as that. They're like 'sky caps' in airports in America. Also the Phenomenon of paying the help. I never had a house keeper and don't intend on having one when I get home. But that being said - granted we must realize they know we can pay more. But we also know we don't want to be an ATM - so if I may - why not pay them their normal fee - and on the side - set asside a severance if you will - that would equal what they normally earn and when combined to what you really want to pay them you just don't tell them for awhile. And on the day of separation give them the 'put aside' as a severance. Just a thought. Peace unto you guys.
Do they do this to the white man and Chinese. We have to learn to respect and treat each other the way we would want to be treated. We are the most Godly people in the world let us live it in our daily lives with each other.
I think it is the Hippo skin which use to be used to make whips. Kiboko means Hippo and also means whip, therefore Kibokoni would mean the place of, or for, Kiboko.
I am really curious about whether there was anything else other than the slave trade and colonialism that caused Africa to regress. I am wondering if it was the supposed drying up of the Sahara.
Thank you for outstanding videos. We enjoy them. Blessings.
