I would like to mention a few recommendations from my end to all who are interested.
1. "A Good Return: Biblical Principles for Work, Wealth and Wisdom" by John Lennox
This is an excellent book I've read which really helped me in my personal spiritual growth. It gave me a rich and a renewed perspective on work and it's place in the Christian's life. It's easy to get burnt-out in our workplace, but truly it is a remarkable source of comfort to know that the Lord Jesus Christ deeply cares about our work and He wants us to be prepared in the light of eternity.
2. "Person of Interest: Why Jesus Still Matters in a World That Rejects the Bible" by J. Warner Wallace
This is one of the best books I've read last year, it has a very comprehensive and yet a great storyline of understanding how Jesus Christ came in history in the fullness of time, how historically significant He is and how He still matters today as History's Greatest Person of Interest. I highly recommend this book to all who haven't read it before. It will definitely strengthen your faith in Christ.
3. "Our Lord Prays for His Own: Thoughts on John 17" by Marcus Rainsford
John 17 is one of the greatest and deepest portions in the Scriptures. If anyone wants to truly know the Lord Jesus Christ and understand His most beautiful prayer to God the Father, this is one of the best books you can ever read. One important quality in this classic I enjoyed greatly is the fact that this book is very devotional in nature and therefore helps in not only gaining some head knowledge, but more importantly, it helps in personally knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour.
4. "Gems from Genesis" by Oswald Chambers
This is a book which really helped me to devotionally consider certain remarkable doctrinal truths of the book of Genesis. It's easy to understand and it has excellent points concerning Christ, as He is mightily and marvelously magnified in His most precious Word.
