  • If you own a Ferrari or any other high-end car dating back to 2010, or even earlier, you’re probably familiar with the frustrating issue of sticky buttons caused by age and heat. After some experimentation, I discovered a method to clean off the deteriorating rubber coating and apply a clear coat to permanently solve the problem. Say goodbye to sticky buttons and restore your car's interior to its original pristine condition!

Nice car. I did notice it seems to smoke a bit, when first starting. That can mean nothing or it can mean an issues, such as, the intake valve guide seals are worn. To be on the safe side, you might want to have the intake valves inspected - by taking a peak with a bore scope camera down the intake manifold or via the spark plug. If the valve guide seals are indeed leaking you’ll often see a build up of carbon on just the intake valves. Letting this carbon accumulate, over time, can result in a burnt valve, which can also ruin the valve seat and possibly the head. It may be nothing to worry about and a common trait of these engines. Out of curiosity, I checked a few other UA-cam videos of 458s and none of them had startup smoking. Again, hopefully it’s a nothing - but I mention it since this kind of issue can be expensive to fix with such an exotic car. Cheers.
