Emirates just started flying the A380-800 from Dubai-Riyadh-Dubai route this month April/2024

The A380 will replace the 777-300ER. The swap will provide around 40% more seats for sale per departure this summer (including first and business), enabling it to capitalize on peak season demand.

Nice video, but I never knew that riyadh airport t2 has bus gate and plus I can’t find it in the departure hall
They do give soo good service. IFE and meals are given even on a 1hr and 40min flight.

Might be the shortest sector right now. But i believe previously EK and maybe QR would schedule A380 (for a few flights only) DXB-DOH-DXB.
Hey , emirates before used to fly the A380 to Muscat long time ago it was like 40 min flight , that would be nice to see the qatar airways to fly the A380 from doh ✈️✈️
@@airtravelaviation491 Thanks for the reply. Yes you are correct it was Muscat. Aviation is subject to change so, assuming things settle down, we might again see Emirates operating its A380 to Muscat.

Isn’t it a big loss for emirates to fly few pax with a jumbo jet aircraft??…I didn’t quite get it…
They usually send a lot of cargo to this routes and on the way back from Riyadh to dubai it was full
It is not correct that this route is the shortest for the Emirates A380.
the flight as mostly empty i dont know who is making route operations in emirates if u are designating empty A380 to an shortest route it is considered insane as A380 operation cost a lot it will degrade the profits margin of emirates, A380 should be designated to busiest routes where emirates operates on full flight destinations include europe americas far east destinations.
Lots of empty A380s now being operated owing to DXB issues. In some cases EK flying A380 from DWC to DXB !
At least they can reduce the price at last moment. But no they don't do it. Hence empty giants take off

What a waste of time, money and resources by Emirates to fly an empty plane. They could have used that aircraft on the Montreal Dubai route which is always full of passengers

Incorrect....Dubai-Muscat.....DUbai-Mumbai....Dubai-Doha....Dubai-Bahrain.....A380 flights are much shorter.
there is no a380 running Dubai to Bahrain, Dubai to Doha, Dubai Muscat , may be Dubai to Mumbai but not a shortest distance, from Dubai to Riyadh it takes less than one hour distance.
