Wanting to move out sometimes this year with my fiance, this will be my first time EVERRRRRR. I knew i would need a roommate because, rent is expensive where I live, and even if I did make an immaculate amount of money, my parents would literally never cosign. They're Hispanic and oml, they thought the idea of me getting my own car was blasphemy. Anyways, I'm really nervous, the cheaper end of rent here is 1.6k which I know for a lot of places is really good, but not for a minimum wage worker of $12/hour, but I am really tired of being under my parents control, I'm 22 and have a curfew of 9:00, even on weekends🙃, also I am not allowed to go to bars with friends, or spend the night anywhere else other than my parents. So yes, I think it's time lol
@@alesandramorales6148 so exciting!!! Still searching for the right place here, almost snagged a beautiful apartment but missed out! I hope all goes well for you!!
I'm 19, almost 20 in a few months, I know It's not exactly the same, but my parents are also Hispanic. I have so much trouble communicating with my mom about these subjects. She doesn't like letting me go out even when I do all my chores. Yes, I live under her roof, and I know it's her rule, but sometimes I think she's scared to let me grow up. I still get my phone taken away and I get grounded. She switches curfews often, but it's gone from 7pm to 10pm to 11 pm and back to 7pm. I don't do drugs or drink and I am a pretty calm daughter. I'm not so sure why Hispanic parents act this way, but it does get draining. I want to move out, but it's a tough decision since I am still in college. I'm considering taking a break from school and saving for an apartment. I just wanted to share a bit of my situation for advice and to let others know that they're not alone.
@@suryperez8025 I totally get it, my mom is the same. Only recently did she let loose on me a bit. I am also a full time student, so I get the stress behind it all, my mentality is that. Will it be hard? Absolutely. Stressful? Most likely. But will it be YOUR life to control? 100%. And that to me is worth the weight of responsibility. Start little though, I bought my own phone and got on my own phone plan first, my parents ended up being fine with it, I’m now in the process of getting my own car (finally). Then I move out. Nothing under their name, nothing to hold me back. It sounds terrible but I feel that you have make sure all your t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted. Become as independent as you can so that when you leave they can’t use something against you.
I felt that because I’m 22 and currently residing in my mom’s living room. She is also Hispanic and has pretty strict rules as well. I’m still currently in school but it’s starting to get to the point where I desperately need my own space and would like to just be more independent. It makes it so much more difficult when you live in California when it’s so much more expensive. Right now everything is feeling impossible but I know in the future I’ll be able to move out eventually.
One thing I really enjoy about having friends in their 20s is stuff like this. We're all learning things together! Definitely saving this for when I graduate in December!
This is a great video, very informative. I’m an apartment locator for Texas, which mean we do all the hard work of searching for an apartment for you, for FREE! Apartment locators are compensated by the properties. See if your city offers them as a resource for your next move!
That’s why u buy all things u need before u move out so u don’t have to buy everything or worrying about all the that. that’s what I’m doing while I’m living with my mom atm don’t waste your money on stupid stuff invest in your future.
Proof of income is so difficult when getting an apartment especially wirh paystubs showing 3x the rent. I'm happy i found someone to help me create paystubs and bank statements
Hi Hannah, I liked your video. Very informative for somebody who is looking for an apartment. BTW I just made a copy of your apartment searching spreadsheet. Really helpful
Most places will require you to pay more going in things like a higher security deposit more fees. (It sucks I know) You could also save enough to be able to pay for the full year or however long your gonna be there or you could ask around your family more for a co-signer. And for sure stable job is more than necessary.
Hey I really need to move out of my family's place and wanted to know if I should start with a apartment, do you have to have your parents help with paying or can that be skipped?
Thank you so much for this great video! I help people get approvals for apts in just a few days. Please let me know if you would be interested in doing a collaboration.

the layout of this video is very good for people who plan on moving . Making a list of qualities you want in your apartment is very strategic .

the only tine u need a co-signer is bc if you’re credit
Im 19 and moving to my first apartment (with a roommate because money) in two days just found this I'm still freaking out lol
Love watching your vlogs!!! It is a crime to rewatch your vlogs so many times? Heheheh
what if your parents cant sign for you? My dad is unemployed and my mom makes $100 more every 2 weeks than me (I make $600 every 2 weeks)

Credit and credit history is also a factor and if you can ask a friend if they would be willing
See if another family member can, doesn’t have to be a parent. There are also companies that offer to do it for a fee
My boyfriend and I just got an apartment in Germantown! All the fees these places add on is crazy
Awesome video.... Very informative ❤

Hello Hannah, i'm 6ft and in need of a roomate.
What the f does your height have to do with anything 😂???????????????????????????????????????????¿¿¿
The honest truth is that Cyber credible really came through with paystubs for my apartment he's a life saver thanks
Omg Cyber Credible also provided paystubs which i used to proof 3x the rent and I got the apartment
On Twitter I found his number and texted directly
I got bank statement and Paystub from Cyber Credible too for my loan. I'm just glad he could help me get approved because it's been weeks trying.
