I so appreciate Erwin Lutzer’s calm, straightforward way of speaking the truth. I’m currently reading his book “ The Eclipse of God” ( I’ve just about used up one yellow highlighter already ). Now, how do I get my New England pastor and elders to listen to this video interview??
Excellent, been trying to tell pastors they need to speak, as we are looking to them for leadership & how to navigate culture. Silence is deafening. I dont agree with pastor Lutzer about not mentioning names of false teachers, let people figure it out. NO! The pastors job is to protect his sheep from the wolves. Most do not do the work to understand who the wolves are let alone speak about them. This is what bothers me about the church. Lack of transparency, must preserve unity. What if that wolf was abusing kids? You speak! Well, he is abusing Gods word & should be dealt with. Jesus doesnt give pastors or the 7 churches a pass in revelation. Neither should we. Needs to come from other pastors.
There is no biblical injunction that says pastors cannot speak to political issues. On the contrary, the role of the pastor is to give guidance to all areas of life. It's sad to me that we've drawn a line when it comes to politics as though it's a no go zone. This is a modern view. Read church history and see pastors everywhere helping their people navigate political, social, and cultural waters.
Thank you, pastor Lutzer. Your explanations are so helpful. Blessings 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you to our spiritual leaders for sharing the truth!
May God increase your tribe!
Great interview. Thanks.
