The atmosphere in this game is amazing. Really an epitome of the '90s; very happy and light, full of positive energy, lots of funny exaggerated stereotypes. The artwork is very expressive and tasteful, and is far superior to the other editions of Rayman, if I may say so.

What a beautifully designed game, perfect hilarious graphics, brilliant sound and music, short tricky levels where your timing had to be immaculate. The very definition of a fun platformer. I played the arse out of Rayman and loved every minute but could never get past that flipping scorpion !!

I remember this being so f'in hard back in 1998-1999 when I played this. Me, my brother and my friend just couldn't get all the cages in order to proceed to the last levels. Watching back to this as an adult, the game seems super punishing and unforgiving :D And the athmosphere and art style are of course unbelievable. This is an absolute gem of a game!

If it isn't the trumpets Rayman needs to use to go up the slippery platforms that get smaller with every jump, it's the small slippery platforms you have to use to get across a huge bottomless pit and since Rayman keeps his momentum while on said platforms I used to ragequit many times back then (and this was before I chose another level only to find out that hanging onto ledges was a powerup in the game).
I thought this series was only a little over a decade old until today this gives me chills thinking of how it's older than some of my teachers and friends but friends don't really count you know what I mean

Despite Rayman 3 being my favorite out of the entire Rayman-franchise, it was this game that introduced me to the character of Rayman, and it still holds a special place in my heart! :D
The music and the art work on this game is what brings out the memories, being at home during the winter time cozy and playing on the floor laying down playing off the PlayStation PsOne with the portable screen. Great times. Let’s not forget all the crash games. Crash bash!
I have this playing while I do something else, but when I glance over every so often, I see the most beautiful art I've witnessed in a side-scrolling platformer game. And the audio is incredible: the music and atmospheric sounds are excellent; the sound effects are unique but do not get annoying. Each area of the game has a different feel. I played Nintendo in the 90s and 00s, so I did not get to experience much PlayStation. I must say, had I played this game, this may have quickly become my favorite platformer of that era. (My favorite is Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3 otherwise.)
after completing Mr stones peaks my friend was greatful for a long time as he totally couldn't do it with the hair flying. This game rules and the soundtrack was so unique which goes so well and randomly with the levels
