I have nothing to do with chakkars in my style of dance ( we have Bhramaris, done on toes), but I just couldn't stop this video. And am happy to say, I tried and got them right too! Ps. You are beautiful!

I've watched your video for the first time I've actually jotted down all the points! It's so good to see people sharing such technical things on a public platform usually classical dancer don't share they techniques to always stay unique.
Fantastic analysis of the chhakar!! I started taking Kathak at age 42, I got serious with trying to learn the spin around age 53. I have analyzed and analyzed to get it correct. This made it so succinct. Many years later… I’m still working on it but really appreciate this break down!
This is one of the best videos of teaching what to do before starting to take the first spin. Great analysis. Thank you. Started learning Kathak at 50, spins are the hardest part.
Hey! I'm a third year Kathak dancer, and this really helped me out! My teacher is really nice, but you are just amazing!!! I wish you would also be my teacher!
You teach so well thank you. I am 53 always had a love for this art and getting to learn now through UA-cam tube. Can you do a tutorial on hand movement also please.
