Before you try chakkars, please make sure you have no sharp cornered furniture around dance area. Be safe.
Then balance your body weight on both legs. Then centre it on your left leg by shifting it and get a balance first. Now you take small steps to go round. Eyes are the last to go and first to return. Keep going ast a speed you can manage.
Some balance excersise from yoga make help you to start off.
Hope this works.
