Y'all should think of the US, as 50 individual countries, united under one flag. That way can all live where and how we want, but still come together as Americans, when we need to.

If you visit McAdenville which is also called “Christmas Town USA” be ready to SIT in traffic jams up to at least 2 hrs. just to get a look at the lights. You can also park your car and WALK the town, go into shops & get goodies to eat & drink like Hot Chocolate & Hot Apple Cider. Man it was CROWDED in the late 1970s-80s I can ONLY IMAGINE the crowds that jam up the streets now. Oh and McAdenville is in NC, NOT SC just in case you get the 2 Carolinas mixed up. Which we don’t want to do! 🤣 ✌🏻

"One ring to rule them all." If there was one rule for every state, then there would be no where to escape to when those rulers become corrupt! Everything needs to decentralized, a/k/a return to full Constitutional Republic! Stay free!!!

Those are all small lakes to me! I grew up in Michigan, the Great Lakes state. If you want big lakes, find a video about Michigan, which is made up of 2 huge peninsulas surrounded by 4 of the 5 Great Lakes. There are also smaller lakes all throughout the Lower Peninsula (the one shaped like a mitten), while the Upper Peninsula is more wild, rocky, and forested. I grew up boating on Lake St Claire (between Lake Huron and Detroit), which is too small to be counted as a great lake, but from the middle you cannot see any of the shores!

I’ve lived in South Carolina my whole life and would never think of leaving. I live in the Upstate area on the lake. It’s about 10 minutes from Clemson SC. Charleston is gorgeous but it does have some pretty bad storms. As for as Myrtle Beach, it’s the last place I’d want to live. It’s way too touristy. South Carolina is a beautiful state and worth a visit.

Those trees are live oaks. Lot of them here on the SC coast where I live but they are all over in the deep south. I have another house on the AL Gulf and they are really everywhere there our neighborhood is even named after them. We have streets there and here where I live that its like driving thru a tunnel that are covered with those live oaks and the Spanish moss hanging from them. That is our state flag when you were seeing on the map the blue with a white palm and crescent. So many people moving here. Taxes lower, cheaper to live, nice weather, more business friendly than states like NY people are coming here from. It is really hot and humid in the summer though. We get our share of tornados and hurricanes but its been a while since anything to serious.

You mentioned Forest Gump. Ironically, they actually filmed a part of Forest Gump in Charleston quite near that big tree, if I'm not mistaken. Shaun, that Scotish UA-camr was there not too long ago, and made mention of it. He also said that the bench Forest Gump was sitting on was actually just a movie prop and not actually a real bench, so-to-speak.

The U.S. (including Alaska) is 125% the geographic size of all of Europe. Europe is 42 different countries. Each country in Europe would have to be 25% larger to equal the size of a U.S. state on average. Also, yes South Carolina is very nice.

I lived in Myrtle Beach for 20 years and loved it! This is a tourist town with no major business, so costs were much cheaper than other states. As a teacher and single mom, I could I could easily afford to build a brand new house for my family and live well. I highly recommend it for young people just starting out.

    Commenting for the algorithm.
We are a diverse union. States have the rights to make their own laws as long as they follow the federal laws.

When he talked about the state of South Carolina having these 4 distinct regions he's talking about land features. We have 4 very different types of land features within the state of South Carolina. So the mountain region is the land features our mountains and foothills and valleys things like that. The Pee Dee region is where it's just above sea level it's very close to the water levels. So when he says region he's not talking about a division of different states, or laws within the state of South Carolina he is talking about distict geographical feature differences within the state as a whole. Hope that helps

We have the ocean and then there’s a intracoastal from Miami all the way north and there’s homes there’s restaurants those bars so you can take your boat up and down the coast or just go for a half hour ride and go to dinner or go to lunch go have a drink from your boat.

I reside in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
I try to help you gentlemen out as much as possible, I watch as many videos as I can, and sit through commercials to help as well.
I just can't watch a 20+ minute commercial that UA-cam pops up sometimes, I'll watch those for a bit then skip.
And yes it's a black oak, this particular tree is located in Angel Oak Park on Johns Island near Charleston, South Carolina.
It is called 'Angel Oak", it's estimated to be between 400 to 500 years old.
The only way to know for sure is to cut it down and count the rings, that's not going to happen.
Unless it's an act of God that takes it out, as Oaks are protected, persons found to have cut down a live Oak is subject to a $500.00 fine and/or 30 days in jail.
An Oak tree must be validated as deceased (certified dead, thus technically it gets a death certificate) before it can be cut down.
100% of all of South Carolina beaches are public, while Debordieu (pronounced Deb or due) is a private gated community, the beach itself is not private.
But in order to access you have to access from the north or south side of the beach itself.
We have the Waccamaw River (Indian name given) which is part of the intra-coastal waterway, one of the longest waterways in the nation, it was once a series of rivers,
streams, backwater etc, until the 1950's when the U.S Corp of Engineers widened it so that larger boats and even barges could travel.
There are numerous locations for the public to access for boating free of charge.
Many of the boatdocks are rented by private owners, to persons who purchase a boat slip, basically a rent to dock their boat, if they don't wish to pull it out of the water,
or in the event they wish to live on the boat.

I know you do Canada videos as well … did you know that there is a connection between the Province of Alberta & the Carolinas? In the late 1870s when surveyors were mapping out the Canadian West Canada’s Governor General (Viceroy of Queen Victoria) wanted one district named for his wife, HRH Princess Louise Caroline Alberta … problem: there already was a Louisiana and the Carolinas in the USA so he used his wife’s 3rd name Alberta to name the district … this eventually was expanded to become the Province of Alberta and almost as big as Texas

The Federal government has basic laws that pertain to all states. But it wouldn't be practical for the US to be one state with one law because all the states are different geographically, traditionally, economically, etc. An example would be building codes. They are different in each state because water tables, soil composition, and weather conditions are different and require different laws regarding building methods to maintain safety standards.

The reason we have 50 states as we have 50 governors some states are conservative. Some states are liberal some states have zero tax like Florida, where I live in New York and California have 13% tax on top of sales tax which is 7% and government tax, which is 30% so I’m Florida you get none of that you just pay the government.

Do you understand that the United States could fit your country inside it's borders over 4 times? (Just saying Mr. "One law!" brother.) That's like saying you think Europe should have one law, at least the Northern 1/4 of Africa - One law, the remaining African 1/2 (middle portion) One law. then the lower 1/2 of what's left over 'one law'... It's just not that realistic, man. It would be simpler, yes, but too may ppl would be pissed off w/ too many laws restricting rights, or too many w/ not enough laws restricting rights, etc...

There’s only one Law in the country, the federal laws for every state it doesn’t change what changes in the states, taxes, social services, schooling you have more control on the local level. If it’s all run by the government and the schools go bad you can’t do anything if the schools go bad you can do it by town by district by state you can do it all different levels to fix it with a state and the state is an experiment we have 50 states that do things a little different, and whoever has the best results other sates copy.

The country is too big for a single set of laws . We are in the same country with people a continent and half a world a way, have different cultural, ethnic and religious histories and different priorities. However, the U.S Constitution protects your fundamental rights everywhere. It is the supreme law of all the land. The states have their own constitution and are responsible for schools, hospitals, voting, and basic criminal law. It works pretty well.
