The first avatar game was better. You actually chose either human or Navi and was allowed to explore or customize your character. On top of it being like an Rpg with a bit of open world. This is just a far cry game with an Avatar movie skin all over it, and not even a good one.
So your only complaint is that you can't choose sides (which I understand why) and that's what makes the old game better than the new one 😂? Because the recent one has better exploration and better customization than the previous one. Now the Far Cry comparison is getting old y'all are only saying it because it's in first person. @@Holyinductor Again, I would HIGHLY recommend playing the 360 game as you can do just that: you can have your own Avatar (or human depending on which side you choose) with your own Mountain Banshee that you can fly, and even command troops on what objectives to take around Pandora like a commander. It was actually a pretty advanced game for it's time and still worth playing, with a lot of the mechanics you're talking about wanting from a game like this

Did anyone get to play the other Avatar game? it lets you choose which side you got to be on and if you didn't like what your choice you got a choice further down to change sides. It also had a neat little mini game in which your XP would also be credits for a risk style campaign map where you fought to take over territory of the moon.
Dude playing a human in this game would be amazing, it would be like a survival horror type deal. Maybe like Metro but in this universe. Be so much more fun then this game.
After being spammed with adds for the Frontiers over and over again with its cringey polish dubbing I remembered that game. I was playing it during college on my shitty laptop, so the performance were not that good and thought that the game was meh, okay, but nothing great. Now I tried it again on my modern rig, so performance was not an issue anymore, and sweet Monkey Jesus the Vampire Hunter, I didnt remember this game to be as good as it was. Like compared to the AAA shit we get now it was really fun. It kinda boggles my brain why didnt they re-release this game on modern platforms with the premiere of the new movie.

What is it with Ubisoft and Gear based leveling systems? They have tried to cram it in practically every game they have made since the first Tom Clancy's The Division game. And except for, ironically enough, The Division's games, no of the game they've put it in have been better for it. In most cases it has made the game worse. They had to remove it from Ghost Recon Breakpoint over the backlash it received for including it.
Avatar 2 made me pro xenophobia, so I can imagine this game just making me more excited to kill xeno skum in W40k: Space Marine 2, as I currently play W40k: Darktide & Boltgun.

Probably because the assault rifle and shotgun are the close range DPS weapons. You don't really need melee weapons when all RDA enemies not using AMP suits die from one melee attack
Granted I’m only 6 hours into this game but right now I am really enjoying it. The world is stunning, and beautiful exploring is fun. Traversing the word is also very fun. The story fits the movie subject. Humans trying to take over nothing wrong with that. Yes I already see the typical Ubisoft stuff in it taking out bases, fetching things ect But right now it is a hell of a lot better than Far Cry Primal. That game was boring to me. I like the upgrading system, food system and the battle system is fun. Everyone who’s just taking Griffins word for it and never played it but talking crap. Get it on sale. It might surprise you. @Griffin worst game of 2023? Did you not play Red Fall? Or any of the other bad games? If not smart lol.
I think this game felt like a breath of fresh air after playing Far Cry 6 and especially Starfield. Im in it for exploring a beautiful, detailed world and I feel like ive gotten that so far. The story I couldn't care less about though lol

Visuals, sounds and the interactive world is on point in my opinion. There are a lot of repeating activities and it can feel dragged out to some, but I get that some people enjoy that kind of gameplay too.

As an actual fan of the Avatar movies, this game is not even good as a companion piece to those movies at all. Its the most bare bones, garbage trash that only a developer like Ubisoft can make with a big budget, and its laughable how much better the 2009 game is from a story standpoint and also a world building standpoint; which this game fails at both.

But if I had to rate uniqueness and how good the game is, 5/6 if you aren't a fan of either avatar or far cry, 7-8 if you are. Or absolutely skip the game if you don't like the ubisoft formula. I waited for a deep sale, just picked the ultimate for 20 euros, I got my money's worth
Well I liked it! Looks amazing, great to play and explore the map. I know a lot of people are tapped out on Ubisofts formula, but if you play one just once every couple years they’re great. My last one was Far Cry 4, which I also loved. Avatar isn’t as focused and has some poor systems, but what works, really works.
It's crazy that within just a couple of console gens, gaming has become absolute bullshit. I started in 1987 on NES and right up until about 2011, it was easily my favorite hobby. Then things started getting bad with the PS4 gen and it's only gotten worse.
Things got worse because companies decided that pushing unfinished, mediocre at best games, filled with micro transactions and unplayable bugs was ok to do. Lot of good games these past few years thankfully, but unfortunately these issues are really hurting a lot of games coming out these days

I will say they should have let us be on the human side as the Navi, would have been far more interesting both gameplay and story perspective. But besides that, personally as someone who enjoys the Far cry slop formula, I’ve personally been enjoying it, but I can see why people ain’t enjoying it. The gear system is super grinding especially near the higher levels, and the glitches are very annoying

Avatar for me is about the world-building. This game does an amazing job at remaining faithful to the world of Pandora and portraying its beauty and wonder, along with its detailed eclogy and complexity.. The story has always been secondary to these things in Avatar for me. As for the gameplay, it is nothing revolutionary but still fun enough to keep me entertain me while I marvel at the majesty of Pandora.
Been playin for the last weekend and it's a blast of a game. The fact that you can't play a game without getting politically triggered seems like a you problem mate. There is games like Wolfenstein New Order that would make you definitely loose your mind. You complain that the game is not optimised and it crashes on your console? Seems like a problem with your hardware cus on my mid tier desktop running on a 6700-XT the gameplay has never stuttered let alone crashed and I play without frame gen. The glitches you show also do not happen on my device, maybe try updating the game? When I shoot the RDA mechs they do not disappear like you showed. Your rifle aiming issues sound like a controller related problem like buggy bluetooth. I don't know why you call the game buggy and broken because I haven't encountered a single issue that you mentioned. I found the game to be quite polished and optimised when it comes to FPS performance. Plus I am not sure why you kept mentioning Far Cry like I never played it but my friend that has played it said it was fun. Also the game is not selling for 70 bucks, currently you can buy it for 42.6€ on Epic games with the winter discount which is what I did. If you provided your negative opinion of the game with issues that other players are also encountering then it would be easier to understand but I have not encountered the issues you showed so try updating the game or your drivers.

Personally it’s a decent game, the story is weak however the world is definitely great to explore and do think it’s what will mostly carry this game, weapons are bland and usually I just stick to one and the customization is meh, it’s not a ground breaking game however I felt decently satisfied also I played on the XSX and encountered no bugs or crashes so that’s probably based from user to user
I think it depends on how you look at it. Like, the game looks great, mostly plays functionally, is well-acted, has plenty of content, etc. There are objectively good qualities to it. But then it just becomes, how much credit do we give that when they take all of those strengths and give us crap with it?

This is funny because I'm playing AC Origins right now, and it is grindy, but in a way that's kinda fun and a bit more natural. It got worse and worse with Odyssey and Valhalla though.
i honestly really loved odyssey more than orgins. it was grindy i had about 200 hours at 87% completion. Odyssey in my opinion is one of the best games ive ever played. i love greek mythology but the game play the grind the graphics the weapons the armor the dlcs were so much fun so jam packed i never wanted to stop. i eventually did cause i also played nms at the time and im a space slut and sadly i played on stadia so i dont even have access to it anymore without restarting on xbox which i wont do till i can

This game is the final boss of the Ubisoft open world formula. They've been pushing this same formula for over a decade by just making it more and more bloated rather than innovate it.
Worse; they've actively gone backwards. "Innovation" like leveled gear and level-locking areas is worse than just doing nothing. I would actually have been happier if they kept making Far Cry 3 and 4 over again, with slight variations, in new locations.
I'm very attempted to box up my PS5 and just bin it off to my nearest Gameshop UK-equivalent C-EX (Computer Exchange), cutting off my losses. Modern gaming is just so boring. In far cry 3 the levelling up made sense because you started the game as nothing and then gradually. As you progressed you got more skilled as you unlocked the skills and perks in 3 skill trees towards the halfway mark of game and Near the end you Feel Really Powerful and for takeing out bases without setting off the alarm you’d get an XP boost and the radio towers doing them unfogged the map but gave you free weapons this is what they should’ve done with frontiers of Pandora.

That Avatar game for Xbox 360 was really good, Ubisoft had a chance to make a better version of it and decided to make another Far Cry, Ubisoft really sucks.
I will never understand the mainstream obsession with Avatar. The whole IP feels like it was created by an AI. There's literally *nothing* interesting about it. The whole concept is like somebody played mad libs with the story from Dances With Wolves, but made everything dumb and mostly meaningless. Like, the first movie, the humans are literally after "unobtanium", like, really? Nobody thought calling a fictional element "Unobtanium" was a massive red-flag for the lack of creativity that engulfs this entire stupid franchise? Or did JC really think he "stumbled onto" a brilliant idea? Dude has spent too much time in his damn submarines. Pretty sure the only person on earth who really wanted this game was James Cameron, so he can jerk himself off to his weird, blue cat-people and the "world" he "created". Christ, at least Far Cry Primal was a change of pace for Ubisoft and could be pretty brutal and an intense survival game at times. This Avatar game seems way more like Far Cry 6 in terms of how it's laid out. It's been a while since I played Primal, but I do remember being far more into that game than I expected to be. I can't get over how you have to "caress" fruit before you pick it in this Avatar crap, and "thank nature" or whatever when you kill an animal or something. Even the open world from FC Primal was way more interesting than "Pandora". Pandora in this game is like a needlessly stretched out, and less creative version of Primal's map, but with the color palette of FC New Dawn. Fuck this game, and fuck Avatar. This is worse than regular, modern Ubisoft, because it's modern Ubisoft with input from Disney and James Cameron (who seems to value Avatar more than any of the properly inventive franchises he's created). No idea how he plans on trying to make another 5 of these damn movies. They're too bland, expensive, and just lacking in any kind of creativity. The first movie sucked, the 2nd was worse, and this game seems to add absolutely nothing, and they've still apparently got multiple more movies planned. That's the whole thing with Avatar, they act like it's some massive, deep world, but the entire thing is so poorly thought out that it's just ridiculous.
There is something funny about an anti capitalist message in a Ubisoft game at full priced with one of the worst cosmetic shops ever where everything looks the same. This would be so primed for a classic FarCry style narrative where the bad guy has a point and have a more 'caught between two worlds' approach. I'm thinking a more refined and expanded version of the old 360 Avatar game that let you pick sides.
This game is by far the worst game I have ever played in my life. It ranks there with anthem as the worst piece of trash. no body asked for this broken piece of junk. The gameplay is boring, the graphics are the only thing good about this game. the leveling system is bullshit and the story is absolutely forgettable. This game is also glitchy as hell. Just finished the game and got to say - what a let down. When I was going into it, I had an idea that there will be a lot of repetition, but OMG was that a snooze-fest. I would rather claw my eyes out than 100% complete this game. It's the most monotonous game ever. I do have to admit, the world of absolutely beautiful. The team responsible for this have done a great job! What has let me down the most is the ending. [Spoilers] With all the build up with John Mercer, the ending was just dogsht. You just fight his super pimped out Mech suit (just kite and tickle until it dies) to then let him get clawed and run away. Was definitely expecting a much bigger fight with him directly! I genuinely tried to enjoy this game but it's just beyond bad. Don't buy it.
I played the og game as a kid, was amazing playing as the humans eradicating the blue people, then it was also awesome playing the other perspective. Also can't stand boring meaningless empty open worlds aka ubisoft worlds, so so boring. Need more games with open worlds like fo3 or even fallen order
Even if this game were good, I probably wouldn't buy it, cuz the Avatar franchise is just a straight-up thinly veiled propaganda series with precisely zero narrative depth or nuance. It's literally just humans = oppression, exploitation, and murder. Na'Vi = harmony, gentleness, community, ext. They take it to the point where a literal alien witch doctor is somehow more effective than futuristic human medics. It borders on the comedic. There's no realism to it, no artfulness, no good character work. Just pretty lights and propagandistic messaging. I legit have no idea why people like it.
Man, lmao, I actually really enjoy it, especially playing co op with my girl. I find the world absolutely beautiful and all the plants and wild life, the landmarks are well thought out. I do agree, the world is pretty empty, as far as collectibles, but it's loaded with plants and wild life. Would have been cool to see more collectibles, but I really enjoyed it and I'm clocking in 60 plus hours right now. Map is huge.
Beautiful graphics and that's where everything good about the game ends. The missions are absolutely dreadful. Fetch quests galore. Awful dialogue. I want to like this game but it's only good to look at. That's it. Piece of trash. I cranked the graphics up on my 4090 and it looked great but I was over loaded with fetch quests. I avoided them and got as far as I could in the story until I had only fetch quests left to do and the main story mission was too hard to complete. I had like 9 fetch quests on my mission list. Just absolutely pathetic game design. I wanted to finish it just because I enjoyed the graphics so much. Oh well. Garbage game.
A question for you all. What's the point of setting you in such a cool and fantastic alien world, just to play as a random marine guy with racial suprematism issues (cause basically it's how humans are represented even in the movies) with no special abilities, no real reason to be there except being an invader? I enjoyed playing as a human in the ps3 game on my second run, but why you want it that much? It sounds like you would play an Avatar game only if you were allowed to make Na'vi suffer, which is kinda weird. Ubisoft is just perpetually stuck in 2013. They literally can't do anything else besides Assassin's Creed and Far Cry. Even the new IP's are just either Far Cry or Assassin's Creed or a combination of the two.
I wish they were stuck in 2013, because the last good Ubisoft game came from that year: SC:Blacklist. The game had many complaints from people back in the day, but playing the game in perfectionist with a pure stealth loadout in ghost mode was an amazing experience at the time, super hard but also super rewarding. One of the two Ubisoft games I truly enjoyed, the other one being SC:Chaos Theory. Call Ubisoft bad all you want because I agree 100%, but as soon the words Splinter Cell appear in a sentence I'm taking these guys seriously once of a sudden. All the new games have SC mechanics anyway, just with far worse level design due to being open world and less focused on quality. Watch Dogs, Far Cry, The Division, AC are all rooted in SC and they all feel like really bad discount versions of the games for that reason, kinda like the worst levels in Blacklist that are action focused...so I guess maybe the new games are all SC:Conviction clones? lol
I cannot be the only person that’s enjoying the game it’s beautiful and it’s fun to collect resources only complaints I have is how the difficulty is either disgustingly easy or dark souls levels of difficulty getting one shot by a human outside of a exosuit. The game is pretty solid I enjoy the gameplay a lot more than Starfield which isn’t hard to beat but the story is yeah pretty mid it’s alright I guess I’ll still pay attention enough interesting stuff is happening to be fair just like Starfield I haven’t had any technical issues and I’m a big fan of the avatar series like with Starfield I’m a big fan of space and stuff

The first avatar game was better. You actually chose either human or Navi and was allowed to explore or customize your character. On top of it being like an Rpg with a bit of open world.

@@Holyinductor Again, I would HIGHLY recommend playing the 360 game as you can do just that: you can have your own Avatar (or human depending on which side you choose) with your own Mountain Banshee that you can fly, and even command troops on what objectives to take around Pandora like a commander.
It was actually a pretty advanced game for it's time and still worth playing, with a lot of the mechanics you're talking about wanting from a game like this

Did anyone get to play the other Avatar game? it lets you choose which side you got to be on and if you didn't like what your choice you got a choice further down to change sides. It also had a neat little mini game in which your XP would also be credits for a risk style campaign map where you fought to take over territory of the moon.

After being spammed with adds for the Frontiers over and over again with its cringey polish dubbing I remembered that game. I was playing it during college on my shitty laptop, so the performance were not that good and thought that the game was meh, okay, but nothing great. Now I tried it again on my modern rig, so performance was not an issue anymore, and sweet Monkey Jesus the Vampire Hunter, I didnt remember this game to be as good as it was. Like compared to the AAA shit we get now it was really fun.
It kinda boggles my brain why didnt they re-release this game on modern platforms with the premiere of the new movie.

What is it with Ubisoft and Gear based leveling systems? They have tried to cram it in practically every game they have made since the first Tom Clancy's The Division game. And except for, ironically enough, The Division's games, no of the game they've put it in have been better for it. In most cases it has made the game worse. They had to remove it from Ghost Recon Breakpoint over the backlash it received for including it.

Probably because the assault rifle and shotgun are the close range DPS weapons. You don't really need melee weapons when all RDA enemies not using AMP suits die from one melee attack
Granted I’m only 6 hours into this game but right now I am really enjoying it. The world is stunning, and beautiful exploring is fun. Traversing the word is also very fun. The story fits the movie subject. Humans trying to take over nothing wrong with that. Yes I already see the typical Ubisoft stuff in it taking out bases, fetching things ect But right now it is a hell of a lot better than Far Cry Primal. That game was boring to me. I like the upgrading system, food system and the battle system is fun. Everyone who’s just taking Griffins word for it and never played it but talking crap. Get it on sale. It might surprise you.

Visuals, sounds and the interactive world is on point in my opinion. Well I liked it! Looks amazing, great to play and explore the map. I know a lot of people are tapped out on Ubisofts formula, but if you play one just once every couple years they’re great. My last one was Far Cry 4, which I also loved. Avatar isn’t as focused and has some poor systems, but what works, really works.
It's crazy that within just a couple of console gens, gaming has become absolute bullshit. I started in 1987 on NES and right up until about 2011, it was easily my favorite hobby. Then things started getting bad with the PS4 gen and it's only gotten worse.

Things got worse because companies decided that pushing unfinished, mediocre at best games, filled with micro transactions and unplayable bugs was ok to do. Lot of good games these past few years thankfully, but unfortunately these issues are really hurting a lot of games coming out these days

I was excited about this game untill i heard it was made by ubisoft, right then and there i knew, there is no game coming, just another peace of garbage.
Avatar for me is about the world-building. This game does an amazing job at remaining faithful to the world of Pandora and portraying its beauty and wonder, along with its detailed eclogy and complexity.. The story has always been secondary to these things in Avatar for me. As for the gameplay, it is nothing revolutionary but still fun enough to keep me entertain me while I marvel at the majesty of Pandora.
Been playin for the last weekend and it's a blast of a game. The fact that you can't play a game without getting politically triggered seems like a you problem mate. There is games like Wolfenstein New Order that would make you definitely loose your mind.
You complain that the game is not optimised and it crashes on your console? Seems like a problem with your hardware cus on my mid tier desktop running on a 6700-XT the gameplay has never stuttered let alone crashed and I play without frame gen.
The glitches you show also do not happen on my device, maybe try updating the game? When I shoot the RDA mechs they do not disappear like you showed.
Your rifle aiming issues sound like a controller related problem like buggy bluetooth.
I don't know why you call the game buggy and broken because I haven't encountered a single issue that you mentioned. I found the game to be quite polished and optimised when it comes to FPS performance. Plus I am not sure why you kept mentioning Far Cry like I never played it but my friend that has played it said it was fun.
Also the game is not selling for 70 bucks, currently you can buy it for 42.6€ on Epic games with the winter discount which is what I did.
If you provided your negative opinion of the game with issues that other players are also encountering then it would be easier to understand but I have not encountered the issues you showed so try updating the game or your drivers.

Yeah this game really sucks! I can’t believe I even played it as long as I did…Video games as whole have gone to shit as of the last 2-3 years.
Personally it’s a decent game, the story is weak however the world is definitely great to explore and do think it’s what will mostly carry this game, weapons are bland and usually I just stick to one and the customization is meh, it’s not a ground breaking game however I felt decently satisfied also I played on the XSX and encountered no bugs or crashes so that’s probably based from user to user

I think it depends on how you look at it. Like, the game looks great, mostly plays functionally, is well-acted, has plenty of content, etc. There are objectively good qualities to it. But then it just becomes, how much credit do we give that when they take all of those strengths and give us crap with it?

This is funny because I'm playing AC Origins right now, and it is grindy, but in a way that's kinda fun and a bit more natural. It got worse and worse with Odyssey and Valhalla though.

i honestly really loved odyssey more than orgins. it was grindy i had about 200 hours at 87% completion. Odyssey in my opinion is one of the best games ive ever played. i love greek mythology but the game play the grind the graphics the weapons the armor the dlcs were so much fun so jam packed i never wanted to stop. i eventually did cause i also played nms at the time and im a space slut and sadly i played on stadia so i dont even have access to it anymore without restarting on xbox which i wont do till i can

This game is the final boss of the Ubisoft open world formula. They've been pushing this same formula for over a decade by just making it more and more bloated rather than innovate it.
Worse; they've actively gone backwards. "Innovation" like leveled gear and level-locking areas is worse than just doing nothing. I would actually have been happier if they kept making Far Cry 3 and 4 over again, with slight variations, in new locations.
After Far Cry 6.. I will never buy a Ubisoft game, and this game looks like absolute garbage.

In far cry 3 the levelling up made sense because you started the game as nothing and then gradually. As you progressed you got more skilled as you unlocked the skills and perks in 3 skill trees towards the halfway mark of game and Near the end you Feel Really Powerful and for takeing out bases without setting off the alarm you’d get an XP boost and the radio towers doing them unfogged the map but gave you free weapons this is what they should’ve done with frontiers of Pandora.
You get more rewards when u finish outposts with stealth in this game so learn before u speak

That Avatar game for Xbox 360 was really good, Ubisoft had a chance to make a better version of it and decided to make another Far Cry, Ubisoft really sucks.

I will never understand the mainstream obsession with Avatar. The whole IP feels like it was created by an AI. There's literally *nothing* interesting about it. The whole concept is like somebody played mad libs with the story from Dances With Wolves, but made everything dumb and mostly meaningless. Like, the first movie, the humans are literally after "unobtanium", like, really? Nobody thought calling a fictional element "Unobtanium" was a massive red-flag for the lack of creativity that engulfs this entire stupid franchise? Or did JC really think he "stumbled onto" a brilliant idea? Dude has spent too much time in his damn submarines.
Pretty sure the only person on earth who really wanted this game was James Cameron, so he can jerk himself off to his weird, blue cat-people and the "world" he "created".
Christ, at least Far Cry Primal was a change of pace for Ubisoft and could be pretty brutal and an intense survival game at times.
This Avatar game seems way more like Far Cry 6 in terms of how it's laid out. It's been a while since I played Primal, but I do remember being far more into that game than I expected to be.
I can't get over how you have to "caress" fruit before you pick it in this Avatar crap, and "thank nature" or whatever when you kill an animal or something.
Even the open world from FC Primal was way more interesting than "Pandora".
Pandora in this game is like a needlessly stretched out, and less creative version of Primal's map, but with the color palette of FC New Dawn.

This is worse than regular, modern Ubisoft, because it's modern Ubisoft with input from Disney and James Cameron (who seems to value Avatar more than any of the properly inventive franchises he's created).
No idea how he plans on trying to make another 5 of these damn movies. They're too bland, expensive, and just lacking in any kind of creativity.
The first movie sucked, the 2nd was worse, and this game seems to add absolutely nothing, and they've still apparently got multiple more movies planned.

There is something funny about an anti capitalist message in a Ubisoft game at full priced with one of the worst cosmetic shops ever where everything looks the same.
This would be so primed for a classic FarCry style narrative where the bad guy has a point and have a more 'caught between two worlds' approach. I'm thinking a more refined and expanded version of the old 360 Avatar game that let you pick sides.

The gameplay is boring, the graphics are the only thing good about this game. the leveling system is bullshit and the story is absolutely forgettable. This game is also glitchy as hell. This game should be free and even that would be too much. Ubisoft should pay us to play this clunky piece of crap. what a waste of money and time.

Just finished the game and got to say - what a let down.
When I was going into it, I had an idea that there will be a lot of repetition, but OMG was that a snooze-fest. I would rather claw my eyes out than 100% complete this game. It's the most monotonous game ever.
I do have to admit, the world of absolutely beautiful. The team responsible for this have done a great job!
What has let me down the most is the ending. [Spoilers] With all the build up with John Mercer, the ending was just dogsht. You just fight his super pimped out Mech suit (just kite and tickle until it dies) to then let him get clawed and run away. Was definitely expecting a much bigger fight with him directly!
I genuinely tried to enjoy this game but it's just beyond bad.

Even if this game were good, I probably wouldn't buy it, cuz the Avatar franchise is just a straight-up thinly veiled propaganda series with precisely zero narrative depth or nuance. It's literally just humans = oppression, exploitation, and murder. Na'Vi = harmony, gentleness, community, ext. They take it to the point where a literal alien witch doctor is somehow more effective than futuristic human medics. It borders on the comedic.
There's no realism to it, no artfulness, no good character work. Just pretty lights and propagandistic messaging. I legit have no idea why people like it.

Man, lmao, I actually really enjoy it, especially playing co op with my girl. I find the world absolutely beautiful and all the plants and wild life, the landmarks are well thought out. I do agree, the world is pretty empty, as far as collectibles, but it's loaded with plants and wild life. Would have been cool to see more collectibles, but I really enjoyed it and I'm clocking in 60 plus hours right now. Map is huge.

Beautiful graphics and that's where everything good about the game ends. The missions are absolutely dreadful. Fetch quests galore. Awful dialogue. I want to like this game but it's only good to look at. That's it. Piece of trash.
I cranked the graphics up on my 4090 and it looked great but I was over loaded with fetch quests. I avoided them and got as far as I could in the story until I had only fetch quests left to do and the main story mission was too hard to complete. I had like 9 fetch quests on my mission list. Just absolutely pathetic game design. I wanted to finish it just because I enjoyed the graphics so much. Oh well. Garbage game.
TBH, I was excited for the world... I thought it might've made it worth it. A little disappointed, but that's my own fault.

What's the point of setting you in such a cool and fantastic alien world, just to play as a random marine guy with racial suprematism issues (cause basically it's how humans are represented even in the movies) with no special abilities, no real reason to be there except being an invader?
I enjoyed playing as a human in the ps3 game on my second run, but why you want it that much? It sounds like you would play an Avatar game only if you were allowed to make Na'vi suffer, which is kinda weird. Ubisoft is just perpetually stuck in 2013. They literally can't do anything else besides Assassin's Creed and Far Cry. Even the new IP's are just either Far Cry or Assassin's Creed or a combination of the two.
I wish they were stuck in 2013, because the last good Ubisoft game came from that year: SC:Blacklist. The game had many complaints from people back in the day, but playing the game in perfectionist with a pure stealth loadout in ghost mode was an amazing experience at the time, super hard but also super rewarding. One of the two Ubisoft games I truly enjoyed, the other one being SC:Chaos Theory.
Call Ubisoft bad all you want because I agree 100%, but as soon the words Splinter Cell appear in a sentence I'm taking these guys seriously once of a sudden. All the new games have SC mechanics anyway, just with far worse level design due to being open world and less focused on quality. Watch Dogs, Far Cry, The Division, AC are all rooted in SC and they all feel like really bad discount versions of the games for that reason, kinda like the worst levels in Blacklist that are action focused...so I guess maybe the new games are all SC:Conviction clones? lol
I cannot be the only person that’s enjoying the game it’s beautiful and it’s fun to collect resources only complaints I have is how the difficulty is either disgustingly easy or dark souls levels of difficulty getting one shot by a human outside of a exosuit. The game is pretty solid I enjoy the gameplay a lot more than Starfield which isn’t hard to beat but the story is yeah pretty mid it’s alright I guess I’ll still pay attention enough interesting stuff is happening to be fair just like Starfield I haven’t had any technical issues and I’m a big fan of the avatar series like with Starfield I’m a big fan of space and stuff
