I love an inside cabin.. however we ended up with one of these with the pull down beds, definitely not a good idea!! I got up during the night and on the way back to bed I walked into one of those beds and spent the rest of the cruise walking round with a black eye 👁!!! Lol so the moral of the story is…. Be careful when booking your cabin 😅
Oh, this comment has made me laugh Tina (sorry), but only because I did exactly the same thing! I stood up from being in bed and was very confused as to why the ‘wall’ was so close - turned the light on and it was the bed, ha! Thanks a lot for watching! :)
Very good filming. Just little things like seeing the ramp when disembarking is great for me to look at as I am in an electric wheelchair and it doesn't look like the wall of death!! Thank you, can't wait to see more.
Hi Michael, thanks so much for watching, and taking the time to comment! Really glad you enjoyed the video - there’ll be a video from each day of this cruise coming over the next few weeks :) Thanks again!
Well Fraser, I have complemented all your videos in the past... but for this one ..... I'm impressed by your honesty re the joys of early starts to get to the ship and your organisation in researching the departure port re how easily accessible it is. But what I'm most impressed with, is the images. You make us want to visit Santa Cruz again. Thanks to your parents for introducing you to the Canaries.
Hey Stephen, thanks as always for watching, and I really do genuinely appreciate such positive feedback - thank you! I was actually caught off guard with Santa Cruz - really different to what I expected! The next episode is Gran Canaria - hopefully I can do that justice - no pressure…! Thanks again :)
Hi Fraser - I have been on at least 35 cruises all over the world and still find these videos useful. Yours are very good and am looking forward to seeing more. I am going on this cruise next month and so this is a bit of a useful recap from when I visited previously. I have cruised on the Azura once before also. One thing, I noticed you mentioned being in Tenerife in November. When I do my vlogs, I usually include the date, I find this helpful. Thanks again for a great video.
Enjoyed this, thanks! I didn't realize Tenerife was such a busy port! Love seeing ships in the dark. That street with all the lights was great. Bit funny with you eating alone at that big table. 😁 Can't wait for more!
I really loved seeing the streets decorated for Christmas at our ports on this cruise - such a different experience! Eating solo at the dinner table does always crack me up - there was actually a table beside me who I joined for desert, which was a nice change! Thanks for watching!!
I'm not finished watching this yet but have to say thanks for admitting the little things like you falling asleep in various places. I have a fear of that on a flight. 🤣
Hi Fraser. Bit of a luck coming across your video. Was on the Azura with you, back in early December. We chatted about your cruising exploits whilst playing shuffleboard. You were also onboard for the following week, whilst we returned to the ship the week after. Didn’t realise you had a UA-cam channel. I’ll have to check out your other videos. Keep up the good work and enjoy all your forthcoming travels. 👍🏼 PS - we’re back on the Azura in early Feb. The price was too good to ignore.
Ade, hello! Hope you enjoy my videos more than my (lack of) shuffleboard ability…! So glad you found the channel - please keep in touch! Also, the prices on Azura are absolutely fantastic at the moment - glad you snapped it up again!
Great vlog, I’m looking forward to the rest. Especially as I’m boarding Azura on 10th Feb. I haven’t done P and O before(just 2 previous cruises, both on Princess. Regal and Sky.)Keep those videos coming, great work and very informative.
Hi Lorraine, amazing - thanks so much for the positive feedback - always makes me smile! The next episode will be launching tomorrow (Thursday) at 6pm U.K. time if you’re interested :) Thanks for watching!
Thanks for a great video. Airport departure saves me a 10 hour round trip to Southampton but the extremely early 4am start to get to the airport is a little off putting. What time was the aircraft departure from Birmingham?
Hey, thanks for watching! The airport departures are great for this exact reason, although do often mean a terribly early start. From memory, I believe I left the U.K. at around 6am - doable for sure, but means a VERY limited sleep the night before…!!
Great video Fraser, interesting and helpful for those of us (myself included) that hasn't been on fly cruise yet and what to expect. Hope you had a nice cruise on there in December. 😊👍 Ps - Have you been on Ionna yet? I'm booked on a Fjords cruise on Ionna in June with my friend. Can't wait!
Hey, thanks very much! Had a great week - hopefully that’ll reflect in this vlog series! Haven’t made it into Iona yet - her solo pricking’s been quite steep since launch, but has just started to come down in some examples, so hopefully going to try the big P&O ships soon! The Fjords are remarkable - have you been before?
@@FraserAtSea glad to hear, I'll look forward to the vlogz. 😊👍 That is true, Ionna is quite pricey in general. No never been that way before, will definitely be an experience to remember I'm sure. 😊
Hi Frazer, my wife and i are doing the same cruise this year as this one.......we have done a few cruises , just wandering the exact date you went on , we go at end of November and we were wondering if the ship will have the Christmas Decoration s and Tree on display,
Hey fraser,im solo travelling on arcadia next july so am enjoying this Vlog, whats it like being a solo traveller on board arcadia?is it very busy and did u feel like you stand out because you are alone or is it very relaxed and the people are friendly?
Hey James! Oh, don’t worry - Arcadia’s a good little ship for travelling solo on - I found the people to be lovely, and always up for a chat over dinner etc! Have the best time - let me know how you get on!
Thanks for this - I'm on Azura for the first time next week cruising the Med out of Malta 😊
Ah, have a great time - thanks for watching!!
