This definitely makes a difference. I took it up a notch and registered left & right thumbs and index fingers into a single one, and now I can unlock with any of fours fingers more quickly and easily than before. Thanks for the tip.
I just bought myself a samsung S10, and I had the s9 before that and I really missed having my scanner in the back, I still do but mostly because I could pull down the notifications window by swiping in the scanner on the back.
anyways, I've been so frustrated with the fingerprint scanner within the screen on this S10, 8/10 times it asked for my pincode instead.
I came across this video, and I did as you said, and holy crap, I can't believe how much better and faster it works now. your guide should be the official one on the damn phones. thank, a lot. Now I only miss the old one for the notification window pull down.
Same with my LG V20. Perhaps my favorite rendition of a scanner/lock button on the back.

Just tried these tips and they surprisingly do improve the fingerprint unlock experience considerably.
I couldn't find the optimization list for Samsung Galaxy s20+ and the screen transition didn't change much, but the doing two fingers in one profile significantly improved speeds and helped me avoid the hassle of returning for a different phone. Thank you so much!!!

I thought that was a joke untill I applied the trick and saw the difference. Thanks man.

Unlocking it with the screen off even works when it's battery optimized, at least on my S10.
yes, but when you turn that off it allows it to run the background so you will feel it much snappier

Thank You so much. My Ultra was even worse than my Note 10 Plus, if you can imagine that. To the point that I disabled my lock screen and used Google Password Manager instead. I followed your tutorial and now it is one tap, Blazing Fast!!!!!! Great, Great Video!

Sir... I'll confess: always bypassed your videos for some stupid reason until this one caught my attention. I seldom post anything on UA-cam. You just earned a rare comment, a subscriber and a lot of likes since, I'll check out what I've been missing. Awesome hint!
I still get the circle thing even after turning off the transitions. However, that and turning off the battery optimization as described not only sped up the unlock, it also made it more accurate.
I had been having problems unlocking taking several tries before it would take my print, but no problems with unlocking apps once the phone was open.
Disabling the animation thing only changes the way it makes the transition between the lockscreen and the homepage
Improved my unlock greatly. Thank you so much. I have the Whitestone Dome Glass on it, too. Thought that might be why mine always had unlock issues.
I have the same screen protector. It’s so hit and miss on using my fingerprint. It’s kind of annoying, but I like having the screen protector on it. I will try these settings for sure.

To improve fingerprint sensor recognition: get rid of the basic screen protector that is pre-installed. I installed the Spigen Neo Flex screen protector & noticed a dramatic increase in accuracy when my place a my thumb on the screen.

Oh wow. The one key thing that made the difference for me was to have 1 profile with both left and right thimbs on the one scan. As you said it no longer has to check for 4 profiles. Amazing.
