Since you're adding a new switchpod, this would've been the perfect opportunity to use Auxbeams' new wireless switchpod so you can put the switchpod outside your vehicle on magnets or even in your pocket.
Again, sweet setup.
I run Auxbeam on the runner and they work great. I like their new wireless also. Def wouldn't mind it but I was working with Lasfit on this one. And it works. Keeps everything in one location and my wife and kid knows where it is vs me moving it around or keeping it in my pocket lol ALTHOUGH that would def be handy if we can then bring it into the tent and such. We'll see. Nothing is ever permanent on this jeep haha
I expected the battery monitor to be set up between the house battery negative and the terminal post that serves as the common ground. But at 8:10 you have everything except the starter all connected to the same post of the monitor, so all the power used by the house distribution block wouldn't go through the monitor. All it would measure is the draw against the starter battery. My read of things is that all the distribution negatives go on one end, and the "battery negative" goes to the house negative, not the starter negative. What am I missing?

No...negative posts have nothing to do with the reading of amp draws or levels. It's literally just grounding the system. What's reading all your "vitals" is the red positive wire coming out of the battery monitor and onto the positive term of your house battery. Make sense?
What IS measuring the draw fr the starter battery (which is done internally) is the BCDC1225D charger which then takes that info and calculates how much to bring to your house
