Very cool 🤙 have a couple 468's one turbocharged in my squarebody and the other with a tunnel ram in my lowrider. Among a dozen other engines. Have a bad habit of building engines i don't even need smh. Have a pair of fresh 396's and a fresh 406 sitting waiting on an install.

Excited to see what the trick flows do on the 406 I’m doing the CNC DHC 200 on my 306cid and shooting for 9k rpm. but my 409 (0.040 over 400) needs a set of heads when I’m not at the salt. And been looking at the 175s for that due to the lower rpm and drivability.

That right at the same hp. My 0.60 over 427 made the best of 661 hp 605 torque and later that day 647 then 648 with the afr heads and a 950 hòlly the cam was a howards 235x241 @ 50 and 618 lift 108 lsa good power simply combo

Looks like you got your windage issue fixed from the previous videos where you were losing a lot of oil pressure...I assume you drained some oil on this test...
I hope the dyno bank 2 AFR is wrong good lord it's lean....
I've run the race rites NA and boosted and the 265 AFR ( and others) as well.468 and 496...my AFRs were milled to 11 to 1 on the 496..made 686hp at 6700 with a Edelbrock Street Ram converted to EFI and we made the top kinda similar to a holley hi ram..
I also run direct axle oiled morel solids on a custom billet core hydraulic roller profile with additional pressure about 200 seat 580 nose...zero lash cold .006-
008 hot...added 500rpm to peak when I upped that pressure..
Then I added a F1A-94 and actually run on both in car and 7600rpm was no issue on the 468", there wasn't any "nose over" it ran that way 6 years, near daily driving it's the ONLY way I'd run a BBC again...hybrid hyd/solid period...I tried every lifter made from isky EZRoll dissimilar metal $1300 crap all of em morel, Johnson good lifters they all failed actually driving it around a lot with " street solid rollers" all of em bigger wheel, direct oiled did add life....
I tried ALL the lifters and oil weights and clearances and preloads...it's gonna tick hot or cold take your pick and still roll over at 6200 no matter the cam...lol..
That hybrid setup was money 0 lash during summer cold, done singer sewing machine for YEARS took well over 1000hp ( 17psi ) sold it 6 years later and it's in full size blazer still get driven going on 3-4 years now....different intake and carb is all......
Believe folks for BBC it's the ticket, Herbert adds 100 to use a billet vs Sadi core to any of their custom cam you choose the lobes....morel direct axle oiled and it will spin up, sound great and live....
Sweet to see it being used here

The 468 has the bore of 4.310"... Of course, your 468 is of no comparison to my race 468. Mine made 776 HP
at 7,500 rpm. I changed some things and now it makes 800 HP. 4&7 swap cam by Competition custom ground. 1.8 ratio on intake and 1.75 on exhaust. Big blocks usually have more duration on the exhaust, since they make more power on the exhaust side. My cam has the lift of .793" and 7.46 on the exhaust, lobe center 112°, made the most power on 109° Brodix round top intake, 4150 bolt pattern with turtle. 2" HV 4 hole tapered spacer to 4500 carb, carb is a 1050 cfm #8896. Eric in OK has all my parts that he ran on the Dyno. You cannot get that intake anymore, comp. 12.3. Brodix 310 cc open chamber heads, cut down
to 108cc. 2.250" intake valves and 1.88" exhaust. 50° on intake valves and seats. They do not make that head anymore. It is not CNC'd. Intake and heads have been port matched. Std. length rods, 6.135".

Big blocks are so easy to make power with.

    • @dzperformance7360
