This could be an interesting series, discussing what if some mechanic or change is absent in the Pokémon games. For example, the absence of the Special stat split or held items.
There already basically are. People who whine about any attack ever having even the smallest miss chance, complaining about barely missing a damage range, and of course calling moves like Double Team, Sand Attack, etc "unfair".
@@RoninCatholiccomplaining is valid, everyone complains about stuff, pretty sure sand attack isn't banned. Thinking that double team spam is fair is an opinion though.
Storm Throw and Frost Breath could still exist, they would just have the effect of ignoring negative stat changes. Now, about the high crit chance moves: - Stone Edge and Cross Chop would simply have 120 power, 80% accuracy - Cross Poison would have a chance to badly poison instead of regular poison - Shadow Claw would become a Dragon Claw clone - 80 power, 100% accuracy, no secondary effect. I bet physical Ghosts would appreciate it - Crabhammer could stay as is, maybe bumped up to 110 power 'cause it has limited learnset - Karate Chop would have a low chance to lower Defense - Poison Tail, Blaze Kick could have a chance to flinch - Drill Run would have a 50% chance to lower Defense - Attack Order could lower Evasiveness ('cause the bees distract you) - Leaf Blade and Razor Leaf would simply have higher base power, though you could instead make it so their power is boosted by Grassy Terrain slightly more than usual (50% instead of 30%, or 70% instead of 50% before the nerf in Gen 8), though that could be a bit problematic with Leaf Blade - Snipe Shot could never miss (like Swift) - Spacial Rend could either always lower Defense by 1 or have a chance to lower it by 2 - Slash, Psycho Cut, Air Cutter, Aqua Cutter would just be vanilla moves with higher power (sorry, I don't have any good ideas that aren't just stat drops for the sake of it) - Sky Attack could boost Special Defense on the charging turn ('cause you surround yourself with magic) - this should be added even if you don't remove crits btw - Razor Wind meanwhile would boost Speed ('cause you ride in the sharp whirlwind you create, like the yokai the move is named after) - Aeroblast could flinch (ever got hit by a strong gust of wind?) - Finaly, Night Slash. Now this is an interesting one. It's based on how some samurai supposedly tested their new swords on commoners at night. I have a few ideas how to change the move: - - boosts attack on K.O. (like Fell Stinger) - - boosts attack the first time it's used in battle (like how Intrepid Sword only triggers once) - - deals more damage if the user moves first (like Fishious Rend)
I'll never understand why the hardcore nuzlocke is about leveling to the boss mon (ace) level instead of mon before that. It kinda trivializes the important fights, because for most of the fight your team is already overleveled and it ends up with boss mon being rushed by probably 6 mons, if something would happen - which makes only one part of the fight challenging and likely guarantees victory.
@MEPlaysGames ive been watching him for some time, so i have all the silly ways he mispronounces some names memorized, it's definitely a defining quirk to associate directly with him; hopefully you guys can have a funny shtick too 🙌🏽
Crits ignore sp def + def boosts, also crits through screens do normal damage, so if a strong poison or steel move crit you then you still get OHKO’d even with boosts and screens
i've done one nuzlocke, and jesus christ that did not go well hoping to do a Pokemon Y nuzlocke pretty soon though so i have an excuse to name a Blastoise "Erron Black" (if you know you know)

That’s the plan more or less, I’d recommend watching the video we made about abilities not existing if you haven’t already
Theres some weird metas like let's go and bdsp that mix stuff old and modern pokemon metas
Special 200 regidrago be wild
Ever since I found out that critical hits ignore stat changes i always brushed them to the side and taught my pokemon something else
If there weren't critical hits I bet there would be tryhards advocating for the complete removal of RNG from Competitive Pokemon

@@smogon3215 They're entitled to complain and I'm entitled to mock them because my opinions are better.

Let me just say now i know you only have 5k subs and you are growing prety slow but your content is so much better. I hope you reach 100k soon.

You guys should 100% do a soul locke!
Yeah, their dynamic would make for an entertaining run.
YEAHHHHH FLYGONHG MENTION 🔥 this concept of topic is really interesting and the video was put together very nicely
Flygon's the man, he helped me with a video about pronouncing Pokemon names by providing his own perspective

You should do a soullink nuzlocke together
Elias would die if he did a nuzlocke, then he absolutely needs to do a nuzlocke!
Stall would be better, defensive mons would be better.

I love this channel
Do us one better: No RNG
Belly Drum Slash is the most disappointing moment
What if critical hits were still tied to speed?
