Ponds are frozen. Even throwing big rock wont break them. No snow on the ground except deep in forest. Supposed to get 3 cm tonight and tomorrow.
As to the "why stay up there, so far up?". I think we forget that these beings don't have the same issues walking up the mountain, as we pitiful humans. Damn Steve, I have been waiting for years to hear this story, no lie. I have day dreamed many times about you and how you take down a big ass bear in that situation. I love all the natural videography and stories you always share with us as well. But this story I’ve been waiting for, because I have wondered so many times, what do you do in that situation, whether you are hunting a bear or your coming in contact with a bear that is coming for/at you, like how calm and experienced you have to be. Your story about your bear kill, was scary, I was literally picturing you doing everything you said as you were telling us all what happened. I’m terrified of bears. I don’t know if I could ever be so calm and stand my ground, with or without a weapon. I’m in Florida and we have some big black bear’s around here. They can be calm and careless about us and just walk on by or if you have something in your yard they want, they’re coming to take it. I don’t know how to judge a bears behavior, and that’s scary. Anyways, I love what you do (hunt your own meat, for many reasons, I’ve never thought of that in a bad way, I don’t understand why some people get truly upset) and love hearing everyone’s stories being told. I enjoy every video 😊 I have also learned a lot from your videos. But anyways, you always do great and a lot of us enjoy your company🙂 Thanks Steve.
Congrats on getting that bear sure looked like a monster. I am sure you were in an archery area only, or you would have gone in there with a big bore lever action or shot gun for close quarters. Enjoy your harvest

the cedar bark is interesting, there are vast medicinal uses of cedar bark that the natives knew of for centuries, i'm sure the wood man knew of them also and perhaps that's where the natives learned how to use it, and of course we learned from the natives!
Steve they know the Government is sending out hit squads. At that elevation there caves and other areas for them to hide!! They are also up there to have a front seat to any military helicopters or ground special forces encroaching on where they live!! It is easy for them to run down a few deer and climb back up there!! And still have the ability to semi have the high ground!!! GBY Good Luck on your hunting trip. Dave
Funny how all these people make fun of us KNOWERS.. They think they're so tough, with their mean words and ridicule... They make fun of us, Because they believe that we are seeing things or misidentifying... Yet when you ask them to come with & see for yourself.... I've offered to bring these People into the forest where these guys are, and tell them they will have an experience.. They never want to come along Why is that? Who's the chump now? I guess us knowers who continue to go into the forests are actually a lot tougher than the average person because we put ourselves in this situation on a regular basis knowing that these beings could do serious damage in a split second.. So anyone who's worried about coming forward or is bothered by ridicule.. Just know that you are the brave one. It's the people who've been dumbed down that are the weak..
My opinion...archery hunting Grizzlies takes s certain kind of man with balls of steel. Shit happens, you saw it through and finished the job. Impressive. Glad you are safe
Dude you are a righteous CATDADDY! Bear meat was always the main food for the old hound dog hunters in the GNW , especially after they been hitting the salmon! Spring bear on the berries yah , take some roast and jerky! And wait for the bear farts !!😂😂
First buck I ever shot at was the biggest I’ve ever seen and about 450 yards away. Completely missed… I’ll never forget… next year I had a rifle with a warped barrel and didn’t realize it cause someone else sighted the gun in and told me it was good. Made two bad shots on a 8 point whitetail and injured him. Tracked him for over a mile and didn’t find him. Really bad way to start whitetail hunting
For the tiny bit of hunting I did, I could care less about the trophy side of hunting. I get it and all, but just not my thing. I will confess I would like a bear rug.I use to hunt with a recurve bow,and I was after deer. I will say Steve you have big ones to go after a bear in the rough like that. I would have gone with a gun to get it, being wounded and all, anything could happen.
Freaking Badass! Is this not top tier hunting? Where the hunter can become the hunted. A hunting battle to the death! It's hard for me to visualize the jungle you describe in B.C. It sounds like a mystical dream world, but it is the real world.
What did Steve say this time? Its been a week since a new post, so i figure UA-cam must have put him in the corner for a time out again? Anyone know whats going on?
Good evening Steve! You would never seem egotistical! Your Ego has always been in check & that is why you are so.. Loved & Respected! ❤ to my HTH Family & our Ruby! 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
That was some story! Thanks for sharing. 2 arrows left! That is damn frightening. Your story is of a man who did the the best he could and finished the job. Too many times when I go hiking, I find deer who died a painful death, because a hunter couldn't be bothered to track the deer they wounded.
As a deer hunter, I have never met a fellow hunter that couldn’t be bothered to look for a kill. Sometimes the blood trail runs dry and the kill is lost. Anyone that bowhunts long enough will experience this, it’s almost inevitable.
Had a boss once who stopped contributing to our 401K so he could go to Africa and shoot a elephant for a trophy. And you are extremely correct in what you say.
What a scum bag ! Elephants are such noble creatures. Very complex. To just kill for no reason is sick. The complete opposite to what Steve and hunters like him do.
I respect the fact you feed your family the way we should I wish My family could live like that thanks your having this channel I listen to it everyday keep it up Steve your feeding your dog the right way !
I agree Steve. Hunting isn't about pounding your chest and seeking recognition. At least it shouldn't be. I hear anti hunters say "does it make you feel like a big man!" When I hear that, well what about my sister and aunts?!? Are they "big men" now too? I've never thought of hunting as an ego trip. I wouldn't hunt with people who did.
When I was growing up, we had Goldens and/ or yellow labs. They usually got to be 16 -17 years old. Now I hear and see a lot of dogs aren't making it past 4. You're lucky if they get to be 8 or 9. A lot of cancers. Overbreeding? God awful dog food, too many vacs? I'm cooking for my dogs now. At least I know what's in it.
I agree about the dog food shortening dogs lives these days. The stuff they put in it , is disgusting. Since loosing a dog to cancer, I started looking at the food and found the " meat bi products" turned out to be road kill, euthanized animals, grains that are hard on a dog's digestion. So, I looked for grain free and non gmo, as well as real meat products, not bi product. Also researched the particular food for any recalls, and how often on the recalls. So far the 2 foods have been recall free and no harmful ingredients.
We got a Rottweiler from a wonderful breeder, She said the vaccines are the biggest issue. Also feeding the dogs good food. Raw is best. We don't do raw but we do the best dog food available. It's expensive but he's had zero health issues. I vaccinate him myself, she said the 4 in 1 vaccines are overloading their systems too much at once. I do one vaccine at a time, at least a month in between.
What an amazing story. I've been wanting to hear what happened since you first talked about it. I don't cringe at the details, death is a part of life. I love animals but, I was raised in a hunting family, so details don't get to me. This from the woman who, as a little girl, held a tearful funeral for 3 worms who had met their end on a hot sidewalk! 🙄🙄 Thank you for telling your tale Steve!
I understand. My grandfather was a hunter and I failed fishing 101. He gave me the "worms don't feel being put on the hook" speech. I looked at him and said "but either it is going to be eaten or drown in the river." He couldn't argue. I had funerals for baby birds that fell out of their nests. I never had a problem eating the meat he provided. Ok, I admit, when I was under 8 I wouldn't volunteer to eat Bambi but if I wasn't told what it was, as soon as I took the first bite, I knew and I would eat it. I liked it. 🤷🏻♀️. Thanks Disney!
I believe my Mother was picked up by one, ok city. They had children splayed before the woodstove! . She was picked up with no. Sound, she had .no knowledge of what took her. . yet she woke up & was dropped! Until she died, she barricaded the doors! Always wondered, yet I have the answer now!!. Thank you 51:29
hey man theres nothing wrong with that. some of us feel deeper than others. just means shes got a bigger heart. and thats refreshing as we take all these creatures and what they all do for us for granted just because God us at the top.
@@pamelaakapambo822 If you've never made fresh tea from spices or herbs, 2 methods are to take #1) 1 cup of water to 1 teaspoon of cloves, rosemary, or whatever. The process of boiling herbs or spices in a pan makes the taste more potent; maybe hard to handle. You may want to try #2) boiling the water in a pan by itself and then pouring the water into a cup and let the herb or spice steep, producing a milder version, allowing your tastebuds to acclimate. I'm no expert, but have a friend who's been an herbalist for years. I used to think I knew what good tea was until she introduced me to things like pine needle tea. I especially enjoy clove tea or peppermint/ licorice tea. Strong flavors can really perk you up when you have a cold, too. Native tribes have used cedar for a variety of things; also as chewing gum, like spruce, an acquired taste. lol The cedar bark may be used in combination with other substances to make it more palatable.

Just catching up on the story....😮😮freak me out!!! You tell it so good I felt I was there...thank you sir.
Anyone else going 🧐🤔 after no post from Steve (not even on community page) for 5 days now??? Or is it just me???🤷
6 days now. Feel this is unusual
Red man I have the same senses send in more mate! Steve that lynx was awesome !!!
Congrats on getting that bear sure looked like a monster. I am sure you were in an archery area only, or you would have gone in there with a big bore lever action or shot gun for close quarters. Enjoy your harvest
Thank you so very much Steve. 👍🏻
Redman..YES PLEASE! Please tell us more.

The Bear didn't want to go that easy... he asked the Creator to please make the person be worthy of my life. Everyone got what they asked for. 🙏
Cedar repels insects, for bedding may be the reason.
the cedar bark is interesting, there are vast medicinal uses of cedar bark that the natives knew of for centuries, i'm sure the wood man knew of them also and perhaps that's where the natives learned how to use it, and of course we learned from the natives!
It wasn't the first time I heard a story about them using cypress trees. I wonder what they know, we don't...
Where is Steve...?
Mr. Red Man, thank you for sharing your horrible experience, and I so sorry for your loss. ✨️🤍🙏🕊🌎👣
My opinion...archery hunting Grizzlies takes s certain kind of man with balls of steel. Shit happens, you saw it through and finished the job. Impressive. Glad you are safe

Where is Steve we’re having H2H Withdrawls 😅!!!
Dude you are a righteous CATDADDY! Bear meat was always the main food for the old hound dog hunters in the GNW , especially after they been hitting the salmon! Spring bear on the berries yah , take some roast and jerky! And wait for the bear farts !!😂😂
Has anyone seen anything from Steve inthe last 5 days?
True hunting story! Hey was it the huge one? You posted two big bears?
Lucky dog!
Safe travels

Congratulations on 314 K subscribers. I started watching your channel when you had 30K. Great Job! You're making so much sense.
That was some story! Thanks for sharing. 2 arrows left! That is damn frightening. Your story is of a man who did the the best he could and finished the job. Too many times when I go hiking,
I find deer who died a painful death, because a hunter couldn't be bothered to track the deer they wounded.
That just sucks!
As a deer hunter, I have never met a fellow hunter that couldn’t be bothered to look for a kill. Sometimes the blood trail runs dry and the kill is lost. Anyone that bowhunts long enough will experience this, it’s almost inevitable.
most likely didn't know how and was never taught
Had a boss once who stopped contributing to our 401K so he could go to Africa and shoot a elephant for a trophy. And you are extremely correct in what you say.
What a scum bag ! Elephants are such noble creatures. Very complex. To just kill for no reason is sick. The complete opposite to what Steve and hunters like him do.
Deplorable
I hope you quit that job!
My employer doesn't even offer a 401k. The owner is a multi-millionare. I don't think they want us to be able to retire.
Just remember. You owe your employer the same as they owe you.
The sheeple crowd are annoyingly vocal.
Good eve HTH 🇬🇧👍🏻
When I was growing up, we had Goldens and/ or yellow labs. They usually got to be 16 -17 years old. Now I hear and see a lot of dogs aren't making it past 4. You're lucky if they get to be 8 or 9. A lot of cancers. Overbreeding? God awful dog food, too many vacs? I'm cooking for my dogs now. At least I know what's in it.
Vaccs and horrible quality pet foods.
Good thing. GOD BLESS
I COOK FOR MY DOG TOO!!
I REMEMBERS, WE DID NOT GO TO THE VET YR😊S AGO
THEY WERE FED FROM THE TABLE AND THEY LIVED LONG
We got a Rottweiler from a wonderful breeder, She said the vaccines are the biggest issue.
@@andrealacroix3773 Excellent info!
I liked it. 🤷🏻♀️. Thanks Disney!

hey man theres nothing wrong with that. some of us feel deeper than others. just means shes got a bigger heart. and thats refreshing as we take all these creatures and what they all do for us for granted just because God us at the top.
Btw, medicinal use of cedar bark help with joint inflammation and is also helpful with respiratory issues. The wilderness is a big medicine cabinet.
Exactly the type of knowledge the PTB have been successfully uneducating the masses from
Can you share in more detail the process of the cedar bark. ???? Appreciate It.
How do you prepare the Cedar ? As a Tincture ? I have Crushed Lumbar 2,3 & 5 , whiplash neck 5 years & arthritic knees.
WhateVeR..... I can gOOgle stuff (I don't know) on my own WITHOUT flattering anyone

Why did he say you leave the bear for awhile after you kill it?
@@annefitch9759it's best to give the animal you shoot time to die without pressuring it, otherwise an animal that would have lay down and die may travel miles instead making the chance of recovery less likely.
Oh gotcha, I was just curious, I'm not a hunter but you seemed like you would know. Have a good day!
Thank you Redman for coming forward with important knowledge. I too learned these skills out of survival because I traveled alone in my youth and depended on no one but myself. I would love to hear more of your experiences with the Sasquatch people. The females of this species, seem to know who is in need of support and will watch over that individual. Also too, others in the general area will also know that you are watched over. I hope you do understand this. I don't call it " tagged", but I call it "connected". And once connected, you will always be connected no matter where you go. It is their way. They may not be in your every day life, but there will be times they are there just to let you know they have not forgotten about you. Thank you again for sharing.
