What an excellent assessment. It shows how racism is accepted and promoted by many Americans. I agree also that the solution is to NOT get enraged and react in an adversive manner; but to appeal to all decent Americans to stand up against these crimes. We also have to shatter the notion that police are always right and stop the blue wall of silence that protects them when they are wrong.
"Insanity", exactly. We must have the awareness to realize the situation we're in at all times - my sister, my brother, you're not dealing with an individual being unreasonable, you're dealing with insanity. The reality is that we "don't have the luxury of being angry," and it's not that we shouldn't push back but that we shouldn't want to push back. Why? Here's an analogical question for you: Why in the world would you want to provoke a psychopath in the moment you're confronted by one? It's a waste of your time, and there's a high chance that it'll be a waste of your precious life too. Instead, apply mindfulness, like our elder right here - Mr. White Sr. Just look at the level of composure he embodies!
Some people need to be seriously slapped in the head to get it working again for treating people like this. Heard there's an error. However, if he's gonna talk about amount of deaths and skincolor, I wanna see numbers.
100% Honky hi, look at the reason for that. Centuries of exploitation and colonisation. They’re only just catching up. And to argue none of them are thriving is ridiculous, some of them are industrialising and changing at incredible rates right now. Take your ignorance elsewhere.
As long as we are still talking about racism, as long as our children still know this word and use it in daily life, racism still exist. We must ACT, NOW, proactively!
You hnow what, racism will not end in amerikaka. Come to Africa we need highly trained and educated people. Of course this has to be coordinated by the various African governments.
That is the reason why America is filled with depressed people. Everyone will reap what they sow. It might take time but it will happen in one way or another. We need to be mindful on what we sow now to have a fruitful life later. God help us.
I agree, NO ONE wins when it comes to racism. Some people think they are but it’s a facade, they are also mentally and spiritually trapped by contributing to racism
Hessian14, Racist is a word used only on white people. If white people prefer to be around their own kind, why don't you be KIND ENOUGH to leave them alone!
Bravo and bless you. “Elevate your consciousness” as a dialogical pursuit of truth by the many. We need each of us to accomplish the revolution humanity is crying out for.

Master plan, will you make a commitment to doing those things yourself, also? JSYK, I have already joined you in doing this myself and with others. You have to believe that you can make wins because the only other choice is to suffer losses

Silence to injustice and discrimination is killing America. Here in Canada as an African I always fight injustice and discrimination. I tell my friends I can ignore and pass it, but I do it not for me but for our children.
RIP George Floyd

hate people that you don;t even get to know is insane.... not liking someone just because they have dark color is insane and shallow,..AF!!!
I want to know more about the racism in USA and that is what led me to this video :)
well done for wanting to learn more. this is the start of change!
❤️🙏🏻🙏🏿🙏🇺🇸🕊️🕊️☝🏼
I like this guy's approach. Great talk.
One of the best person ever
I'm trying to learn how to change things for others. I found another Tedx speaker that helped me a lot
Thanks from Italy for your great testimonial
Beautifully profound.
Eloquent, composed, clear.... Not accusatory, not playing games..
Bless this guy
I just want to cry 😭 Not okay.
Some people need to be seriously slapped in the head to get it working again for treating people like this. Heard there's an error.
However, if he's gonna talk about amount of deaths and skincolor, I wanna see numbers.
Hi,
Fellow white person here.
Yeah, can confirm.
There's a great many number that need to "get turned off and back on again."

Take one look across Africa. Not one country there is thriving and you blacks really think white people are still the problem? Seriously???
100% Honky hi, look at the reason for that. Centuries of exploitation and colonisation. They’re only just catching up. And to argue none of them are thriving is ridiculous, some of them are industrialising and changing at incredible rates right now. Take your ignorance elsewhere.
Is it innate? The haters and sociopath gravatate toward gov.
It is innate in them.
That's a GREAT life story of a vet... those who do this DO NOT DESERVE TO BE CALLED PATRIOTS...
heart-breaking to watch this, seriously
I really hate people being judged by there skin color without even giving them a chance to show there personality, all because of there appearance.
Beautifully presented well done
As long as we are still talking about racism, as long as our children still know this word and use it in daily life, racism still exist. We must ACT, NOW, proactively!
Great speech. Great man.
You hnow what, racism will not end in amerikaka. Come to Africa we need highly trained and educated people. Of course this has to be coordinated by the various African governments.
well i hope racism will end in america , but African governments should cooperate
That was a good talk, sir.
I learned a lot from this man
Inspirational!!
It's the racism with the kind words and a smile that hurts the most. 🙁
WE MUST DO IT THAT WAY !!
@@salamjihad3449 Shut up.
@@jmin8400 WHY ? THATS HOW MOST OF US BLACKS DO IT !!
That is the reason why America is filled with depressed people. Everyone will reap what they sow. It might take time but it will happen in one way or another. We need to be mindful on what we sow now to have a fruitful life later. God help us.
I agree, NO ONE wins when it comes to racism. Some people think they are but it’s a facade, they are also mentally and spiritually trapped by contributing to racism
good job brother keep up the good work
Mr. White: I was a Security Forces member (Air Police) in the USAF. Did two tours in Iraq. Nothing much has changed.
all these racists in the comments smh
Racist is a word used only on white people
yeah
Hessian14, Racist is a word used only on white people. If white people prefer to be around their own kind, why don't you be KIND ENOUGH to leave them alone!
Wanting to be around your own kind is fine. It's the further actions you might take in support of that goal that might be a problem.
@@romandarius6041 what about when your OWN KIND (WOMEN) don't want you to be around huh??????? And they just want that BBC!
This is hurting my soul.
I Love This :) Amazing Presentation
Love this!
One of the better talks!
And yet here we are again 2020 RIP Mr.floyd RIP Mr. Audrey 🙏 and the list goes on and on
White people get killed by cops too. Is that also because of racism?
thank you for sharing your personal experiences. was a joy to hear 😊
You made me cry Sir. Stop racism!
Great speech!
Great Talk!
Bottomline don't let them stop you. Keep fighting.
I would join his hypothetical group in a heartbeat!!!!! Bravo!!!!
This was a great speech
Thank you Sir
12:11 so powerful my brother
I am not only your ally, I am also your accomplice❤️
Yes! We CANNOT accept that kind of behavior any more! Yes!
To collectively change.
Yessss !!!!
Bravo and bless you. “Elevate your consciousness” as a dialogical pursuit of truth by the many. We need each of us to accomplish the revolution humanity is crying out for.
Much agreed everywhere where you dont speak up this happens. Rules and prosecutions are necessary pillars into combating injustices.
That's was amazing 👏👏
AMAZING TEDX THANK YOU MY BROTHER! PREACH! PREACH! THERE IS TOO MUCH HATE AND RACISM! GOD BLESS YOU GOD BLESS US ALL!
7 years later we are still on this fight. God help us!!
You mean 400 years later. Hope you wont vote maga?
The day I woke up and saw many peoples of different races, ethnic groups and cultures together protesting, I knew change was coming for the better for us all. Amen😷👍😇❤
2020 and still the deep hatred exists! Its very sad
Respect for all people who fight discrimination!👏🏼
I hope that this was enough. That everyone steps out to no longer accept this behaviour.
Master plan, will you make a commitment to doing those things yourself, also? JSYK, I have already joined you in doing this myself and with others. You have to believe that you can make wins because the only other choice is to suffer losses
Hmm inspiring Testimony of Life and staying the course 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾💙
Every learning and values starts at home, teach your children to be a descent individual at home and within the community, no matter what your color is people will respect you, and that will be the start of change of racism.
You dont understand ...you dont have to teach kids that they are born knowing that...we should star by stop teaching iur kids to hate
Well said. Hands up to you, James White Sr. 🙌
Good speech
