gaz, your videos bring so much light to my days. everyday life has been so overwhelming lately and sometimes i wish for nothing more than to live a lifestyle similar to yours. whilst i cannot do that at the moment, i’d like to thank you for letting us witness your wonderful life, and the lovely dishes that you always make. although it's not the real thing i feel so at peace when i watch your videos. thank you for inspiring me to make my life goal to move to the countryside and live harmoniously with nature :)
I live in Kentucky and grew up in the South. And the way we eat squash is with onion, salt and pepper, and caramelize it in a skillet with a little butter. Summer squash is so good
Gaz, I feel your love for potatoes in my soul. The sound of them crunching! Man, pure bliss. Also, I will fly from Australia for date night, but only if you cook for me. 😊
came to this channel years ago for the cooking videos, now I can never have a relationship because no one could ever be as charismatic, cute, talented, intelligent and pretty as Gaz haha
Gaz, your next adventure in gardening should be seed saving from your own plants. Since they grew in your micro-climate they should produce even better for you next year. A great book on this is seed to seed. Cheers!
one of my favorite scenes from my favorite movie, My Neighbor Totoro, is when the girls eat fresh cucumber straight from the garden, and the fact that you inadvertently recreated this scene on your stunning homestead is making me so happy 😀
Love the Plants Only cookbook. The herb and caper sauce has become a staple. We were gifted with a case of Sophie's Kitchen "salmon" patties in June. This sauce elevates an already good product to sublime. I've even thinned the sauce with more lemon juice and served it over a dinner salad. I have all your cookbooks and when you publish the next one, I'll get that one too. ❤
Gaz I just discovered your content. Your content and your story telling brings so much peace to my extra stressed life. I appreciate it and I’m going through all your content now. Thank you!
The vibes of this video were just immense! So good Gaz, your garden is epic and your recipes are always so unique. We met you years ago at the Depot when you had a stand at the Depot and you were selling donuts, we got you on IG and you had just started out. To see how far you've come is bloody brilliant - well done mate you should be so proud! Big up the Welsh!
I love these new videos. Gardening, preserving, rescuing chickens, impressive and accessible vegan food. You jumped to my number 1 vlogger spot in the last few months. Already have 2 of your cookbooks. Ready for your new one whenever you're ready to write it.
I only grow Marketmore because I'm in a hot climate and I have found that variety doesn't become bitter. Just a tip to others who might have had problems with bitter cucumbers and since Gaz mentioned them.
So beautiful. It's very hard for me not to be jealous. I live in Texas where we have been suffering with horrible, record breaking heat. Most days are 100+ My veggies are stunted or not producing. Enjoy you piece of Heaven.
Try basil tea- it’s a game changer. I got the idea from watching roots and refuge farm. You boil down a bunch of basil, let it cool, and honey and lemon, and then drink cold. So refreshing and such a lovely summer essence to it.
I don't know if you get enough sunny days for a solar dehydrator. Build frames (2ft x 2 ft) 60 cm x 60 cm . Cover them with window screen. Stack the screens . A car in the sun with the windows cracked open can work , or a shelf system covered with greenhouse plastic also works. You need both heat and airflow to dry herbs. The shelf system should be slightly open at the bottom to let cooler air in and slightly open at the top to let the moist, hot air out. I dry all my herbs for winter!
I have a hard time believing that you have not found someone to make a romantic dinner for when you have created that wonderful space, where you make amazing dishes with what you grow yourself AND you look like that. What an impressive paradise you have over there and the obvious fulfillment you get from it that puts a light in your eyes. I would think you would be beating them off with sticks 🙂
Gas, you're really a Genius of the vegetale garden and your recipes out of the produce are Simply appetizing and beautiful. You've learned a lot going to live in the country.❤
in the midst of a mentally challenging year and videos like this bring me so much peace and hope. thank you for sharing your journey with us, it's ever so lovely to watch the garden and you evolve. sending an abundance of love and admiration your way. ✨
Wow, the basil ice cream looks like it would be amazing. Basil is just a wonderful flavor and to have it in ice cream would be delicious with the waffle cone too. Oh this episode the recipe that spoke to my heart above the others, was the risotto with the summer squash. Wow I thoroughly enjoy risotto and summer squash, and the way that it was cooked looked absolutely divine. The squash had a nice bit of caramelization on it and the risotto looked excellent, it was not mushy or burned and aww it was all beautiful. I love the way you do your smashed potatoes with your version of fresh Herbs de Provence and your homemade ketchup. Potatoes are amazing and delicious. It’ll be good to see more potato recipes in the time ahead. As autumn comes around it starts to get into soup season and you have so many leafy greens and potatoes and other delicious veg that you could make a wonderful soup or stew. I enjoyed your clip of you planting the seeds on the banana peels, I didn’t know that that was a thing or could be done. It was good to learn something new and I appreciate your content. Your videos are always great quality and you and your team are excellent. 😊
This sounds incredible! You've inspired me to restart my garden. Had a landscaper come out and clear then old and preserve the soil. Ready to start planting this weekend!
Gaz you are the Sir David Attenborough of plants! love your videos, herb ice-creams are mad lol but you make it seem like we are missing out on an incredible experience! Your videos are so informative and inspiring x
Would pay a lot of money to visit your homestead, watch you cook outside, and eat your delicious food 🥰 What a unique and beautiful experience Was in the British Isles last year but didn’t get the chance to visit Wales, will definitely make it a priority!
Love your videos! Would be great to see a house tour, so that it ties together with your garden😍 and also Q&A would be cool for people who want to start on a similar journey and might have questions❤
I just got some lovely fresh potatoes from the farm down the road, and you have inspired me to smash them!!! Thank you, Gaz, for your wonderful recipes, the beautiful inspiration of your gardens, and the uplifting energy you bring into the world! xo
Gaz you can't fail to get another book deal. Such brilliant content. Amazing recipes, a brilliant garden totally inspiring. Can't wait to get the cast iron pans out and do some outdoor cooking over the bank holiday. So need one of those rustic chopping blocks. Keep up the great content. .
Wow wow wow. How beautiful and peaceful your garden and surroundings are! Thank you for going through the effort of making these incredible videos! Love your recipes and your garden❤❤❤
Amazing garden, you should be so proud of yourself. Just as a tip for all the basil, you can make pesto in batches and freeze. It lasts up to 6 months well in the fridge. My family is from Genoa so they KNOW 😅
Delightful videos & such peaceful joy 💛 thank you for it all. Not to mention humorous too 15:57 - 16:07 cracked me up! but i hope Gaz finds his future wife very soon, all the best 🌱
I've been dehydrating all of my basil but I found a recipe for basil and mint jelly that I think I may try. I did freeze some pesto cubes too. I love your enthusiasm. It really makes the day a bit better. Well done!
Never a bad video I love seeing you in the garden being passionate about growing food and making something beautiful with what you have pumpkins risotto is one of my favorite meals 😍 keep at it!!
Fantastic video. Potatoes are so under rated really yet extremely versatile as a vegetable and ingredient. I love growing them on our no dig allotment plot, so easy to grow even with potatoes from the kitchen that's chitted. The kids love growing them too as its like digging for treasure! Would be great to see you do a self seed video from veggies and fruits we can buy from supermarkets. We like growing peanuts (they need to be the ones in the money nut shells and not roasted)!. Keep up the great work Gaz.
Beautiful video, was lovely to watch. I always enjoy seeing people's gardens in full production! We have just come into spring here in New Zealand, I'm excited to get things out into the garden soon.
I can’t wait to try the basil ice cream!!!! I’m growing 6 types of basil so I think I’ll do a combination of varieties. Thank you for another stunning video! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

So nice of you
I really appreciate your tutoring video.. looking forward to learning how to plant vegetables after harvesting the ones you got already
The garden is gorgeous, the veg is gorgeous, Gaz is gorgeous - what a life!
Oh Gaz - I hope you find them soon - there’s got to be someone other than a sheep out there who’ll enjoy this amazing food!
You don't need any music when you have the sounds of the countryside! ❤
I could watch these garden videos all day every day!
I'm always filled with peace when I see you posted a new video! I really love your content, it's honest, useful, kind, natural.

I also started my gardening journey 3 years ago, it's the best! Nothing beats cooking with your own produce 💚
Try basil tea- it’s a game changer. I got the idea from watching roots and refuge farm. You boil down a bunch of basil, let it cool, and honey and lemon, and then drink cold. So refreshing and such a lovely summer essence to it.
Let’s replace the honey for maple or agave syrup ;)
All your videos are art. Thank you so much for everything you're doing on YT & all, it really helps the animals in the end 🙏🩷🌻

But this Colour 🤗
lots of basil: make canned pesto for the winter months--then use for basil pasta...and put in salad dressings...dts/usa
lol amen to the "I get a cucumber!" that's pretty much how it'll feel always and forever no matter how long you do this
