pick up Chronos Before the ashes when it has sales. It helps you enjoy the whole story tremendously more. It can be clunky and slow but can be methodical and satisfying when you get used to the timing.

Remnant and dark souls/elden ring are the few games I'd happily spend $90+ for the ultimate editions. It's a blessing gunfire games is kind enough to put their ultimate edition at the cost of a regular game and a curse i cannot support them more!

@matthewboyajian9593 Yeah, I was going to play the seasons for d4, but that patch ruined it for me. I might play, but it will be secondary to remnant. D4 is cool though definitely not a 10 game. I'd say around a 7.5 to 8 after all the fluff wears off.
Absolutely loved the first one, it was a hidden gem. Didn't even know there was a second one coming out until about a week ago and immediately pre-ordered it.
Me too this is the ONLY Souls-like that I've played where I had tons of fun and I ended up 100%-ing the game, all weapons, armor accessories, traits maxed, etc.

After yesterday's Diablo 4 patch bomb, Remnant II is about to get a lot more players than it originally would have. I went from being excited to play Diablo 4 Season 1 to being excited to play Remnant II after yesterday's patch.
I hope fromsoft pulls their head out of their asses on the archaic garbage that is coop across all their games. Genius games tho. Amazing. Just...coop is trash tier. Like they hired the internet guy they met back in 1996 and he decided dial-up is the way to go.
Crazy to think this was my first souls like, I effing loved it and played the shit out of it and then tried ds 3 for the first time and got hooked. I'm beyond excited for r2, pre ordered the ultimate edition so I can play early. Let's hope this game launches gunfire games so they can continue making awesome games. I'm playing it right now -as I got review codes from the publisher- and my oh my! this is my game of the year. So much better than the original which was awesome and with so much replay value solo or co-op.
i wonder are there a lot of challengers in "shooter souls" section like in "dark souls" section as well on one hand souls game with guns is a brilliant idea, but i wonder are Remnant was a pioneer in that regard
There was another one called Immortal Unchained that tried to create a similar feel, and at one point even used stamina for gunplay. I think Remnant is the more successful example

This may be a bit cheap but when spendings relic dust to buy the shards be sure to do it in an adventure world set to apocalypse mode as then you have the chance to get higher tier shards faster
My question is this: If you can change your main and secondary classes whenever you want, does that also change what your character looks like? For instance, if you like the look of the challenger, but want to play as a gunslinger/hunter, can you select the challenger at first to lock in what your character looks like, and then change your main class over to being a hunter or gunslinger? Will that allow you to still look like a challenger? Or is that not how this works?
The challenger looks like that due to their armor. Armor affects your appearence, not class. You can buy all the starting gear in the beginning from what i understand, so grab a class you like and the armor and weapons can be bought after.

Preordered this to play it early. Having a great time but a bit disappointed with the Handler class, the dogs not as good as I’d hoped. Would be great if they had a few more animals like maybe an eagle for air attacks, a panther for stealth and maybe a bear for a tank. Still fun to use and I know the more you play the better the dog will get but I restarted as a Gunslinger and having a better time. Absolutely fantastic game and triple bravo to the devs 🙌
It will likely work the same way the first one did. Whichever game you join will progress, while your story stays where it was when you left. But that's not actually a bad thing with the amount of variations in the game. You are much more likely to have a variation and get more items or events in yours, so it's good to play through more than once.

If in a team of 2/3 and a teammate picks up an item (trait/ring/relic) will the other team members automatically receive that item also? Or do they have to locate it themselves? 2. Cant remember the scaling of difficulty in the 1st remnant but if a friend plays and levels up a lot higher and then joins me, how does the enemy scaling work?
1) works like the first, everyone gets it. 2) the scaling of enemies will scale to the highest level of the group if they are more than a few levels of difference from the other party members
@adamnetzen not a max per say, but a minimum for sure. Once it was set it didn't change during the entire campaign. With multiplayer though it will scale the world's generated to the highest gear score of the group
Something I'm not sure to understand: you unlock class, but can you change them or it is a locked decision? Also to change the difficulty you have to reset and reroll your world? Thank a lot ❤ learned a lot

Have the devs said how enemy scaling will work in co-op? I remember in the first game it always scaled off the host so it could make the game either super hard or super easy if there was a significant level difference between the host and the people they invited in.
Not only did it scale off the host, but it also scaled off the host's single highest-upgraded piece of gear, since that was the only way the game could figure out how to gauge a character's strength. Hopefully this time around, there's a bit more finesse in gauging a character's overall power level, especially now that there's a cap to trait points and individual archetypes have their own levels.
is there an incentive to play veteran besides the challenge like more loot drops or more exp or something? or is the rewards the exact same just harder

I thought solo for the first one was horrible for me. Lol, I died so so so many times. This one there is a class with a dog that can be your tank, healer or dps ir seems. I'm definitely taking that one for solo play.
Does that mean that if i play the story mode for....the story? And then want to play adventure mode(because it sounds like it is the "longterm" gameplay mode) i will have to make an entirely new character, reaquire ALL the gear and basicly have all the time i spend in the campaign beeing wasted?

mhm, so they added on to what needed to be improved, good, gives me more to work with other than ripping out my hair getting armor that requires 20 rerolls to get and 20 more to get the amulet for it

i hope we're able to mix the classes how i want, i want to be medic as main with the handler, so i can just support the team like crazy.i never needed to use my dragon hearts in the 1st game since and comparing everything we're seeing now as a support styled player i can truly support my teammates way better than in rem1
Start as medic. When get to town. Buy the whistle from the old man sitting in rocking chair. 1500 scrap. Then go up the stairs to Wallace and buy the other whistle with the current whistle and some easy to get items+another 1000 scrap. When youve aquired 10 skillpoints. Choose the handler as secondary.
Slow laser mod in remnant 2 get nocked down while shooting if timed correctly it will break and shoot infinitely you can swap weapons continue to shoot use the save pounts it doesnt stop till you exit game enjoy as this will likely be fixed in the next update
Yes, you still get a dog if Handler is your secondary archetype. You just don't get access to the Handler's prime perk, which says the dog will attempt to auto-revive you with a relic if you are downed.

Every other "gun souls" felt clunky. Remnant was the first to make the transition between shooting, melee and dodge feel smooth.
Immortal Unchained was my first "souls like" 😅

Numbers & resources. Enemies having more damage/ resistances. Along with less drops of ammo/ upgrade materials

It will likely work the same way the first one did. Whichever game you join will progress, while your story stays where it was when you left. But that's not actually a bad thing with the amount of variations in the game. I googled that myself and apparently it does not. It's possible that crossplay will be added later, but it is not a feature at launch.

Start as medic. When get to town. Buy the whistle from the old man sitting in rocking chair. 1500 scrap. Then go up the stairs to Wallace and buy the other whistle with the current whistle and some easy to get items+another 1000 scrap.
When youve aquired 10 skillpoints. Choose the handler as secondary.

I beat the hell out of the first one I was a tank build high stamina and health and can take hits and I am planning on doing the same on this one
Slow laser mod in remnant 2 get nocked down while shooting if timed correctly it will break and shoot infinitely you can swap weapons continue to shoot use the save pounts it doesnt stop till you exit game enjoy as this will likely be fixed in the next update

Yes, you still get a dog if Handler is your secondary archetype. You just don't get access to the Handler's prime perk, which says the dog will attempt to auto-revive you with a relic if you are downed.
