Just put a new hydraulic pump with bracket. 2. Another auger. 3. New feeder chain. After you fixed up the belts she seems workable. Get your wife a Tesla fsd, maybe high miles so she can get you stuff if you let her. I MEAN TAKE IN THE old part to match up. She will feel more needed if ya'll play it some. That way the paint on the 1155 and the 1800 will get done. Have her get ya'll some fire engine red paint and make all of them look really good. Impressed with your work ethic and keeping the 6600 John Deere eating soy. The truck to haul to market, do they lift them or dump through a grate, I mean I am talking about steel circular storage for higher price. Have to balance cost of tanks and selling for a higher price if ya'll can beat the co-op finegaler for cost. He can cost you big if he gets messed up.
I have an Allis Chalmers WD wide front with a pipe frame loader. It's by no means any kind of jewel, heck that little tractor isn't good for much of anything in the way of field work. What the WD is good for is those times where you have to lift or move something that's just a little to heavy to move by hand and it is definitely better than a scoop shovel on more than one occasion. I have less than $1,000 in that little tractor and it's probably saved me more money than that in doctor bills and chiropractor bills. It doesn't get used all that much, but it's sure nice to have around in a pinch. I refer to that tractor as "my hired man" since I'm usually working by myself.
I dunno looking at that combine if you can find another junk combine that is the compliment of yours and ake one good one maybe. Otherwise, it looks more like death by 1000 cuts to me,
Well… that auger was perfect until ‘21 harvest. We had mud like this year and my combine was slip sliding all over, well, I was too close to a utility pole (auger down) and didn’t know I swiped it till I was done in the field 🤦🏻♂️
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 ha!.... I knew it wasn't on porpoise! Lol! We had a 6600 here a few years back. Was a good combine and not too hard to repair...but that folding auger was bent one time so it took a little wiggling to get it upright and locked in place. But then...we all have a little problem once in awhile! Don't we?? 😉
JT you’re always busy, that’s incredible! Sunday is now always my around the farm day! I love what you’re with the 1105 with your way of treatment it’ll look brand new pretty soon 🤙🏻
It's your time and money but I'd keep that 6600 for parts and go find another good one to buy. I can't see a nice working one being worth more that $3-4000 in today's money...
Move the Steiger to a new parking spot. Then place all the JD stuff where the Steiger was. That way the JD stuff can blend in with the natural scenery and watch how real tractors work! Lol
Good job dude I think it's cool and I respect the way you keep your old Machinery working and do farming the old fashioned way something not many do anymore
Fix the 66 JT. My 66 was built in '71 and I did the exact same fix. Shaft had snapped 😳 off of the hydraulic pump so I replaced it with a newer one. My pump has a rubber strap to hold it from spinning. My transmission obliterated itself just because it could. It had no gears left and had to be towed into the 😂shed. Damn thing stunk like shit. Depending on use, change out lube at least once every 2 years. Fresh oil means 😌 a lot to this trans. Don't forget the final drives, the old girl will thank you 😘 ☺️ 😊!!
Mine has the rubber strap, but the bracket to the rubber strap broke at the bolts. I welded it once and it lasted another 15 acres lol. I’ll probably have this combine till I there’s nothing left of it lol
My opinion is that you should fix the old combine so it’s useable but use the newer one. The old combine can be your back up and weed machine. Use it for weedy Fields of soybeans and use your newer combine for everything else.
If you think having a loader tractor is nice, get a skidsteer. I grew up in an area where everyone had a loader tractor. A couple years ago, I started working part-time for a guy who has an old, crusty Ford skidsteer. The skidsteer is so much more nimble, it's not even a contest.

The guy who rented my Grandmothers farm had both an 1155 and an 1105 new. Nice looking tractors. I would like to see the Green Bastard in the field next spring before you let her go.
One thing I don’t miss about my 1155 Massey tractor is mounting tires with those wedges. Nothing wrong with a backup combine when you’re running those old girls, I’d skip the transmission as long as it keeps on working, but I’ll watch you change it out. I was born to be a supervisor!! Like you said if it dies you not really loosing any money on it what's point in getting rid off it. Unless someone comes along with right money. L.o.l
If You haven't gott Power⚡Back yet J.T....Hope You do Soon👍🧟..We have Power but have Frozen Pipes @ Our FARM-House...Thawing-Now🔥💦... Gona' Miss the GREEN🧌BASTARD🚜😭
Got my power back last night about 430. Luckily had my wood stove going so we kept warm all weekend !
I’m in the process of having to change my front axle and axle pin on my turd 245. The work never stops with old tractors. Yes Massey nation. Awesome video.
I’ve done one of those on a 255 I had several years back. Seems like it wasn’t a terrible job 😉
No it’s not hard but I have a very nice unheated garage and it’s 2 degrees now. Think I’m gonna wait till warm weather.
The guy who rented my Grandmothers farm had both an 1155 and an 1105 new. Nice looking tractors. I would like to see the Green Bastard in the field next spring before you let her go.
Might happen. Might just get that old versy just because 😉
Like I said the Verstile has your name on it!!

If you want an auger with a bit more reach, i think you can put one from a pull type 7701 on. They are a couple feet longer.
That would be good with me!
@@jtsbarnngrill6873just more auger to bash in, because it's closer to the trees 😂 pay attention to your auger position and you'll be fine...
I would keep the old green basterd, it's a pretty awesome tractor
If my friend doesn’t want it, it’s probably safe here lol
Good job 👏
Enjoy watching your videos 📹
Glad you like them!
Is that a Vevor seat?
It is.
JT please get some rock to get out of the mud.
I got some this fall, but need another load for that entrance. The other stone all went in front of the big barn mud holes.
Lmao 🤣 Keep on flipping projects. Gives something interesting to watch.
Born to supervise or be part of the peanut gallery🤣🤣
@@burrridgefarms either or is good enough for me if I can skip the getting greasy part. Lmao 🤣
Right on! Sometimes I need a little supervision lol!
I figured as much Chad 🤣🤣
@@burrridgefarms tell you I could be covered in cow 💩 all day and not fuss about it, but get soaked in hydraulic oil and my pleasant demeanour goes south fast.
